New to Astoria on the sidewalk at Newtown Ave & 30th Ave Selections of Jerk Chicken, Pork Shoulder, Ox Tails and Stew Chicken. Incredible food and fast, friendly service. Much recommended. Spices That Clear My Sinuses

Jamrock Jerk in Jamaica, Queens is a takeout-only gem with seriously delicious food. I ordered the oxtail, which came with plantains, rice and beans and a side salad. Everything was flavorful, tender, and well-seasoned. I paired it with their watermelon lemonade, which was super refreshing and hit the spot. Even better than the food was the amazing service. The staff was incredibly friendly, walked me through the menu, and answered all my questions with patience and enthusiasm. My order was ready very quickly, which made the whole experience even smoother. The ambiance was very relaxing and casual. While they have a storefront, there's no dine-in option, and parking can be tough in the area. But the food cart is easy to spot on the sidewalk and you really can't miss it when driving by. If you're in the neighborhood and craving authentic Caribbean flavors, this place is absolutely worth the stop.

If you're craving bold, flavorful Caribbean food in NYC, Jamrock Jerk is the spot. The jerk chicken is smoky, tender, and perfectly seasoned...it has just the right amount of heat and depth of flavor. And don't even get me started on the mac n cheese; it's creamy, cheesy, and baked to perfection with. Easily one of the best I've had from a food truck! That said, be prepared to wait. This place usually has a long line, and it can take a bit to get your food, especially during peak hours. But honestly? It's worth it. Good food takes time, and Jamrock delivers every single time. If you spot the truck and have a little patience, don't pass it up. You'll be dreaming about that mac n cheese long after your plate's clean.

KETO FRIENDLY I ordered the jerk chicken no sauce with salad no dressing and plantains and it was excellent! You actually get 3 sides so skipped the rice and peas but they did look good! For the $18 this by far better than a double chicken Chipotle bowl with much less food at Chipolte! These guys have trucks all over the boroughs but the line moves fast near the radio city location and there are tables next to it to eat outdoors ! I'll definitely always consider this food truck ! I'll try the jerk pork next time

Oxtail Stew 10/10

Pros: I ordered the Oxtail Stew twice (Grubhub) from Midtown Manhattan x Jamrock Jerk and it's delicious! The oxtail pieces are HUGE (I've eaten a lot of oxtail, and these are the biggest pieces I've ever had), covered with flavorful oxtail gravy, and served with rice & peas, fried plantains & fresh salad. Highly recommend. Cons: - Wish there were more plaintains

Jamrock Jerk is the best food truck I have ever experienced in my lifetime. Not only is the food unbelievable! The service is all the way 5 star! Speaking from someone that has spent extensive time in Jamaica before it became Americanized many years ago. The food on this food truck is prepared just like it is prepared in Jamaica. I really could not tell the difference. Only thing missing was the coco bread, and rum punch....but if you're watching your figure, who cares about bread.... (Shrugs shoulders) Definitely check out this amazing food truck. They are in different locations throughout Manhattan. You will truly enjoy the freshly prepared, authentic Jamaican food.

I just stopped by the Starbucks in fresh Meadows on 188th St. and coming out of the store, I smell this amazing scent. it's a food truck that has oxtails. I have been in such a mood for that. They were just setting up and I asked if I could order something. They told me to just give them a few minutes. I did. Next thing I know they're telling me I'm gonna get a free meal cause I was the first customer at their new location.. So cool!. I wasn't even hungry, but I had to stop and purchase something because it smelled so good. I'm happy to tell you that it taste as good as it smells.

My work was able to have Jamrock Jerk outside for the staff for a couple of hours on Friday to celebrate teachers. Although I didn't pay for this meal, I wanted to review and definitely will be looking for this truck next time. I got the jerk chicken platter with plantains and rice & beans. Soooooo well seasoned and def filling portions. I would love to try oxtails next time. Their flavored lemonades were also refreshing and had a variety of fruit choices.

My friend took me to check out Jamrock Jerk NY, and I'm seriously glad he did. The food was incredible. I ordered the pork and chicken with rice, and it came with sweet slices of plantain on the side. The jerk flavor was bold, smoky, and packed with just the right amount of heat exactly what you'd want from proper Jamaican barbecue. The meal was a little over $25 but the portion was more than worth it. It was way more food than I expected, and every bite was better than the last. You can taste the quality and care that goes into the cooking, and the flavor was on point from start to finish. I also got the lemonade, and that ended up being another highlight. It was refreshing to compliment the meal perfectly. Between the generous portions, the amazing taste, and the overall vibe, this place is definitely a win.

Saw this truck parked near Hudson Yards and glad I tried it! I ordered a combo of both the Jerked Chicken & Jerked Pork because I couldn't decide what I wanted and it smelled amazing. Both were sooo good. The chicken was juicy and moist. The pork was flavorful. They both had a kick to it and it also comes with a jerk sauce (which was not spicy). My platter also included rice & peas, fried plantains, and a salad. The sides were all delicious! The combo platter I got was filling and I ended up sharing it with my husband and it filled us both up for lunch. I can't wait to come back again to try their oxtail and mac n cheese.

I love Jamrock Jerk! Every time I order, I'm not at all disappointed. The jerk chicken is so good and the Mac n cheese is even better.

My favorite jerk chicken food truck. Every time I'm in Union Square and stumble upon Jamrock Jerk, I'm going to get food every time. I usually wait until I get home to warm it up and eat it because I hate eating on the go or while outside. Plus, I need to eat it with out any interruptions or distractions while I savor every bite ... check their website for locations. That jerk sauce is finger licking good... Ig:@Thefunfluencer

I thought it was kismet when I saw an Instagram ad for Jamrock Jerk, stepped outside hours later and saw their truck preparing fresh jerk chicken and pork at Cooper Square. I am currently going through a jerk chicken hyperfixation phase so I have eaten my fair share of the dish. The line was about 8 people deep and I waited probably for 15 minutes until it was my turn, so the turnover rate was quite speedy. I ordered the jerk chicken platter ($16) which comes with rice and peas, plantains, and a scoop of salad. I liked that the platter came with salad as I am always craving greens with my jerk chicken. However, this chicken did not come chopped (my personal preference) and it was bone dry. It was difficult to eat overall because the chicken lost a lot of flavor and moisture, and the jerk sauce tasted like sweet, watery barbecue sauce. Overall, a massive disappointment given the amount of positive reviews. I am hoping my experience was a fluke but I don't think I would want to return anytime soon.

Out of all the times I passed by I never had a chance to actually stop and try it out. It's actually in a conscientious location, right near the park and across the street from a huge parking lot. On one special day, I was browsing Uber eats and they popped up as an option. Clearly nothing else mattered on there except for trying the corn guys. I placed my order for an arepa, corn on the cob with all the toppings, and a hot dog. The food was delivered nice and hot. The corn I noticed was not your regular Mexican Street Corn, they used Parmesan cheese instead of the cheese that is regularly used. I took one bite and it did not matter...all I can think to myself was OMG why didn't I stop to get this sooner?!?! So fresh, so sweet, so delicious. It's easily the best corn on the cob I have ever had. If I could give more than 5 stars for this corn I would. The arepa and hotdog was also delicious! I have been hooked ever since and get them regularly now. If you see this place, do yourself a favor and get some corn.

The prices were VERY reasonable, so I ordered a chicken kabob, with barbecue sauce, corn on the cob with parmesan cheese and butter, and an arepa filled with mozzarella cheese, only $10 for all that food. The food was pretty good, better then I expected and I am very full. It was definitely worth the money, and a great lunch. They take cash and credit cards! I'd definitely grab something to eat here again in the future.
