My dad was places here for assisted living with dementia. The facility is a home environment with 9…read moreresidents at most. The cooked them home cooked healthy meals and often times you find the residents in the rec room together watching TV or eating family style. My dad is a handful but they have worked with hospice and gotten him comfortable and feeling like he is at his home. Any time I call the nurse answers and knows every wheee my dad is and hands him the phone. I live quite far away and can not get there often but I know he is well taken care of. He always tells me that the nurses are wonderful.

The fact that this place is even allowed to have a business license is beyond my comprehension. Aaspen Village Care does shady business with scam "hospice" facilities and force residents to be placed under hospice regardless of their condition. Even those with absolutely no official medical diagnosis or any kind of prognosis for impending end of life. They receive kickbacks from the company and this is how Aaspen rotates the residents of not staying too long. Have filed several complaints with San Bernardino county and am coordinating with a legal team to resolve the horrible experience I had with them. The people they have working for them (the term staff is not deserving of them) are not even certified or licensed professionals. They all look like dirty tweakers. This place needs to be shut down permanently. ZERO stars, but unfortunately have to put at least one

Could improve on some things in every department as they are still new. I no longer work here and am in no way connected to them or any staff there for some time, but I would use their services!! Clean, bug free, smells good, great location. Hope they keep improving.

I informed her, I was called in for a interview by a man named Philip she said "For a Job"? I let her know, yes that was correct. She turned shut the door and left me standing. I waited, which is fine only problem its 111 degree's outside. The young lady came back to the door not happy, checked the gate put in her code and said have a seat. She proceeded to go back inside leaving me outside. I'm completely confused what was going on. The young lady came back, handed me a clip board with another application. I let her know, I'm sorry I've already filled that out and you also have my resume. I'm here for a scheduled appointment with the man whom contacted me. She turned around, WALKED Off again. Stood inside the home speaking to someone and after a few minutes returned with the application again. I was told, We have a lot of people applying we don't know who you are fill this out. Also, Philip isn't able to see you I'll do the interview. I am so shocked at this point, I said no sorry this isn't expectable and got up and left. Confused at the situation that just happened. If a Business out here in our community prides it's self in caring for the public this was a major fail. If, I was treated so rudely. I can only imagine how the client's feel if the staff acts this way. I wouldn't let my family member stay in this facility after this experience. If a simple interview can't be completed correctly and in a timely manor that was set up, trusting someone's well being in the hands of this rude young lady isn't something I would agree too.

One nurse came into my son room and said we don't want these lights on and shut off call light never asked the problem. Patients yelling and moaning non stop day and night. My son said he never got any sleep in this torture chamber. He was left alone all day in a dark room, with curtains pulled. They avoided any communication with me and disappeared when I arrived every other day. They rejected my power of attorney and said he's ours now. He was a quadriplegic not able to speak above a whisper and on a ventilator. They lowered pressure on the ventilator in 4 days and took him off. Then put him on blow by oxygen which was not enough. His oxygen started to drop and they did't put him back on. They were pressuring him to sign a DNR because they said they didn't want to lose their licenses. The tube connecting to oxygen was always falling off which meant he couldn't breathe unless they came in and reconnected it. They found him unresponsive per 3 times, had to bag him once. Revived him once and nurse said he was fine.He was sent to hospital by ambulance on one occasion and returned to facility. He was left in room after return from hospital for over one hour and a half, while I looked for someone to come in. No monitors turned on he was all twisted up in blankets. Doctor said he was to go back on ventilator, but was not put back on. After a while a nurse came in and started yelling about a pressure sore that was bleeding. She wanted him to lay flat in bed, which he could'nt because of heart failure. She said you and your Mother have been warned about bleeding. Which was being caused by Eliquis a blood thinner they were giving him.She told my son don't talk over me I am your nurse and you will listen to me. He was dehydrated the whole time there as they would give very little water, dry mouth cracked lips. They told me he had oral care in the morning and that's all he needed. I said how about ice chips and they said no. I found out that they were giving him a medication called Trazadone. He had this once before and previous Dr. took him off it, from bad side effects, shortness of breath, hallucinations sucidial thoughts. I asked them to remove it and found out they were still giving it so I ask again. From his last blood test I found he was anemic. He was given many different medications he did not need, with serious side effects. I feel his death was caused by negligence. Think twice if you're considering putting a family member there.

In 2014, I wrote a scathing review of this poorly managed, ineptly run "resident-owned" mobile home…read morepark. I deleted that review as part of a deal with the park that they would promise that a new board of directors would make positive changes. Welp, it turns out that the condescending, harassing, statute-breaking attitude was a feature, not a bug. In the 3+ years since my deleted review, the board of directors did indeed change, but I am still treated with the same condescending, uninformed, bullying contempt that was a hallmark of the previous group of unprofessional Know-Nothings who managed the HOA. PROTIP: When you treat people contemptuously, don't clutch your pearls and make a break for your fainting couch when you get the same in return, snowflakes. Among the offences: * Piling up junk behind my unit (and only my unit) until I was forced to file a formal and yes, snippy complaint, * Destroying my entire resident file, including my original application, proof of payment of membership fees, credit check - THEN demanding I reapply, * Forcing me to pay for non-essential utilities, a violation of California Mobilehome Residency Law, * Failure to maintain workout equipment despite forcing new residents to file a waiver of liability similar to the one used for pool and sauna facilities (which *are* maintained) * Targeted for harassment (facilities manager). The snowflake hanging from my mailbox clip was especially charming, by the way, * Failure to maintain street, driveway, and utility area for my lot - all violations of Mobilehome Residency Law, * Shouting me down at every membership meeting so that I could not speak my piece peacefully within my allotted time, the stress of which forced me to stop attending these meetings in May 2015, * Installing security cameras at the front of the park then telling me I had to buy my own as the back of the park where I live isn't able to have cameras installed (because reasons?) *allowing a WMA lobbyist (serving as the park's bookkeeper) to distribute anti-tenant literature in support of a proposed state law that would have gutted tenant protection in this state - conflict of interest much? Now, I know most of these people grew up in a time when the disabled were shut away in rooms and institutions and never spoken of again, but this disabled person doesn't live in the '30s. It's 2018. Changes in the running of this park that were promised in 2014 did not happen. Attitudes that were supposed to have changed towards treatment of the disabled in this park - and towards me specifically - didn't. It is clear that this pattern of bullying will not stop, neither by asking nicely (over 3+ years) nor by demand (which only results in condescending responses and passive-aggressive pranks). In my time, I've been bullied by the best, and I learned that the only way to fight a bully is to stand up to them. This, sadly, is my only recourse, and one I do not take lightly. I have opportunities this year that are both far away from this lot and far more important and positive than getting into constant verbal slap-fights with my lessers; yet, here we are. In my opinion, this HOA had four years to correct their behavior; four years in which I attempted repeatedly to be part of the solution and not part of the problem. Sadly, they have chosen the path of least resistance and I must now warn any and all potential residents of this park to STAY AWAY. These people don't care for decency, nor apparently their legal obligations under California law. And, oh yes. I have the "receipts". *Update 23 Jan 2018* Regarding item "* Illegally posting mail to a US Mailbox for use by letter carriers only" So the park management involved the poor letter carrier in this nonsense. USPS letter carrier to me: "The manager of the park asked me to talk to you. He put the letter on your clip, but I saw the letter attached to the clip belonged to you so I put it in your mailbox." Soooooo...if the letter carrier "knew [the mail in question] belonged to you [meaning me]" in the first place, even without the space number, why didn't he just put it in my mailbox to begin with and avoid all this conflict? Alternatively, if the weekend manager had brought it over to my house on Sunday, as was promised by the administrative assistant on Tuesday 16th January, again, none of this conflict would be necessary. Or you know, *knowing* I would be present at home on Sunday, use that amazing technological marvel called "the doorbell" and hand it to me personally? AMAZING IDEA, I THINK I'LL PATENT THAT. My review of this horridly managed business stands. UPDATE: 15 Feb 2018 Today I made a donation to a cause I find worthy. No sooner than the pickup crew had the items loaded onto their truck that a "neighbour" from across the street comeover and start asking the pickup crew why they were at my place, what I told them, complete third degree. Insane! Actively spying on residents they "don't like". That's new!
