I have known Dr. Jason for many years, and apart from being a man of impeccable integrity and kindness, he is a true master of his craft, which he's been continuously practicing for nearly two decades. He is well known in NYC, and I'm sure his Yelp reviews would be an extensive series of 5 stars if he had been listed on this site earlier. Of all the chiropractors I've seen over the past eleven years for my chronic neck injury, he is the only one who has been able to actually *solve* the problem and not merely give me temporary relief.
Unlike some chiropractors who have you in and out in five minutes, "cracking" you and moving on to adjust the next patient as quickly as possible, Dr. Jason is friendly, courteous, and really takes his time to listen to your concerns, ask you about any changes since your last treatment, and devote a good half hour to giving you a thorough examination and treatment. And that attention to detail--and undivided attention toward you as his patient--remains true every session, even after he's thoroughly familiar with your situation and issues (which he records in his notebook and refers back to each time, ensuring that you're really making progress). Many chiropractors ask you to come back every week, endlessly making money off of you regardless of how your treatment is progressing (if it even is at all), but Dr. Jason seems to genuinely care more about your health than your money, and spaces your treatments apart based on the severity of your situation and based on your progress toward optimal health.
He has extensive medical training, and his knowledge of anatomy and the holistic interconnections between the skeletal system, musculature, and nervous system is impressive. Hearing him explain it to you in layman's terms, indicating exactly what's going on with your unique situation on the anatomical charts in his office, is a helpful component of his treatment regimen, enabling you to *understand* what ails you and why the exercises he gives you to work on at home, between office visits, are effective and worth doing. In addition to being a lifelong athlete, he is also an advanced spiritual practitioner and meditation expert, which undoubtedly informs both the quality of his attention and his holistic approach to his patients' treatment. Viewing the densely nerve-packed spinal column as the literal backbone of our integrated, embodied self--body, mind, and spirit--he is able to explain in simple terms how proper spinal alignment works to promote our whole self's natural tendency toward vibrancy, positivity, and self-rejuvenation, and how even small misalignments can impede that natural sense of freedom and ease.
I only wish I had moved to New York years ago. Being able to see Dr. Jason regularly this spring has been extremely helpful. My neck's range of motion and flexibility haven't felt this fluid and free in a long, long time, and best of all, I no longer periodically wake up with a stiff neck that leaves me feeling debilitated and awkward throughout the day. That's all in the past now, and that's why I'm giving him such a wholehearted endorsement, hoping it might help others to benefit from his skills and care as much as I have. read more
