There are not enough negative numbers to properly review the service I received from Andrea Curran and Best Friends Professional Pet Sitting Services in Tucson, AZ. I hired her to do overnight pet sitting for me from Sunday, August 2, 2020, through Friday morning, August 7, 2020. She was supposed to arrive at 6:00 p.m. and leave at 9:00 a.m. each day per hours posted on her website for 15 hours of overnight care. I paid her $500 for 5 nights. Below is a detailed timeline of multiple instances of arriving late and leaving early as well as not doing what was asked of her while she was at my house. We had a meet and greet in which I gave her the history of my pets (2 dogs and 3 cats). When she came to pick up keys on Friday, July 31, 2020, I again reviewed Aria's crate needing to stay closed and also showed her a detailed list I had with instructions for trash, feeding, etc. Sunday, August 2, 2020: I called Andrea at 6:39 p.m. to check-in and got no answer. I called again at 7:40 p.m. and still got no answer. At this point, I felt something was wrong so I called my neighbor and asked her to look out and see if anyone was at my house. She confirmed there was no one there and the house was dark. She even walked over and rang the doorbell and got no answer. I called my friend who has an extra key to my house at 7:49 p.m. and asked her to go check on my dogs. I was very concerned as they had been crated since I left the house at 8:30 a.m. and my dogs are never crated that long. At 8:11 p.m., I received a call from Andrea telling me how "wonderful" my pets were, they were all "great," "happy" and "doing fine" and they were having a "lovely evening." I asked her how that could be possible since she had just arrived. She responded with silence. I told her that my neighbor had just been at the house to find no one there and my friend was on her way over and would be knocking on the door any minute. Andrea then stated she "was running a little late this evening." I told her 2 hours is more than a little late and reminded her that I was paying her for 6 p.m. - 9 a.m. She stated she knew that. At that point, my friend was knocking on the door so Andrea went to talk to her. Monday, August 3, 2020: According to my neighbor, she left at 9 but was not back by 6. Tuesday, August 4, 2020: I called for a report and Andrea let me know that "Aria ate her bed while I was in the shower." I was quite distressed as I knew it was Guinness who ate the bed and told her so. Wednesday, August 5, 2020: My neighbor texted at 8:30 a.m. to say Andrea was gone. She still wasn't there by 6:45 p.m. that night. I called Andrea at 6:45 p.m. and asked her where she was. She did not give me the time I paid for and she does not do what she says she will do. She didn't even take out my trash. What horrifies and distresses me the most is my dog quite literally, could have died and she would have been oblivious to any signs of distress. She didn't even know he was vomiting. In conclusion, I did not get the time I paid for and her lack of attention could have caused serious injury or death to my dog. I do not recommend this business

Do your homework, and ask this pet sitter for several references before hiring her. I hate to…read moreadmit that I did not. She came across as being very professional and poised. She claimed to know my Vet personally, and have several clients in my neighborhood. My Vet does not know her, and she recently asked me to "hand out" her business cards to other dog walkers in the community. Since her cards are posted on the community board, I basically told her my neighbors would need to decide for themselves if they wanted to inquire of her services. Several weeks ago, I started noticing a difference in my dog's behavior when I returned home. I began to suspect the dog was not getting enough attention from the pet sitter. Then two different neighbors who are both home during the day, mentioned they were concerned that they were not seeing much of my sitter anymore. Recently, there was a day that I suspect she did not show up at all. I left a note that required a response, which she did not write a response to. On her last visit to my home, it was revealed that she was in the home for a very short period of time, and did NOT take the dog outside go potty. She left a note as if she had done her services. When I called her that evening, she lied that she had taken the dog out. I had proof that she had not. The dog was inside without a potty break for 9 hours. This is cruel, and unacceptable behavior from a professional dog sitter. I terminated her services immediately. If you decide to use her services, insist that she sign an agreement for the services you expect. She does not use contracts, and I was foolish to not insist on one, or to inquire with others sitters that do.

She listens to everything he says to her through his body language, and she is able to intuitively understand his needs or preferences. This is the exact kind of person I want watching my animals while I am away, because I know that they understand and respect animal behavior. From the very beginning of the process, Ray was incredible to me and my animals. She was very thorough in getting to understand my animals needs before I ever even left. She asked a lot of questions that helped me feel very secure that she had my animals true best interests at heart. The entire time I was gone, I received consistent and detailed updates from Ray, and this was so amazing for me !! I've had pet sitters give updates, but Ray literally sends videos, pictures, and stories of things that happened, in addition to the basic updates. I really received so much joy being able to have a window into my doggies and kitties worlds while I was away, and knowing that they weren't upset or uncomfortable without me made it so much easier for me to relax and be present where I was. I would 10/10 recommend Ray's Petcare and will definitely ask her again the next time I leave.
