I believe my bridesmaid had ordered the blueberry mochi donuts and the ube mochi donuts. If you haven't been to Jason's Donuts yet in Eagle River, you really need to check them out. Fantastic service! Amazing donuts! Great value! I can't say enough great things about Jason's donuts! I've been here multiple times and each experience is better than the last! First time going I was a bit daunted because of the number of amazing choices they had it almost seemed a bit overwhelming, but the young lady behind the counter was so very patient while I decided and was happy to go over every single flavor with me! It was great! Each visit after that they'll have new flavors and I ask them what they are and no matter how many tines they get asked that by previous customers, they still are just as patient with me as they were with the first person who asked! The donuts are very large and quite affordable for how much donut you get (a dozen has easily been breakfast for my immediate family of 8 for two days!) The shop is always clean when I come and no matter how many people are in line, the lovely ladies behind the counter working make it as calm of an environment as possible! I've come in very very pregnant with my toddler to get donuts for my relatives who were coming into town and one of the ladies offered to carry the donuts to the car for me which was the sweetest gesture!! I am beyond happy to give Jason's donuts my business any day!! (Note: they state this on their Facebook page but they are a "until sold out" donut shop, so the earlier you can get there the better. The donuts are delicious and the people are very friendly. Jason's donuts do not give me that heavy feeling after having a donut which is a bonus. The size will have me cutting one donut into multiple pieces that will take me all day to finish. I think my favorite are the donut holes. Might be the best donut I've ever had... and I've sampled donuts all over the country! This place has voodoo beat for-sure... idk about those little hot and ready donut holes from pikes place market in Seattle tho. Those are pretty fire cause they're made fresh on the spot. But this guy, Jason- he has got his dough down! These donuts are HUGE it's more like a mini cake. The rise on this dough is phenomenal, light and fluffy. And the frosting... I would call it gourmet donut glaze. You can tell he made it from scratch, not some out of the can generic flavored crap you get with 99% of maple and chocolate donuts. Don't pass this place up! I finally got there early enough to stand in line to try these donuts everyone was talking about. They were good, and HUGE but not what I expected for the price they are charging. I just thought they tasted like most other donuts I have had in the area, just more expensive. Went there and the costumer before me bought the last donut. Ok. Lady behind the counter was rude. No apologies just informed me to come back when they open again. I said nope and walked out the door. Won't be coming back. I was raised in Pennsylvania on apple fritters and scrapple (*), so I'm particular about my fritters. I just had the best non-Pennsylvanian fritter in my life today, and even though it was pineapple and did not have raisins, I loved every bite. FINALLY. We found a Great donut shop for our occasional sugary breakfast goodness needs. This place is wonderful. Outside, it is located in a dirt lot with a strange dark door leading inside. My first thought, unsure. Once you walk in, everything changes. A well kept display of hot fresh donuts with plenty to choose. The donuts are huge! The employees are young and very friendly. She walks me through the choices they have and is patient as we make a decision. We choose a chocolate sprinkle & double chocolate cake donut. Holy smokes , AMAZING. Donuts run about $2.00-$3.00 each but are worth it. And PSA, They are closed Mondays but that's no problem if you plan around it. We shall be back. read more
