In photographs I typically have either RBF or a double chin because I'm usually laughing. I also cringe at the standard posed wedding photography and knew right off the bat that it would be a mission to find a wedding photographer that would be up for the challenge. So if you're like me, you may dread the thought of choosing a wedding photographer. It was by chance that I came across CMP's photographs while browsing on Pinterest. They immediately caught my eye; they were editorial, intimate and full of personality. Bottom line - stunning. Fortunately CMP had one photographer available for our date -- Danny. We lucked out because he is not only extremely talented in his craft, but also a total gem of a person. The photographs from our engagement shoot (WHICH COMES WITH YOUR PACKAGE AND IS AN AMAZING BENEFIT OF CMP'S SERVICES) made it immediately clear that Danny has a superb eye and was able to capture our personality as a couple. I've been non-stop spamming friends and family with our wedding photographs since we've received them; and which Danny delivered in record time. I'm in complete awe of how Danny was able to capture the vibe of our wedding in such a natural way. It goes without saying that wedding photographs aren't just for the couple, but also for the friends and family. So I want to share some verbatim messages I received from our attendees (who include people who work in the fashion industry, my highly critical family and people who have gone to at least 8 weddings last year) which really underscore Danny's stellar photography skills: "HOLY $H!T YOUR WEDDING PHOTOS!! Once we had the date and plan secured, Jenna called me to go over details for the day of the shoot. She was especially focused on how the time of day and the light would play, especially in the hot summer sun. She also asked for the names of all involved (12 people!) and we also went over the list of each group of shots she would take. We settled on photos of mom with her kids and spouses, mom with just her kids, the siblings each alone with mom, each couple alone, each couple with mom, and she even randomly threw in (unplanned!) photos of mom and each of the spouses on the swing that hangs from a tree in the back of our property! So fun! Finally she took photos of mom with her birthday cake with all of us around her and a few of her alone with her cake. She never looked to rush off and made sure we had all that we wanted before she packed up. We had chosen to do the photos around 6pm and Jenna was absolutely correct about the light that time of day...,the images she took could not be any better! We received our photo gallery of the photos taken in a timely fashion and they are all so fantastic! She succeeded in making everyone super at ease and took great care and attention to detail while ensuring that everyone got photos taken that they would enjoy forever! We happened upon Ben in the Fearless photography site, and he is super friendly, energetic, reasonably priced, and has a whole team, so we didn't have to worry about 'what-ifs'. Ben is the only photographer who offered a complimentary engagement session. Day-of, Ben and his second shooter Anthony worked incredibly well with our videographer (James Liu, whom he works with often and is exceptional) and never felt invasive. Our stunning photos (even better than we could imagine!) were revealed over a live 2 hour session - that felt a little unnecessary (I would have preferred the comfort of selecting my complimentary album on my own time with the pressure of deciding live or upgrades), but the printed album will be kept for a lifetime. My only other flag was that Ben didn't post sneak peeks of our wedding on social media, so while he mailed us a dozen polaroids, we had to wait until 2 months to see digital photos. Regardless, I would absolutely recommend Ben - we are obsessed with our photos!
