I used this cleaning service after a high recommendation from a friend. I've always been hesitant to hire cleaners since I usually do everything myself, but with the holidays approaching and out-of-town visitors coming, I decided to give it a try. Initial communication was great--Jany was very responsive via text while setting up the appointment. On the morning of the scheduled cleaning, however, I was notified that the cleaners had car trouble and needed to reschedule. While inconvenient, it was understandable. They did arrive on the rescheduled day about 15 minutes late. The cleaners themselves were excellent--two thumbs up. Anna and Janeina (I believe those were their names) were professional, polite, and worked hard. With about six hours to clean an entire house, I feel they did their best. A few areas could have been more thorough, and I do wish a motorized cleaning brush/tool had been used for deeper cleaning in the bathrooms and kitchen, as I've heard other services do. Still, overall, the cleaning was solid. During a quick walkthrough after they left, I noticed one of my stove lights was broken/missing. I'm certain it was working prior to their visit, as I use it daily. I contacted Jany immediately, and she said the cleaners were unaware of it but had no problem covering the repair. I found the replacement part online ($37.50) and sent her the link. Since then, I've sent several follow-up messages regarding the replacement but have received no response. I can see my messages were read, yet Jany has gone completely silent, which is especially frustrating given that she initially acknowledged the issue. After finding her Yelp page, I realized I was not alone--other reviewers have mentioned similar issues with follow-through and communication when problems arise. Unfortunately, I wasn't aware of this before booking. I based my decision solely on a friend's recommendation and Jany's Instagram page, which is filled with glowing reviews only because it's controlled by Jany herself. Because this was my first time trusting a house cleaning service, this experience felt especially disappointing and left me feeling let down. The cleaners themselves were great but their manager Jany ruined this experience. I would be cautious using this company due to the lack of follow-through and communication if something goes wrong. Found Jany's cleaning services online and decided to give it a try. Having moved to the east bay with a dog and a cat the apartment got a little messy. Martha and Israel showed up early today, and left late, and went above and beyond anything I would have expected. Every crevice of my apartment is clean, especially the bathroom and kitchen standout, which were particularly disgusting before. They did an amazing job. 10 stars! The cracks look crappy, and on top of that her husband stole tools from my house, and saying that they thought they were disposable like first of all tools are not disposable and second why are you even taking Tools from my house without even asking? I reached out to Jany's Cleaning Service last night after stumbling across their instagram reels. I inquired about a deep cleaning and what the rate would be for my home. Jany responded immediately with a very fair hourly rate for 2 professions cleaners so I said "wonderful, how do I schedule this?" thinking I'd have to wait weeks. she said she could have them come Friday at 3pm or tomorrow at 1pm. I hired Jany's cleaning for ongoing cleaning of my loft. Jany sent out 1 of her workers to meet me and assess. The worker was professional and great, but her English was basic. This made it difficult for me to explain some special concerns and needs. This was evident when Jany sent the estimate, i.e. the information I gave at the initial meetimg was not passed onto her. I assumed Jany would be a part of the team on cleaning day, but I was sent a small crew who spoke little English so I did my best to explain, and lots of great cleaning was done, but my needs were not addressed: priorities, and being sure all was put away after cleaning. I hired Jany's through an add on craigslist. They were 20 minutes late. I left and came back to check, 4 hours later, they were still in the same spot I left them. After 10.5 hours of cleaning an empty townhouse, they still had not cleaned the walls, window shades, toilet, or tub. They also used my personal vacuum cleaner I had stashed out of sight on the patio. I spent $735 and still had to clean what they missed. I asked them to remedy the situation and they threatened me with pictures that they will use if I make a claim. They charge me $70 and hour. Let me start off by saying I am a very understanding person, I try to see the best in everyone..... BUT. This unprofessional, rude, non responsive, who doesn't go above or beyond are the worst company I have ever dealt with EVER!! She came with another lady and they didn't know I knew Spanish. They were talking about the rates they first provided , them at the end charged me 80$ more then originally quoted. They didn't come with cleaning products, they used my body wash to clean whatever it is they said they cleaned. They used my 25$ paint brushes and then threw away and then took my brand new bottle of cleaning product. She told me she would send me invoice/ copy of receipt which took 5 days later after asking at least 5-7 times. They didn't clean what I asked them, they did a horrible job to say the least! I wasn't able to be at the location, but she sent me pics and said studio cleaning was complete in a timely manner. What's important to me is that everything went as we discussed and I was extremely satisfied with her work, professionalism and communication. The stainless steel appliances were so clean and shiny, my wife and I said to each other that we have never seen so nice in three years.
