With a quick Yelp search, found J&J, reviews were impressive but still was not sure, as most of the reviews were for food and there specialty coffees, really wanted a good cappuccino after a week long on cruise, and glad I went to J&J, as they made cappuccino perfect for me. It's usually 12 & 20oz, I asked to cut down on milk for the 12oz one, place was crazy crowded and barista had too many orders, so wasn't sure if would do the way I asked, but they did, had to wait 20ish mins to place order and 15mins to get cappuccino but it was worth it. read more

Went here earlier today after church and lets say it was nothing but smooth sailing. Rarely in Fort Lauderdale you have ease of comfort with classy ambience. A staff member came up to my table asked me how everything was I explained I believe my drink was made wrong and without hesitation he came back with a fresh drink, thank you Patrick! read more

This is a great brunch place in Fort Lauderdale! There are plenty of vegetarian options and the types of lattes. I got an iced churro latte and was worried it would be too sweet, but it was perfect. The burrata baguette was amazing and I loved the side salad. It was the perfect amount of food. The waitress was very friendly as well! Would recommend this place for anyone visiting Fort Lauderdale. I'd recommend sitting outside as well if the weather is good! read more

Decided to finally try this breakfast place and I was pleasantly surprised with the food. A little bit too cold inside considering the fact that it was 65° outside this morning and now I have the sniffles while and typing this. Confidence? Ummmm obsessed! AMAZING brunch. I had the herb biscuit Benedict and added avocado at the server's suggestion- she was right. It was so good. I also had the creme brûlée latte and LOVEDDDDD it. The hashbrown side was also delish. The fried chicken biscuit was good too, and the pancakes were delicious. Overall great vibe and delicious food. read more

Excellent newish brunch spot on a rapidly built up stretch of Las Olas near Andrews. Service was great and food was good 5 star ambience: for the first floor of a modern building they have given some old world charm with decoration and lighting. It's bustling but not loud 5 star service: staffers here are uniformly friendly and efficient. The front desk directed us to the counter to avoid a long wait and the server was sweet and funny 4 star food: my spinach salad was terrific. The grilled chicken across the top was just in large very dry chunks. Price points are high for the entrees. read more

The only good part of this experience was the service. I did not enjoy one single other element. My cappuccino came lukewarm, if not, on the colder side. It was disappointing but it took so incredibly long to come I didn't want to send it back and wait for another. Then I got the eggs Benedict and the egg was overcooked and the hollandaise was COLD and also very lemon forward. It was disgusting honestly, I didn't feel well after eating it. My mom's food was fine. I ended up paying our $50 bill (hefty for not enjoying anything) and going to the Starbucks across the street for coffee. Lesson learned. read more

Great energy, food and variety with a super friendly and helpful staff here at Java & Jam. A huge outdoor eating area; great for people watching off Las Olas Blvd. Right when you walk in there is a coffee/tea and cocktail bar. Speaking of cocktails, there is and interesting cocktail menu with many interesting choices. I ordered the delicious Shrimp and Grits special served with 2 poached eggs. Very generous portion and the shrimp was crispy and served over southern style seasoned grits that has tremendous flavors. My wife had the Salmon Toast served over arugula salad. The bread that was toasted had 2 poached eggs on top. Had to share the Bamana Bread French toast. Huge portion even when we split it, it was thick and had to take half home. Delicious!!! I would have to say this is one of the best breakfast places I've eaten at in Ft. Lauderdale. Our wait was 20 minutes as promised but they have comfortable couches at the entrance you can sit on and wait if you'd like. They will text you when your table is ready. The menu has a huge variety of special dishes you don't see anywhere else and to top it off, there are specials to boot. We can't wait to go back and try new choices. read more

Food- eggs benedict had a herb flavor and eggs were poached perfectly, delicious. Hash browns were crispy on outside and soft on the inside. Avocado toast with fried eggs was simple and I have had better. French toast and pancakes were good. Iced tea and latte were flavorful. Service - fair Ambiance- city coffee shop meets topical breakfast oasis. Note: check your bill in detail before paying. Was looking for a nice breakfast spot and found this lovely gem. Cindy, our server, made us feel right at home with her warm and friendly demeanor. She was attentive without being overbearing, and really added to the overall positive vibe of the place. The food was absolutely delicious. Each dish was flavorful and fresh. The coffee was a standout too - rich, aromatic, and the perfect start to our morning. Overall, it was a great dining experience. We stopped by recently and were really looking forward to trying this place. Unfortunately, we ended up leaving after waiting about 10 minutes at the hostess stand without being greeted or acknowledged. It was a nice crowd and the atmosphere seemed lively, but it didn't appear so busy that someone couldn't at least come over and say, "Hi, we'll be with you in just a moment." Even a quick acknowledgment would have made a big difference. We completely understand that restaurants can get hectic, and we're always happy to be patient, but not being acknowledged at all made us feel a bit overlooked. It was disappointing because the place seemed lovely otherwise. We may give it another try in the future and hope for a warmer welcome next time. read more

Been back to Java & Jam many times during my visits to Ft.L. I'll chose this place all day long over the Starbucks across the street. I love their coffee and how the offer sugarfee options and flavors. They even have almond milk as my low carb option. The food was good but there are limited options and it's a little pricey for what you get. I think you are paying so much because it is on las olas, but the food wasn't any better than like first watch. Drinks were named cute and tasted but again, overpriced. Service was great and the place is kinda like dress for brunch type vibes. I don't know if I would go back because it just wanted anything spectacular. read more

Great spot for lunch or brunch on las Olas! Sat outside where the outdoor fans kept the patio perfectly cool and comfortable. The food was good! The bacon egg and cheese sandwiches were good along with the shrimp bowl. They also had a seasonal coffee meaning with a good set of options for all. Stopped by for some brunch on a Saturday, which they were a bit quite busy. The inside was a nice interior loved the design. We were greeted by two hostess which was cool, one of them took us to our seat and then followed 10-20 mins later our server. We started off with some water then we order some drinks off the seasonal menu, my partner got an ice coffee and I got the winter in Florida refresher. Both drinks were great, I love the winter in Florida one though it was refreshing and you can taste all the ingredients but I would love to know what soda they used for it to! The food came which my server was able to accommodate me since I didn't want fries but in the end I told him to leave it and try it out but when the food came I didn't see the fries but well it was fine, everything was great but the steak wasn't flavorful i thought it would be :(. The salad that came with it was decent as well the Cole slaw I order as a side wasn't favorite either idk it was something about the taste of it just didn't sit right with me The coconut chia pudding wasn't really my fan favorite either the fresh fruit on top made the pudding a bit tolerable. But I love my partner French toast though it was delicious! Overall it was a good brunch spot but I'll probably order something else than the steak and avoid the Cole slaw as well. read more

My new favorite breakfast spot! If you're close to downtown Fort Lauderdale and need a breakfast spot, look no further! Java and Jam is superb. The food, coffee and the staff are 5 stars. The chicken biscuit sandwich is a huge portion and packed with flavor! The pepper marmalade mixed with the sausage gravy takes it to another level! If you're looking for a healthy option, get the chicken rice bowl. It's super light but filling. The restaurant is mid modern and has an amazing vibe. Cute location and easy to get to. We usually park at the parking garage across the street and walk over. The wait here can be long but I will say it is worth it. The menu has a nice variety, the coffee drinks are also great. I appreciate the option to spike them and they offer a seasonal drink menu of non alcoholic drinks as well. I am not a coconut loving girl but the banana bread french toast with coconut butter absolutely sings to my soul. Love to get a sweet and a savory while I'm here, you can't go wrong with any of the Benedict's. The corn beef is homemade and it shows, 10/10 would recommend. We had breakfast here on the patio. There are tons of fans which create a nice breeze. Our server was friendly. I had an iced chai which was very tasty. Hubby liked his iced latte. We shared an avocado toast and the egg and bacon sandwich with a side of hash browns. The eggs for the sandwich are cooked pretty thin and folded, so we're a tad dry, but the flavor was good. The eggs on the avo toast were sunny side up and perfectly runny. The avo toast had a sweet pepper marmalade. It was delicious, but I'm glad we shared the 2 dishes because I think it would have been too sweet to eat the entire thing. read more

My second time at Java & Jam! This is a cute, nice brunch spot in Fort Lauderdale. I got the classic, which comes with 2 eggs any way, toast, and a choice of 2 sides (I chose hashbrowns and cheddar grits). We got the shakshouka as well which was flavorful and the toast was perfect crisped. Finally, I got an iced butterbeer latte, which came out first as very milky and our server (Maja) noticed this and got me another cup (we think they forgot to add espresso the first time lol). The food was tasty and the coffee was pretty good, and our server was very friendly and attentive. Overall, a nice option for brunch in the area. read more

This is one of my favorite brunch spots in Las Olas! There is often a wait during typical brunch weekend hours, but it's worth it! I loved the veggie omelette & their specialty coffee selection is really good- I got the Churro latte which was really tasty! Adorable brunch place on las olas. They do not take reservations but do offer a waitlist that you can sign up for online. The food was pretty good. The burger was solid, flavorful, what you would expect. The overnight oats were a surprising highlight! Probably one of my favorite items on the list! They have a variety of tasty coffee options and their fresh squeeze juice is a must get! The service is extremely friendly but very slow. If you need to be in and out quick just let your server know up front and they will adjust. read more

We visited Java & Jam early one Saturday morning with our two dogs. We were seated immediately at an outdoor table, though it seems there's usually a wait, we got lucky! The best surprise was the dog menu--our pups shared the eggs and bacon, which was a generous portion for two smaller dogs. They absolutely loved it! For us, we ordered the herb biscuit egg Benedict and a make-your-own omelette. Both dishes were delicious. We also tried the banana bread, but it was skippable as it wasn't really the best. So we finally got to check this place out. I love Java and Jam. It's very dog friendly and has a big outside patio where you are embraced by the outdoor las olas area. The atmosphere is super comfortable and welcoming. There are so many food options and from what we got, they are good. There's a reason why this place is rated number 1. We were not disappointed. We had a great visit to start, but our waitress got busy and then we didn't see her for a long while. Other patrons waited forever to order and receive a drink around this time too. I paid the peri peri homemade sauce, only to be given a combo of used bottles. I had to specifically request for a new (unused) bottle! Came here by chance on a Sunday and had to wait about 45 minutes. I knew it was going to be good based on the wait time and the line formation outside . I had the mango crush and it tasted so refreshing . It's huge , it could be for two people so keep that in mind. To eat I got the steak and eggs, the steak was tender and juicy and the sauce on top was so delicious. I wish I had tried more stuff but I was so full. The menu looks great, make sure you either make a reservation or come with time to spare, it gets crowded. read more

Service: 6/10 It took us a long time to get our server at every instance - ordering, refills, check. Atmosphere: 7/10 Although outside, it was not well kept. Our table was sticky and our chairs had crumbs. Food under the tables near us. Food: 8/10 A lot of variety, the banana bread is delicious. The coconut butter is just spreadable coconut flakes. Ordered coffees for the office on 5/20 around 11am, and unfortunately had a really poor experience with the employee working the coffee station. I ordered a dry cappuccino, and he responded with "What does that even mean?" after I explained it meant light milk. The entire interaction made me feel like I was inconveniencing him just by ordering coffee from a coffee shop. When the drink came out, it was literally just a cup of warm milk with no espresso in it. I walked back down to let him know, and the response was simply, "Oh did I?" -- no apology, no effort to remake it properly, no refund, and honestly no customer service at all. Really disappointing because I actually love the restaurant and brand overall, but the coffee experience was completely unacceptable. God forbid you order coffee from a coffee shop. Unacceptable. read more

Great breakfast and delicious coffee! Stopped here for a quick and filling last stop before we headed to the airport to end our trip. There was a group of 5 of us and our waiter was quick and attentive for a Sunday morning as business was picking up! I ordered the egg tacos with a side of bacon and a creme brûlée iced coffee. Egg tacos were very delicious and flavorful. Another popular item at our table was the pancake stack. All food was delicious and not a complaint from anyone! We used the waitlist feature, which was great. We waited about 40 mins total. It was a crowded Sunday. We sat outside, which is lovely with lots of vines and greenery. The service was okay- the hostess barely looked up from her phone to acknowledge us- and we watched this happen repeatedly. Our server was friendly, just not very attentive but it was busy. Honestly, this place is a train-wreck. I keep coming back thinking that it may get better and it literally never gets better it only gets worse. I originally started coming here because a wonderful server from another restaurant I used to frequent took a job as a server here. The first few visits were littered with problems; wrong food, wrong drink, wrong amount on the bill. But I kept coming back, which, by definition, was stupid on my part. Today I came back with some friends visiting from out of town. We should have just left when I texted my favorite server to see if she was working and she told me she had recently quit. But alas, we stayed because it started to rain. We put our names down for an inside table and were told it would be 20-25 minutes. We asked about the availability of an outside table and were told that there were none available; I was looking at 5 open tables outside and 1 open table inside. We sat and waited patiently for about 20 minutes and watched as people kept walking up and being sat at the open outside tables. Finally, a table became available inside, and as we approached the table, the hostess said that we could not sit there bc one of the groups of people that had opted for first available and that had been seated outside had asked to be moved inside, and bc they were already sat they were now first in line for the table we had waited 26 minutes for. When we asked to speak to the manager he was dismissive, and could only tell us that it was busy today and we needed to be patient. When he saw me writing this Yellreview, we received free drinks and were immediately sat at an inside table. Unfortunately its too little too late. A customer shouldnt have to write a Yelp review to get above average service. This will be my last visit. read more

First time visiting from Colorado. The sign said seat yourself. However after seating yourself plan on waiting at least 5-8 mins before someone greets you. When we were greeted our server was clearly not in a good mood or wanting to be at work. She didn't introduce herself, wasn't pleasant, and barely came to the table to check. She had a cheetah headband on tattoos on her arm. It took 30 mins for our food to hit the table and while we waited she never gave us an update on how long. after 30 mins of waiting for food, our food came out and my husband's food had been sitting under the heat lamp in the kitchen overcooking his eggs and drying out. She never came to checked on the quality of the food. We had to ask another server to grab a manager for us. After explaining to the manager that our issue was our server and the food, the manager apologized and comped our entire meal which was more than we asked for. The server never came over to apologize for her lack of service and care. We also noticed that she was training another server and hope management rethinks who should be training new employees to represent their restaurant. read more

Im a local and came in for Sunday brunch I ordered the banana bread French toast, We also ordered the ham special. And an herb biscuit benedict. which was great but my service was terrible. It's a shame because I really like the food but my server Ariel was not attentive when we asked her for recommendations she gave us an attitude, we felt like we were being rushed out. We waited 10 minutes for jams and butters and syrup. We didn't mind waiting for food it took a little longer than expected. Overall, my experience was underwhelming. I don't quite understand the hype surrounding this place, and I doubt I'll be returning, especially with so many other great breakfast options in the area. The service was mediocre at best. Our server seemed disengaged and might be better suited for a different line of work. As for the food, I had a veggie omelette that was disappointingly bland. On a brighter note, the hashbrowns were a delightful surprise, offering a nice symphony of flavors across my palate. I wish I could give zero stars. Avacado toast? I'll take none. I would compare this place to a Bob Evans or iHop. The food quality was terrible. Like, I wouldn't serve this poor quality food to my worst enemies. The server was nice but got our entire order wrong. And who doesn't do bottomless mimosas? Oh and the Champaign is cheaper than the orange juice with a splash of Champaign AKA their version of a mimosa. I am deeply regretting come to this place. Went on Mother's Day, it took over 1hr and 15 minutes before we got food, our poor waitress was Amazing I got my coffee refilled about 5x WAITING, i typically never give such a low rating but on this day there is no excuse for a slow kitchen, the place was not packed, I watched several tables sat near us eat and LEAVE before my eggs Benedict arrived. Came here after getting my blood drawn this morning and I don't regret it! The food was spectacular, my server Sofia helped me pick out the apple cinnamon French toast with an apple Bellini which I loved. Sofias energy was so welcoming and happy that I hope I get her as my server again when I do come back! The location is also lovely, not too far from the beach and close to other stores which I love. the photos online don't do this place any justice. the food is out of this world packed with flavor every bite was just packed with mouth watering flavor. as a family we travel and by far this one of the best breakfast and brunch place we have been too. we had Cyndi as our waitress and she didn't not steer us wrong from both our drinks to our food. we got to sit at the bar and watch the chefs work their magic. I had a wonderful breakfast experience at Java & Jam. I sat outdoors on the patio and enjoyed a breathtaking ambience. The patio is surrounded by beautiful ferns, creeping ivy, and other standing and hanging plants. I ordered the classic eggs benedict, and it was exceptional. I also ordered the peach mimosa and it was outstanding as well. The menu was extensive and offered many different options. Our server's name was Greg, he was polite, friendly, and attentive. I visited this restaurant for the first time and unfortunately had a very disappointing experience. I ordered a BLT, but they forgot the bacon. Additionally, the coffee was served cold, and the Diet Coke was flat. The staff did not seem apologetic at all. A BLT without bacon and cold coffee are basic expectations that were not met. This place used to be my weekend favorite, the tomato bisque, mozzarella sticks, banana nut bread toast, and tuna melt were all amazing. I stopped by today after a long time away and was so disappointed. The old menu is gone, replaced with fancy coffee flavors like crème brûlée and pumpkin spice.
