Do not recommend... I was contacted about someone interested in my car to find out later on it was a lie. I signed paperwork for a new car before I knew all of this. I then noticed the car was still on the market and not yet taken off. I asked about it to be told it must have been an accident and will be fixed... (it never got taken down.) I was told my new car would be ready Wednesday or Thursday (about a week after my first appointment) to find out when I contacted them the Friday as I had yet to hear from them that it was not ready yet but should be soon. I contacted them a week later to be told it was still not ready. I went to them that weekend and asked for my old car paperwork and to shred the new paperwork for the new car. When they went to look for my papers it took them over 15 minutes to locate where my papers were after having almost everyone in the building running around for them. I have also yet to receive my $32 for my license exchange. This was all back in the beginning of December 2020. So like I said don't suggest going. read more

Made an account solely for this review. Predatory, unhelpful, dishonest, shady, and careless. Purchased a Buick Enclave in 2022. The AC didn't work at purchase so they "fixed it". Three months later the entire AC was shot and would run me $2,500 to fix. On top of that, the check engine light came in shortly after purchase. Along with that the Stabilitrak turned off, the traction control stopped working, and the timing chain in the engine had to be replaced.. another $6,800. I figured their shop would take care of it - and they said they would. I wasn't aware that keeping it at the shop for 3 months and not moving it an inch from where I dropped it off was what they considered taking care of it. Their excuse? EVERYONE was on vacation. That is not how any business, especially vehicle repair, should function. Now, the car is showing - and I had no idea this was even possible - an "Engine Power Reduced Notification". 4000RPMS, 30km/hr. The engine stalled shortly after. This is an automatic car. Didn't even know that was possible. So, I figured I'd see if they could help me at all. Their sales manager said there was nothing that could be done on the piece of garbage they sold me. So now I have to pay off a lemon they sold me that I'm going to be scrapping in the coming days. They also have NO record of the sale of my vehicle?? I have the contract but they don't? Got it. That's not shady at all. Thanks Janex. You should be ashamed. If I could rate less than 1 Star I absolutely would. Waste of money, mental strength, and time. I regret buying a used 2012 Kia Sorento from Janex in August 2021. It seemed like a good deal at $10,000 with 128,000 km, but it turned out to be a lemon. After only 28 months of mostly highway driving, it now has 184,000 km and is unfit for the road. It needs thousands of dollars worth of repairs to pass safety inspection, and two mechanics advised me to scrap it. Here is a list of the $5,619 repairs I had to do. - $1,517 (Oct 5, 2021): Antenna, driver's seat trim and cover, all season tires - $700 (Oct 2021): Rust removal work - $305 (Dec 13, 2021): New battery - $247 (Jan 13, 2022): Repaired three rear sensors that had been glued in - $1,051 (May 10, 2022): General repairs to brakes, and replaced front pads due to corrosion - $500 (Feb 23, 2023): Oil leak from oil pressure sensor - $283 (May 16, 2023): Check engine light on, large evap leak in vent circuit - $1,026 (Oct 19, 2023): Replaced both front quick struts, rear right toe adjustor being seized To make the SUV certified safe to sell second-hand, it would require me to spend thousands more dollars in repairs to fix: Hole in frame on pass rear Right rear tail light bulb Right side headlight lens Free up front caliper sliders Replace park brake shoes, hold down kit and actuator lever Replace rear brake backing plates and rear right caliper Fix oil leaks from engine/transmission area Rear differential is leaking Front brake service as caliper sliders are seized Rear brake pads, rotors, right rear caliper Replace rear CV axle shaft seals as they are leaking Condenser fins are gone This experience has overall cost me a lot of money and stress. read more

My wife purchased a Mercedes Benz, and warranty coverage for the vehicle, last May 2022. Since the purchase multiple deficiencies were discovered. My wife's phone records detail that within 30 days of said purchase, she informed Janex of the malfunctions she detected and requested a car inspection. The Janex (dealership) representatives were apathetic, and appeared to "run the clock". Following a which my wife took subject vehicle to a Mercedes Benz dealership and paid for a vehicle inspection. All of her reported claims were validated and several unknown issues were raised by the Mercedes Benz mechanics, including faulty brakes. Soon after, my wife returned to Janex and expressed her disappointment and requested that the vehicle be repaired at their expense. The Janex mechanics held her vehicle for near one week. It remains unclear what was worked on. We were charged near $2000.00CAD for the repairs. Less than a month later, I took the vehicle to a mechanic who specializes in Mercedes Benz repairs, and asked him to remedy 80% of the issues highlighted in the Mercedes Benz inspection (including the car brakes). Over $5000.00CAD was spent on repairing said vehicle. There are still non-urgent issues that require attention. The anniversary date of the purchase will pass in mid-May 2023. Should Janex refuse or further delay repairing the vehicle - we will seek legal recourse. read more

Avoid at all cost. Fiancé bought her car from there. They made many promises that they conveniently forgot about once they received their cheque. Not to mention they forced her hand in buying after she wanted to back out after discovering how many fake reviews there are here. Don't believe me? Check Yelp. They also begged her to give a good review to which she laughed in their faces. Stay away from these criminals. Update 1: I was asked to send an email to Savcho at sales. No response. Save yourselves a headache, stay away. Update 2: still no response after a follow up email over a year later. This is hilarious. Save the trouble and shop literally anywhere except here. Update 3: must've gotten their attention as they finally responded. Typical denial and "salesman doesn't work here" excuses. Terrible excuse for a dealership. highly disappointed in my experience with Janex Auto. I went in to look at a vehicle. Loved it, test drove it and began the buying process. Made a deposit and to make a long story short it did not workout. I asked for my refund on the deposit and that is where my troubles began. August 24th I asked for my refund and was told it could be processed automatically without me needing to go into the dealership. August 26th and I have yet to see the refund, I am told they are checking with Accounting. August 27th I am told the refund was cancelled, and processed again and I should see it later that day or the following day. 28th of August, Still no refund. I told them I could come in Saturday, the 29th to get my refund. I was told no need, there was a problem "internally" and it should be fixed. Later on Saturday in the early afternoon I still have no refund. I was told if I didn't get anything by the end of the day they'd e transfer me. Monday 31st August and I still have nothing. I'm told the following day that the owner has been notified. I decide to go into the dealership Tuesday to get my refund in person, they take my card and the machine fails to work, they try again and I am told it worked and given a receipt. I waited a few minutes to see if the refund appeared but nothing, giving them the benefit of the doubt I leave as it could take a few hours to process. Tuesday, 1st of September at roughly 3:45pm I still have nothing and notify them. I am told to be patient and wait. At this point I am beyond frustrated and just want my money and nothing to do with this dealership again. Wednesday the 2nd of September I still have nothing and I am told the money was withdrawn from their account at 10:50 AM. I see nothing that entire day. No refund. It is now Thursday the 3rd of September and I am going in this afternoon with no refund still. Hopefully will see something today. I was happy during the buying experience, staff was friendly, honest and fair. It didn't workout and just trying to get my refund has been brutal. _________________________________________________________ Update : 6:18pm 2020-09-04 Upon informing Janex auto that I have obtained a signed statement from my bank saying there is no pending deposit or refund Mr Savcho (The Owner) called me and threatened me. He said that if I did not remove my review that he would have the dealership cease all lines of communication. He then threatened to file a Lawsuit against me for slander on a public review. Good luck making that stick in court buddy. I told them I'd be happy to remove it upon receiving my refund. I also shared the fact that I'd be happy to update this review and inform the public about how this business has decided to treat a young member of the Canadian Armed Forces. I have filed a dispute with my bank and am filing one with OMVIC. Either way I'll get my money back, I'd just like everyone to know that this Business is disgusting. Threatening people like that is terrible. I strongly urge anyone interested in purchasing a vehicle or any service from Janex Auto to not. Update: 2020-09-18 Well it's been two weeks since I updated this review and to no surprise I have yet to actually see the money. I obtained a signed bank statement that show's no refund, nor any pending refund. I've filed a dispute with OMVIC and they should be in contact with Janex very soon. Janex has failed to communicate with me in every email sent to them by me under the direction of OMVIC. I also received a letter from their Attorney's advising me to remove this review based on the fact that it amounts to Defamation and Slander. It does not, everything written here is factual. To our surprise Iqan was very prompt in answering our inquiry by responding by phone within minutes of us sending our online request. Fast forward a few days then after a successful test drive we met with the FnA manager Sam, who was very accommodating and was willing to make concessions to ensure we had our first vehicle of choice. Apart from a few delays with our new car delivery, our buying experience was effortless and unlike other dealerships with their 'Full court Press' Aggressive sales approach to dealing with customers. Beyond a nightmare with this establishment. Sneaky salesmen charging additional fees and tell you "you have to have it or the contract will be cancelled" - nearly $5k in additional fees. After the deal is closed, you have to chase them to ensure they fulfill their obligations and promises. I purchased 4 months ago and I am still chasing them for promises they made. I have now been threatened with legal action for advising them that I will report to BBB and OMVIC and post my reviews on social media. AVOID AT ALL COST They promise you the world, and imply that they go above the industry standard....far from the truth. After I put my initial deposit, we had set a delivery date to coincide with the sale of my vehicle. Come delivery day, the car was not prepared, and they blamed me for asking them to fix a dent. They knew about this dent the time I had given the deposit, yet there was no follow up on their part. Come delivery day, I had asked them for the inspection report (they claim 200 point inspection), and what was done to the car for safety. They did not have it, but had a total as to what was done. I asked them to send me a copy of the report, and nothing has been sent yet even after following up with an employee. When doing the walk around on the vehicle, the headlight was out. This should have been done in the "inspection and safety". I had to bring it to their garage to have it replaced. The dent they had "fixed" looks worse than before, with inconsistent paint. The "detail" of the vehicle was brutal, and left dirty rag marks all over the dash. Within a month the flange in the exhaust came off already. I tried to call them twice, they answered and hung up without even speaking. The car claims to have no accidents, but I'm having my doubts at this point. This is the worst service you can get in Ottawa. They're out to rob you of your time and money. UPDATE Car was serviced by a reliable professional mechanic. The car didn't have the oil changed, was low on coolant, and low on power steering. In addition to this, the car was involved in an accident, opposite as to what was advertised by Janex. I bought a vehicle here two weeks ago ,try paid for my rental car for 2 das at is wasn't ready the day it was supposed to be .I give their manager eads up for that . Had an issue they told me to take it to their garage and explain what was happening , mechanic noticed that outer drive axle was needed to be replaced ,do in other words try put me in an unsafe vehicle that was supposed to e safe . Strike one .Had appointment to change axle and something to do with the fuel injection as it wouldn't start after filling up the vehicle so he other part ty changed wasn't the problem .Today I left home engine light came on of which I discussed with serviman at the garage he figured it was a sensor ,ok I said let's get it fixed . I went to see the salesman that sold me tr vehicle and on 4 occasions he hasn't been in the office , how convenient .....I spoke to dealership manager and told him that the mechanic was cocky. I got offensive so he suggested calling the garage I haven't heard from either one of them in over an hour . Either they fix the vehicle or refund me in full is what I told the manager at the dealership .He doesn't think so but all I can do is report them to the better business bureau and take the vehicle for another inspection ad if there is any safety issues I file a complaint with the bbb and hopefully they will pull this garages licence read more

Incredibly awful customer service at this dealership. We came in looking for a vehicle and the one we wanted was in the process of being financed. We asked them to give us a call if the financing fell through. They called us today at 10am and when we came to look at it later this afternoon they had already sold it. When I voiced my concern about the awful customer service the sales rep said "well we don't hold cars". Unbelievable lack of respect. 2 days ago I've purchased a 2015 BMW X3 with 63,000km 2 days before everything shut down for Covid-19. I was pleased with the interest rate I received and I love the vehicle but thaaaats it!!!!! After having the car for 2-3 weeks I noticed the car had emissions coming from the exhaust pipe. I reached out to Janex to explain my problem. During this time I started going over the details of my warranty that I thought was part of the sale price of the car. As it turned out the warranty cost me $2000. I was never told I'd be paying for the warranty! I began to look over the bill of sale and noticed I had been charged 1699+tax on the price of the vehicle. When I brought this to the attention of Janex I was told they did not make a mistake. Good thing I had taken a screen shot of the sale price of the vehicle or so I thought. After I sent Janex a picture of the screen shot, I received an email telling me there was no date on the screen shot and they wouldn't reimburse the $1699+tax unless, and I quote " We have the information regarding vehicle pricing and would be glad to give it out if the proper governing body asks for it" or something along those lines. Scott Davis was my sales representative. While dealing with him he was unable to keep his composure and had returned a couple of emails using caps lock and even apologizing admitting he was upset. I find it very disrespectful and unprofessional considering I am the one who should be upset after being ripped off! I've also been threaten by Marcus Knight if I left a bad review regarding Janex or any of there employees it would not be tolerated and he would do everything is his power to make things right...?? Whatever that means! (Don't forget Marcus I'm not lying and have all the proof) ********UPDATE********* AFTER LEAVING THIS REVIEW I'VE BEEN THREATENED AGAIN THIS TIME BY THE OWNER. When I complained the owner yelled at me and tried to bully me.
