Good drinks. Every time we go the employees get our drinks wrong or size wrong though.

Back in Idaho Falls and stopped at Java Express once again. And once again, did not disappoint! Prices are comparable to most coffee places. Java Express is a drive through, and does not offer a "sit down" type shop. The drive through is always convenient. Although they did not have the sugar free option for the "Heavenly" latte, that I had last year, that barista (who was friendly, professional, and hospitable) suggested the "Samoa" which was quite tasty and equally as good as the "Heavenly". Fantastic nitro and cold brew coffee! I think their nitro coffee rates very high on my top ten best brews. Super smooth, robust flavor but not overpowering coffee. There are two drive thrus wrapping around this little shop and the service we experienced as one of the best coffee shop experiences as well. They gave us a sample of their cold and nitro so I could decide which was very nice. The menu has many concoction drinks as well as simple basics so whatever suits your coffee tastes. In addition they have flavored sodas, teas, and smoothies as well. Definitely will be stopping by again on the way back. read more

Great drive thru coffee place, with a much shorter line than the nearby Starbucks. I ordered a bold coffee, and it was piping hot and delicious. My boyfriend got the light roast and he also loved it. Deducting a point because of the no masks issue. Listen, I know I'm in Idaho and Covid isn't really a consideration for some populations, but it's a public health issue, not just regional. My family got 3 really good coffees! The menu has a wide range of options for whatever you're feeling. And they also have a TON of sugar free flavors which surprised me and would be good for anyone who is diabetic or sensitive to sugar. The lady who took our order was super friendly and helped us with our questions! The reason I'm putting 4 stars is because there isn't a menu until you're at the window so make sure to figure out what you want before hand because there will likely be a line. So we stopped by here for coffee. Their drive through intercom wasn't working, the girl came to take our order but we didn't have a menu to choose from. That's not well organized. She was nice taking our order but didn't know anything about the menu. We got the latte and an americano. The latte was very average, the americano was blah. It was very bland and watered down. We also got a muffin and while the portion size was good the flavor was dull. Wouldn't recommend this place again. Maybe if you're a local and you know what's good but we got basic stuff and we didn't enjoy it much. The girls were nice though so 2 stars. Facility, employees and chocolate (used in mocha) is five star all the way. Unfortunately, the espresso is undrinkable. (My wife took a sip and dumped the rest.) There are so many good espressos that I can't fathom how a business can serve something so bitter in 2022 is perplexing. Order some Vivace out of Seattle. Figure out what they're doing. read more

Made this quick stop out of town on our way back to Arco. We were pleasantly surprised, never been to a Java Express before. The beverages are refreshing and the girls working were incredibly friendly and helpful! Definitely choose this over Starbucks When visiting Idaho Falls. read more

I love the iced coffees here! However, if you are short on time, go inside instead of going in the drive-thru. They have an ordering issue: the first and second vehicles in the drive-thru get shafted if a worker comes out to take the orders of the vehicles behind them; the orders for the later vehicles likely run through the system before the first two vehicles due to the first two vehicles ordering at the window. This is likely why going inside is a faster experience. I've seen and been the unfortunate first/second vehicle who are asked to pull forward so that the third and succeeding vehicles can get their drinks and leave--and it's not a pleasant experience. If Java Espress fixes this issue, it will earn 5 stars from me. read more

Ehhhh average coffee. Came to get two blended coffees because that's my husbands and my jam. My husband got a white chocolate raspberry coffee with whip on top. I got the almond joy with whip. He wasn't sure about his at first but ended up deciding it was alright. My almond joy was just a whole lot of chocolate and missing that coconut taste. We compared to our favorite coffee house where we get blended coffee and definitely not even close to that. Also this place is express which implies that they are quick but it wasn't a quick wait even though we were the only people. With the amount of coffee houses around I would definitely seek out a coffee house. We did this place just because we didn't want to get out of the car with our kids and it's right next to the freeway where we needed to get on. Update-- I called this morning to talk to a manager because I was sick all night and had realized they gave me a medium instead of the large I ordered on top of giving me normal milk. She was extremely friendly and helpful and assured me she strives for better costumer service in her team. I will go back and try them again, hopefully my allergy will be taken seriously. Hopefully the baristas will learn that if someone asks for a different milk there is a reason. Almond milk doesn't taste better, so clearly if I'm asking for it it's because I need it for my health. And if they mess up the girls there need to learn to say sorry and try and right their wrong, not just sweep it under the rug. read more

The original purveyor of espresso and blended beverages in Idaho Falls is Java Espress. Their original kiosk on Broadway has moved closer to I-15 but the same local charm and quality products remain. The newer, larger location also sells fruit and juice smoothies which are similar to those one can purchase at Jamba Juice. Java Espress also carries Jet Tea and coffee granitas, which are a nice change of pace from the usual "Frappucino" style blended beverage. There is only a very small counter and 2 stools for "indoor seating" so this is primarily a drive through establishment. read more

I like this place ok if I want to run through a quick drive-through. Their bagels are good. Unfortunately, in my opinion their flavored coffees and smoothies are just mediocre. They recently started doing flavored sodas and I was disappointed with the one I ordered. It tasted more like an Italian soda and not like the new popular flavored sodas you can get in specialty soda shops. I ordered something with Mountain Dew as a base and it tasted like cream soda was used. read more
