I called them at least 10 times during the day with no answer. I went there again and was made promises again and I took my vehicle and left. What a waste of my time. No respect for others. 2 days without my vehicle and my car was parked on the street the whole time and very vulnerable. Judging by the number of cars parked all over the place my story seems to be the norm. The place is dirty and unorganized. They seem to be understanding of people that want to do work on cars themselves and they do not try to upsell you. I remember having walked in with a flywheel and asked them to resurface it for me. The cost was $40. The standard around the country, and a good price. I also had a bolt that been broken inside one of the holes and they offered to take it out for $10. The headache of buying an extractor and drilling it out myself was not worth it. They told me it was going to be ready next week because the machinist was out, but I got a call about an hour later that the flywheel was ready to be picked up. I was really happy that I didn't have to wait. Oh yeah, no taxes or hidden fees. A flat $50. Another time I needed to have a spot on an oil pan welded. Because it was aluminum, I couldn't do it myself and so a special welder was needed. I should have asked how much it would be but I didn't. Turns out they went over and beyond what I needed. Cleaned the oil pan, welded it, sprayed some paint to protect it from rust, and it looked like brand new. But it was just an oil pan that I didn't need to be all fancy. I guess they needed to make money somehow because welding a tiny hole would have not made any money and they didn't want to completely rip me off either. So they charged me $80 which was a bit high for me but I am sure would have been a decent price for anyone that doesnt mind spending that much. In the end, I got my oil pan done the same day, I didn't have to buy a welder or pay for welder labor, and my oil pan has not leaked ~3 years later so in the grand scheme of things, it paid off. They are very old school cubans. No-nonsense. Remind me of my family. You will not get ghetto cuban marielito slang talk from them. Don't be worried about emailing them and not getting a reply because they are a mechanic shop with old mechanics. You will get a reply with an estimate the same day or the next. Just provide the appropriate information.

Mario's is one of the few places open on Saturday and at 8am when I called, owner picked up right away. I explained my problem and he said they would take a look and what some potential outcomes would be. When I got there jose was working on another car. Mario helped with the communication since jose didn't speak English much and I don't speak Spanish well at all. They had a few chairs for me to sit and wait while the pouring rain slowed down. Once it did. Jose got the car on the lift and assessed the issue. He helped get some clips back in place and zip tied for extra security. Mind you at one point we were both in the pouring rain and yet jose was not in any rush and was making sure the bumper liner was good. Made the car a lot more comfortable for me to drive until I get it checked out by a body shop. They were very very generous with pricing and I was happy to tip jose a couple bucks. Jorge helped me and said I was the first customer there so the wait shouldn't be too bad. They called me at about 8:15 and said I would need a new battery in addition to the oil change. I told them to go ahead and then called me at 9:10 to say my car was ready to be picked up. I would definitely recommend making an appointment and showing up early. But I found them to be timely and the prices to be pretty standard. The employees at the front desk also speak English very well. I would also recommend going to Versailles down the street for breakfast while you wait. Overall, a solid place to go for an oil change.

Finding a mechanic that you trust can be tricky, and I am so happy that Angel and his team have been amazing, friendly, and trustworthy folks not just to me but my entire family. We have been customers of Leader Service for over 15 years, and I have not visited another shop for my car since. It's worth mentioning, that for the majority of the time I've gone to Leader Service, I have had the same 2013 Nissan Rouge. It's wild to me that my car still runs perfectly fine - and it's because of the attention to detail and maintenance recs that the team here has shared with me. This week I went in for my regular oil change, and they discovered I also had a leak in my radiator and coolant tank. My friend recently had a similar issue with her car and my estimate was more affordable than hers. They are honest, helpful, and provide a great value for the level of attention and detail they give to each guest. In addition to being generally awesome, the Marathon Gas station that is also part of this building has been designated a Historic Landmark by the City of Miami since 1983. It has a classic Art Deco style and just shy of 100 years old. I think it's so cool that in the sea of new development in Miami the team here has remained committed to preserving the original architecture.
