You have your temp taken and asked to sanitize your hands (or wash at the sink) before getting started. It's too soon to really report on overall changes to my skin's conditions, but my facial was thorough and relaxing, and my skin was positively glowing when I left. I don't say that lightly. I have 2c/3a hair and have never really trusted people with it after multiple failed attempts at a curly cut but she genuinely amazed me! She even taught me how to style it! So my hair looks good even if I do it! I think it's also important to add that I had super long hair past my butt when I went in, so I was very concerned that she would cut more than I wanted her to, but she absolutely did exactly what I asked for! My daughter wanted to perm her hair (first time!) so after countless google & yelp searching we…read moredecided to go with Urbanity because they called me back (even tho I didn't leave a msg to generic phone vm), and we scheduled an appointment. 10am appt - no one else was in the salon, and it was very nice and chic inside. My daughter was excited and I left her there (was quoted ~ 2 hours for the perm) since she knows what she wanted done to her hair. Pics attached of the perm to this post. It was done in under two hours and when I picked her up the front was curly but I felt the back was ... not done?! We were told to let it 'air dry' and the curls are forever until her hair grows out. Few hours later after it was completely dry we still felt the back was not curly. It had a curtain of waves on top but the bottom looked like her before perm straight hair. I texted the stylist who did the perm the situation. She replied: "She honestly probably just needs a trim, as perms can be a little damaging. If you want to bring her in on friday or Saturday i can do it for her. No charge of course". My daughter was hesitant the trim would be done terribly as well, and in the end she wanted a headful of curls so we didn't go for the trim. Friendly service but sadly disappointing skills and pricey - $150.

The place is so welcoming, comfortable and decorated beautifully. Now onto the important part, the make up :) The make up holds ALL day! I can't believe by the end of the night it looked just as fresh as when I left. She pays attention to detail, there is nothing out of place. She is truly an artist. I had more of daytime look for one event and evening for the other. Both of them were executed perfectly. She's also so personable, you feel like you are chatting and laughing with an old friend. I have had my make up done quite a number of times and have never found someone as talented as her. If I lived closer this would be my go to spot.

Everyone loved mine and my bridesmaids makeup and raved about it so much that my SIL booked her for her wedding as well.
