I'm a long time DIY auto mechanic. I've been a pretty loyal AutoZone customer for many years - mostly for their lifetime warranty on most replacement parts. Brake pads, alternators, starters, etc. My old Nissan pickup with 450,000 miles (finally sold) was a nightmare to the parts counter: buy it once, and return every 100K or so for warranty replacements. It worked good for me!
The Jasper AutoZone has been my main shop for the last 6 years. They always have what I need from my Ford truck and Hyundai Sonata. I even have a few classics that I can get parts for at "the Zone."
The counter staff is always helpful and courteous. They'll also recommend things that I might need to do a job - I have most of what I need for most jobs, but I appreciate the reminder. It's an up-sell for them, but if you get into the job and don't have what you need to finish the job, it means another trip to the store, or a corner cut.
They don't always have what I need - but I can come up with some pretty unusual requests. It never hurts to ask before I have to seek special attention. I can't remember any time that I was genuinely disappointed with any of the AutoZones that I've used. read more
