So glad we did. You walk up to the building and order from the window. There are a few scattered picnic tables where you can sit and enjoy your meal al fresco. (Remember the mosquito spray.) They have port-a-potties available across the parking lot. You can pet a sled dog. The London Fog was tasty. My friend had soup and I had the roast beef sandwich. Everything was fresh and so good. I loved the fried chips. Definitely a place that I will keep on my list for the next time I am in Alaska and making the drive between Anchorage and Denali.

Fireweed are those magenta blooms along the drive to and from Denali during the mid-summer months but unlike rose or lavender, fireweed tastes more like berries than floral. They have a variety of other flavors for those less adventurous but if you want something you wouldn't get anywhere else, go for that fireweed.

My friend and I split a pizza, we got their pickle pizza, with half of it no pickle bc my friend doesn't like pickles but still wanted to try it. It was interesting. I'm usually a red sauce girl and just like sticking with the common ingredients like pepperoni and sausage type. I enjoyed it but I must say the chicken taste on the pizza was strong.
