Occasionally someone will smile or at least not scowl, and stop talking about skincare and social plans for long enough to help a customer, but mostly it's borderline hostile from the moment they unlock the door and deign to let you into their precious store. Particularly egregious is the older woman with long red hair. Time and again, she's shockingly rude. In the immortal words of Edina Monsoon: "You only work in a shop you know. So that should tell you about their service ethic. Then there is the experience of dealing directly with the designers of a clothing brand. They could take one look at me with this or that item and size up exactly what was needed in like (not kidding) 15 seconds. I also got a tutorial in how the mechanics of a fashion business works, from where the materials are sourced to where it's cut to where it's tailored. I love this place mainly because my shirts look great - but I love all the expertise, art and service that goes into doing business with them. I did a graduate degree in French and have spent a lot of time there. I know the historic grading system very well - I give GROUPE 19/20. The only reason I don't give 20 is because, as a French professor once explained to me, "only God gets 20/20 in France."

The 2 staff members were informative, fun to chat with, and helpful especially with fixing a jammed slot in the print machine. Sizes run large as my Small was suuuper oversized -- that's on me tho bc the gentleman I was speaking with offered to me to try it on before purchasing. I spent several minutes hunting for a customer service number but could find nothing but an email based interface. I sent in the message, by this time 10 minutes after placing the order asking them to cancel the order. However, they did not read the message and respond until late in the day and by then it was too late. I am now out $54 and my husband won't get his Father's Day gift. I won't be ordering from this company again. A company that is too cheap to have a customer service phone, or to respond to emails quickly does not deserve my business.

The experts who work in the back on all the products deserve recognition for their craft. These experts are hard to find in this niche market so I am fortunate the company is still around. Although my purchases are generally small and I am not from retail/manufacturing, it is no wonder that businesses from all over the world would come to this place for all sorts of materials/products. Combined with impeccable customer service and quality winter fashion, this is a great business model for other companies to follow towards success. What I appreciate is the genuine customer warranty. Given that there are usually wear and tear and damages from yearsssss of use (at least for me it was that way), I was afforded many opportunities by Martine (given that there were more than one items bought!) to have had repairs. In the last yearsss, it was free. Today was $5 (pandemic and rising costs reasons) and that is okay! The point is to create sustainability and not have to rebuy every single year and replace with new items every time something is broken. Not to say their goods are not durable, but it is mainly that my stuff took a heavy beating and needed fixes on average about once every several years. Jack, who I believe is the manager or owner, greeted me and offered helpful advice on where to place the buttons, and then, worked out a price with me that fit my budget. When I returned to pick up the coats, it turned out his people had needed extra time to fix things up, so he offered to ship me my coats free of charge - which was fantastic, as it saved me the effort of lugging them across town. I received them almost immediately, in fantastic condition. Not only had they put a row of beautiful, but discretely invisible, buttons where I'd wanted them, but also added a second row in case I ever wanted to wear the coats a little looser. They'd done such a great job fixing the gash that I didn't even remember quite where it was. I fully recommend this place for its great customer service, reasonable prices and quality repair. (And it looks like they have a pretty gorgeous selection of new coats, as well!)
