I've had strep before and received much less efficient and helpful care at other places, so it was refreshing. This urgent care has a spacious and clean lobby, and they were blasting the A/C on this 95° day, so that was nice. Check-in was simple and while they did accept my Blue Cross Blue Shield insurance, I still had to pay $100 out-of-pocket, but that's just my stupid insurance for you. All of the typical measurements and tests were quick, and the strep swab was the least unpleasant I've ever dealt with. The provider came in with the results five minutes later and was so friendly; she showed real concern for how bad my case was. 20+ years ago I heard neighbors talking outside my home about this amazing doctor, someone they…read moretruly trusted. When I asked the name of this doctor...they said Dr Franklin Lowe. I made an appointment that week and have never looked back. Dr Lowe is a compassionate, caring, person...not just an MD. When I first went to him the wait time was horrible, but since he is now concierge there is generally almost no wait time. His staff takes you back and does a pre-screen so that the time with Dr Lowe is on point. A word about his staff....they are excellent. They treat you like family and know you as an individual, not just a name on a file. Both my husband and I see Dr Lowe, love and respect him..... he is family to us. And has seen us through many crisis - some quiet serious with excellent results. His referrals to other doctors are impeccable..... the very best. To sum it up ......I'm having PT for a hip replacements and when I mentioned the name of my surgeon and Dr Lowe (my GP), the therapist said...."you've got the best", this is also what I'm told when ever I mention Dr Lowe's name in the local medical community.
