    BOISE, ID: Unfortunately I can't leave a positive note here; and it's rare that I need to draft a…read moreone star review. (TLDR: BOE overcharged hidden fees for three years, were rude to us, and publicly email-shamed my wife) Boise Office Equipment sold our business a flat-fee contract. The initial sale was very "car salesman-y, back-slappy" and moved fast, but they got the transaction done and we needed the machine we purchased. We complained and asked for a new rep after the first purchase, and they switched us to someone new for ongoing interactions. After two years, we moved out of state and they told us that they couldn't service us direct any more, but that we should call Xerox direct for service. We asked if there was a price difference and were told no. This worked fine for awhile: Xerox serviced us direct and BOE collected our money. Then one day we needed help with a remote software set up, and called BOE for this because Xerox has a hard time with remote service. Diane, the service person at BOE, was rude to us, saying they wouldn't help us because we had been serviced "behind their backs" by Xerox, and suggested we had paid Xerox under the table extra to do so (?). We replied that we would be foolish to pay two companies for one service, and that we were only following BOE instructions. She doubled down, saying "they didn't have record of our unauthorized move" (??). After being a client five years, we were so incredulous that we asked to cancel and speak to a manager; at which point she clumsily backpedaled and attempted a ham-handed apology before handing us off. We inquired about pricing and discovered that (1) they were charging more than we would have paid to Xerox direct and (2) they had raised our prices per click/print in each of the last three years; not such a flat fee after all. They needed our cancel notice in writing; so we emailed the manager to do so. Two lines: please cancel our account, we were disappointed in the service and pricing deception. The response? The manager replied to our cancel notice, to my wife, and copied two more people, to publicly shame her for being abrupt with Diane and state that they didn't tolerate customers who were curt with their service staff (?).     I've had nothing but good experiences with this company. They're highly responsive and…read moreprofessional. It's nice to know that if you have any kind of printer issue, BOE has your back. I would recommend BOE to anyone who wants to take their printing services to the next level.
