I had been overcharged repeatedly without knowing it. What set Rey's Auto Service apart is that they did not stay silent. They picked up the phone and confronted the other mechanic directly. They stood up for me when I had no technical knowledge and no leverage. As a single mom with limited understanding of car mechanics, I trusted the wrong shop and paid for it dearly. Mario's is one of the few places open on Saturday and at 8am when I called, owner picked up right away. I explained my problem and he said they would take a look and what some potential outcomes would be. When I got there jose was working on another car. Mario helped with the communication since jose didn't speak English much and I don't speak Spanish well at all. They had a few chairs for me to sit and wait while the pouring rain slowed down. Once it did. Jose got the car on the lift and assessed the issue. He helped get some clips back in place and zip tied for extra security. Mind you at one point we were both in the pouring rain and yet jose was not in any rush and was making sure the bumper liner was good. Made the car a lot more comfortable for me to drive until I get it checked out by a body shop. They were very very generous with pricing and I was happy to tip jose a couple bucks.
