Big attitude from manager, no compensation for time, delivery or taking a day off since they aren't open on weekends. Replacement showed up strapped down to keep another customer order safe from the rain on open truck bed. Mine is warped. It's hard to warp hard maple. I ask for refund. Big drama from manager because I wouldn't let him try a 3rd time. Sorry, I have a job. It's not to wait for Houston Hardwoods to do theirs. The 2nd table was beautiful. A real shame it was wrecked in delivery. For over $600 I can just get a walnut table online and without the drama.

To be perfectly honest, I don't know if the $20 I paid for 25 splits is a good price or not...I generally don't buy wood...it's pretty abundant in the places I normally need firewood. It did turn out to be almost a trunk full of wood, and it definitely did the trick. Judging by how it burned, it wasn't kiln dried, but it was good stuff all the same. Nicole was perfectly nice, and helped me load up my car. If I could offer any advice: 1. Call ahead. They aren't here all the time. 2. Put something down in your car so you don't make a gigantic mess of the trunk like I did.

There was a line, which was expected, I waited about 30 minutes. The gentleman who guided me while I backed in my husband's truck was patient and kind. The wood was great quality. The smell was pleasant and the pieces burned a long time. Because of the wood we bought there, we were able to get through the worst part of the blackout. My only regret was not buying more. One recommendation I would give the business is to figure out a drive through design. Backing in was tough with all the cars in the parking lot. Even with the logistics trouble, I would still give it 5 stars.

I was in the process of renovating my kitchen and needed to see what was out there to fully flesh out my ideas while staying within budget. Colours by Earth Stone is a Houston based company with locations all around the country. There is a showroom and a warehouse here, where it seems a lot of material loading is done locally. I've been here a handful of times and have come out of it inspired and refreshed each time. The employees are fairly good about answering questions and I never felt pressured to purchase anything while perusing their endless selection of tiles. The latter might have newcomers feeling a little overwhelmed with the process, but I appreciate the variety in colors and patterns. I also really love the real world setups for the bathroom and kitchen. Estimates will vary, but do a little comparison shopping to ensure the best price. I feel the prices are competitive but might be a little more than some other places. At the end of the day, quality matters a lot, and they certainly have no shortage of that. Be sure to take home sample tiles for comparison and have a list of questions ready for the staff.
