Same employee took me in and told me I would have to pay a $125 diagnostic fee for my transmission issue. It would be removed from the repairs if they did them later. Sounds fair. I then asked her for a quote for a scenario with my car....."How much would you charge me to remove a faulty transmission and install a remanufactured one". She said she could not possibly answer this. Took my car to two other shops and left with a quote immediately. Why would I invest $125 if I didn't know what their charge was for a transmission replacement, which I'm pretty sure I need. The young service lady also claimed that I was condescending and disrespectful. She is the last employee I would want to represent my business.

I asked him if he could do an oil change on my Ford. He gave me an appt. and serviced the car while I waited. Brought my SRT Challenger in for a vibration issue and a tire rotation. He diagnosed the vibration to be a bent wheel. His knowledge and the capabilities of his staff were beyond my expectations. They're all dedicated to their jobs and are customer conscientious. Parts could be my separate responsibility, so I would only have the charges for labor. The relevant information that was conveniently left out is that the labor fee is $170.00 per hour! Next, they tried to tell me that my engine light was on (it was not, nor has it ever been) and that it would be another $136.00 for a diagnostic. Really?!?! Overall, I was there a little less than 2 hours, so the quote was not really accurate or honest and I am completely dissatisfied with the spiel. I will not be back, and definitely would not recommend this business to any family or acquaintances. Through a miss fire on bank two only to find out the coil pack was missing a screw. was told whoever worked on it last must have done that however they were the last ones. The reason they received the work was for the original quote and then was told the older hemi's only had 8? My experience with Richard's Automotive is far different than most of the recent reviews. I was…read morehoping Richard's Automotive could fix a coolant leak in a Ford F150 Turbo, a 13-hour billable repair and about $2,300.00. After 10 days (eight working days) and multiple excuses/lies I got my truck back with the front tires rubbing when turning, turbo leaks, and a check engine light with a turbo error displayed within 20 miles of pick-up, all documented by Ford. I gave Richard's Automotive the opportunity to be a responsible business and make good on their bad repair, they chose to defend the undefendable. Luckily, Ford was able to correct their incomplete or poor repair, provided video and written evidence that Richard's Automotive did not complete the repair correctly. Unfortunately, the Ford repair of Richard's Automotive negligence cost me an additional $1,400.00. I warn potential customers of this: if your repair is taking too long and the excuses pile up, you should be concerned with the quality of their work. Don't drive off without first test driving the vehicle.
