So Jarrell is kind of a small town so I was a little hesitant at first to come here. Let me tell you how wrong I was to think that! This place was amazing! Virginia (vicky) did my hair. She was so sweet and nice. She did an amazing job! I got a cut and color and I was blown away with how it turned it. All the women in the Salon seemed so nice too. The few other customers in there at the time seemed to be regulars, and all the women were catching up with the. And so friendly. It was so personal. I really wanted to like this place. A lot of people really love them in Jarrell. However I have tried going there twice now and have been unhappy with the outcome both times. The first time I went and died my virgin hair. I asked for something I thought would be simple, however I ended up leaving there looking not even close to what I had asked for. I have naturally medium, dark brown hair. I showed them a picture of some honey golden light brown highlights. They were very natural looking, and the thin strands complimented the natural hair color that was almost completely identical to mine. What I got was thick strands of bleached hair running down the front half of my head. They were very bright yellowish coppery toned strands of hair. I was very disappointed. Like I said it was my first time dieing my hair, so when I got home I looked into it some more, and it seems like the proper thing to do would have been to add some toner to the bleached strands in order to achieve the color I was looking for. Also for a more natural look I would think the strands she bleached should have been thinner. I honestly don't understand why the stylist wouldn't have added any toner and would let me leave their like that, knowing she only bleached my hair. The second time, a year later, I went for a simple haircut, and left their unhappy again. For starters, the stylist placed a walk-in customer into her chair less than ten minutes before our appointment. So I had to wait for over thirty minutes before being seen. Not a deal breaker for me because I didn't have anywhere else to be that day, but on another day, I would have had to leave without getting my hair cut. The haircut itself was not worth their prices. I've had stylists at great clips give my hair the attention it deserves, and as a result give me a much better cut. When you're going to a salon and paying salon prices there's a certain level of expertise you're expecting. I asked for face framing layers and for her to blend the edges in the back. I was in her chair maybe twenty minutes, including the time it took to dry. The stylist ran her scissors down the front one time for the face framing layers, didn't check her work, or touch it up at all. Bluntly cut the back, didn't spend anytime blending the edges. Honestly it was one of the most disappointing haircuts I've ever gotten. Don't plan on going back a third time. 2 stars for the fact that it looks clean, the owner seems friendly, and perhaps out of the many stylists that are there some of them are more skilled than the ones I encountered. read more

Think twice, thrice before going here. I asked for highlights with red pulled through the hair. Had a hard time at the beginning because she wanted to do the color, not highlights first. I asked the owner about it because it had never been done that way. I repeatedly said, I wanted the red pulled through the hair. Jackie had to do it her way. All she did was the roots which were about 2 inches with the red color. I signed a waiver if "my hair turned green' or something. I asked Jackie before the rinse if she pulled it through the hair. She said yes. Not true. Upon drying it was revealed that the top of my head is the beautiful red, my color Ion 5R from Sally's that I have used for at least 12 years, and yucky faded red to brown at the bottom (any stylist should know red fades horribly) She didn't pull it through. Lied and said I wanted roots done. Really? Change what I do after 10 years? NO! Some statements to ponder...the owner blamed it on the color cause I brought it in. Guess what? You can't blame it on color if you never put it on there in the first place. This is an error in application. Also, the owner said, "All I see on the bottom is brassy blond.". So, Jackie gave me brassy blonde highlights per the owner. I was very upset and crying. The red and brassy blonde, per owner, was horrible. Imagine this...she wanted her $165.00 and stood with her hand on her hip and phone with ticket on it. I said I'd pay her but not $165.00. Offered $40 but thought about all the work, then offered $100. They threatened to call 911 because I was upset/crying and couldn't believe they blamed it the color when the problem was it not being applied through the hair. You would have had to use the color on my hair in order to blame it on it. Jackie threw the $100 back in my backpack. I left. Someone said the only safe person to use there was Vicky. She was not working that day. Lesson Learned. But I will never go back. You should never go there either. read more

Went in to get partial highlights, and the person that was doing it did not know anything about hair color, I have been doing highlights for the past 15 years and I have never had highlights like this before. In the back of my hair were chunks of color and nothing blended in. I am now having to go to another salon to have them correct it, It was not worth $125, way over priced. I came by and saw Natalie today to get a color. I told her the color I used at the last salon I went to. She matched my color to cover my grey roots and it looks great. This salon is reasonably priced for such good work. It is a great addition to our small town. I love that I don't have to drive very far to keep up with my hair.
