Our course was a five-day course from 9 am to 4 pm daily. Our class consisted of individuals from several different functions and each of us passed the class. A huge thanks to Erik for being such a great teacher - each of us left with an eagerness to begin using what we learned! I would highly recommend this course for people who are looking to learn both Lean and some Six Sigma principles.

Also, the wifi in this school sucks. There is no internet for anything on our chromebooks to load. Also, the admin BLOCKED the school camera? They refuse to let students use it. This school has no library or any quiet place and when its unbearably hot outside at recess, the teachers force us to stay outside which is insane. Also, never attend your school fundraisers because firstly, about 3 years ago, we needed new microscopes for science class-which is reasonable, so we raised a lot of money, about $10,000. But even until now, we never received them. Also, the money was supposedly spent on the teachers. That is ridiculous. During events like the spring formal or vday dance, the items there are stupidly overpriced and so is their after school champions. Just get your child an uber at this point. And then they take the fun out of childhood as they refuse to let us have fun in life. They call this school a "rigorous college prep" but it should be called "rigorous mental destruction." Students are berated for not understanding the material instead of being encouraged and listened to. The councilor is also not the best, as she just ruins students' self esteem (the opposite of what they should be doing) and doesn't respect student's privacy or understands a joke. The rules are overly strict like not being able to talk during lunch. LUNCH. The only time we get to socialize with our friends and make long-lasting relationships. No school is perfect, and no teacher or student is perfect. I enrolled my child at CASLV Eastgate…read morebecause I wanted him surrounded by kids whose parents share the same educational values and principles. Becoming a student here takes patience and effort, so I believe the families who go through that extra process truly value their child's education. Before choosing CASLV, I applied to a public school and was given their curriculum for the year. I found it too restrictive and basic. I wanted my child to be challenged, and so far, Eastgate has consistently provided that. My child's first language isn't English, yet he has received extra support and has been thriving. Of course, there are areas that could improve, such as communication between teachers and parents, but I see those as fixable issues. What matters most is the type of peers our children grow up with, the teachers guiding them, and a curriculum that challenges them to think and grow. Personally, I would rather see my child earn average grades because he is being challenged than straight A's from lessons that are too easy. Overall, I am satisfied with this school and I don't have any relevant negative feedback to share.

I've had a mixed experience with this school, and unfortunately many of my concerns have not…read moreimproved over time. One of the biggest ongoing issues is the car line and pickup/drop-off process. It feels very disorganized and often inaccurate. There have been multiple times when staff clearly see the pickup slip with my child's number, yet my son is still not brought out in a timely manner. At the same time, parents are not allowed to get out of the car or retrieve their children themselves, which makes the delays even more frustrating. On top of that, interactions during car line often feel rushed and, at times, rude. Parking is another major problem. The campus is very small and located right next to car dealerships, leaving little to no overflow parking. Street parking is extremely limited, and the Porsche dealership nearby does not allow parents to park there. This becomes especially stressful during school events. Parents are not allowed to come inside to drop off or pick up children during these events, yet the performances are only about 10 minutes long. With the already limited parking, it hardly feels worth the stress, especially when parents aren't even given time or space to take pictures with their children afterward. Overall, there is very little parent involvement encouraged. Parents are often isolated from activities like events or things such as the bubble run, which makes it feel like families are kept at arm's length rather than welcomed into the school community. I've also never met the principal, which feels unusual for such a small campus. Academically, the experience has been inconsistent. There is a large amount of homework assigned, but grading does not always feel accurate or timely. Communication around expectations could definitely be improved. Given the size of the campus, the lack of parking, and the limited parent engagement, I genuinely feel the school has outgrown this location and should consider a larger campus. At this point, I'm unsure if I will be re-enrolling my son next year.

We were struggling with my 7-year old daughter, who was exhibiting severe social and behavioral problems and getting suspended from 1st grade on a consistent basis. Susan explained the science behind Brain Balance and touted her 30 years of experience in Child Development. In that consultation, she insured that our daughter would be working with professionals that had experience similar to hers. She also insured that her staff would be working directly with my daughter's teacher and the school's administration to develop a customized plan for her needs so that all of us could collectively be on the same page. Being that we were in an extremely vulnerable state, I felt like this might be a way to help our daughter. Boy, was I wrong. The services at Brain Balance were absolutely nothing as they were described. The lessons that she attended at the center were a complete joke. The instructors are extremely young, clearly have no experience in child development. I don't see the point of touting your 30-years of child development experience if you have no intention of ever actually working with the kids yourself, but I found that this is a strategic part of her sales pitch. The most critical reason for me working with Brain Balance was the work they said they were going to do with the school and her teacher. Danielle was the person in Susan's office that was supposed to be working with my Daughter's school. I was told that they would be reaching out to her school right away to begin setting up meetings. Two weeks later, my daughter had been suspended 2 more times. I called Danielle and begged her to please make this a priority. So, she called and coordinated a time to meet with my daughter's teacher. On the day of the meeting, Danielle did a "no-call/ no-show" on my daughter's teacher. And she still hadn't made any effort to reach out to the Principal, who she also assured me she would meet. When I asked Susan what was going on, she said that Danielle forgot about the appointment because she was busy. So, instead of actually making it all happen, all Susan did was call her teacher and have a pointless 20-minute conversation asking her questions that we had already covered in our initial consultation. It's about this time that I'm beginning to feel like I have been completely ripped off of my money. TOTAL COST OF THE 18-MONTH PROGRAM: $10,900 FEE FOR INITIAL CONSULTATION: $295 (In addition to the $10,900) PAYMENT TERMS: The entire program was to be paid, in full, within 6 months. As part of the 6-month payment option, they required $3,270 as a down payment, then she would charge 6 equal installments for the remaining balance. SHE'S TRYING TO KEEP THE ENTIRE 6-MONTHS OF TUITION WHEN WE WERE ONLY THERE A MONTH AND A HALF: I cancelled after my daughter had attended 15 sessions because this was a colossal waste of time and money and I have been fighting a dispute to get my money back for over 6 months. (CAUTION: There's a reason they require so much up front!!!) To provide a comparison for you, I have since moved my child over to a licensed psychiatrist who charges us $150 per month. There wasn't a down payment at all or any additional fees that could prevent us from seeking alternative methods for my child, should we find that she isn't the best fit for her, like we experienced at Brain Balance. The results have been astounding in a very short amount of time with the licensed professional. Trust me when I tell you, I know how vulnerable you are right now and how awful it is to be going through this with your child. This place will prey on those vulnerabilities. For your family...seek other alternatives. I wouldn't want anyone to experience what we have.

My daughter was very smart prior to moving here and this school didn't slow her down. She has continued to excel in reading, math, science and Physical education. She has taken after school activities such as piano, yoga and even fun activity clubs and loved every one of them. I was able to see my child from a public trail and was quickly spotted by the PE coach as she confronted me and confirmed with my daughter that she knew me. I was really happy that the teachers have that level of care for the kids to ensure I wasn't a creep. The PTO does amazing things with a lot of dedicated parents participating. My experience with the teachers thus far has been amazing. You get a chance to meet more of them at community events and fundraiser dinners the PTO creates. The traffic came back up for drop off. The principal and other teachers out in the parking lot trying to keep parents moving any methodical pace. There is a flow to the process to ensure all kids get dropped off quickly and in a safe manner. The crossing guards are always there and always have a children's safety as the number one priority from what I've seen. I'm also amazed how the people letting the children into the school in the morning seem to know nearly every single one of them. My child's experience has been great. We dedicate a lot of time at home with our children to help them learn that at school. It seems the teachers do the same which makes the school work very well for us and our level of involvement with the children. The ram run is an opportunity for the kids to run laps in the morning before school starts and a great opportunity to motivate them to stay more active. My daughter really liked this and over the course of the ram run duration from October to May, she ran over 60 mi with a couple laps each day. This is not required and starts about 15 minutes before the bell rings. SafeKey is offered before and after school. I have only used a before school option. I know this is a CCSD provided function and not a school function but I asked the SafeKey teachers how they manage a number of teachers versus students and they told me they provide the appropriate number of teachers for whatever children are signed up for the SafeKey that day. One afternoon, I watched children throwing rocks into the backyards of houses so long the trail. I didn't expect there to be enough SafeKey teachers to be able to watch every kid at all times since they are all playing in the large playground. I told the kids to stop and they did. I then went over to the school to talk to the SafeKey teachers and they address it immediately. I never saw any children throw rocks again. Overall I think the teachers of the school are very attentive from my experience. I think the pickup and drop off goes as efficiently as it can go since the school doesn't actually have a large parking lot for everybody to park. It seems like the PTO and staff are dedicated to provide the best environment they can provide. I am very happy that I chose to live in an area that is zoned for this highly rated school.
