My friend and I came to Julie Saad's studio for girls' day out/glamour portraits. Prior to the…read moresession, we were both able to Skype with Julie and show her some clothes we were considering for the photos. We got to talk about out concepts and what feeling we wanted for the images. Julie helped me to choose pieces that would photograph well from what was already in my closet. Before, during, and after the session, Julie was fast and responsive any time I needed to reach her by email or phone. When we arrived for our session, we had a wonderful hair and makeup session with Amy Klewitz! She was fantastic!! Both Amy and Julie were so warm and friendly, there was no time to feel nervous - I felt completely at ease! We also laughed a lot, making for a super fun day! Julie's studio is small but bathed in sunlight! Julie has a variety of fabrics and backdrops to complement any look or feel (light and airy, dark and dramatic, fun and playful, etc.). We were able to take pictures in a variety of outfits with different backgrounds in just a few hours. We got to take pictures individually, as well as together. Our pictures were ready for us really soon after. Julie set up an appointment where we could view the images -- not on a computer screen, but beautifully matted and ready to display! It was a magical experience getting to see them this way. The pictures came out amazingly, and this made it very hard to choose the final ones! However, Julie didn't rush us and allowed us to really take our time. When the final decision was made, we received our pictures in the mats and in beautiful keepsake archival boxes. They were wrapped and presented wonderfully, and included flash drives of the digital images. I have given some of the pictures away as gifts and I've gotten so many complements on them! I am so happy I got to have this experience with my friend and that Julie made this such a great day for us both! We will never forget it and we have the wonderful photos to forever enjoy! WEIRD SIDE NOTE: After I shared some of Julie's photos of me on social media, Julie noticed some fraudulent Twitter accounts using the images and she alerted me right away. I truly appreciate her looking out for her clients and ensuring the pictures weren't being misused.

I don't even know where to begin but I will start by saying that Adélaïde is beyond talented and…read moreamazing! We worked with her for our engagement and wedding and her work has continuously blown us away. Adélaïde was one of the first people I texted the morning after our wedding after seeing just a few of the sneak peek photos she had shared. I wanted to share my text to her for reference, which said, "Adélaïde!!!!! I don't know how to properly thank you for capturing us, our favorite people, and our day so perfectly! We are beyond lucky to have found someone as immensely talented to work with us, but more importantly, someone who went the extra mile to get to know us as people and make sure our photos reflect exactly who we are. My sister just texted me about how in awe she was of your photos and said, 'Adélaïde was the find of the century' and I couldn't agree more. We love you so much and are forever grateful for you!" This was after just seeing a handful of photos and we somehow felt even MORE in love and grateful after seeing all of our photos (which for the record, Adélaïde turned around for us in absolute RECORD TIME)! What is most special about Adélaïde is the genuine love she has for helping others in celebrating special moments in their life. It is so clear how invested she is in her work and how committed she is to her clients. I was moved to tears in the car with Adélaïde and my sister before even meeting my husband for our first look and that was in large part due to how sweet Adélaïde was to me and how genuinely excited she was for these special moments for us. It was also amazing to watch Adélaïde in action! She was incredibly well-planned and knew the locations we were shooting in well, but she also came up with amazing shot ideas on the spot as she was inspired by things that were around us. It was really fun to watch her work. Plus she makes you feel so comfortable in her presence that you settle into having endless photos of your captured so easily and can therefore let your personalities shine. When our final photos came in (which for the record, was SO fast-- she had our photos back to us 1 month after our wedding!), we were blown away by ALL that she captured! Beyond shots of us and our families that so beautifully captured the essence of us and our feelings on that day, she got so many other amazing shots. She captured the venue and all the details of the day amazingly well and got the best candid shots of all of our guests. I have had so much fun sharing these photos with our friends and family and they have been thrilled to get such special pictures of themselves from our wedding day. As you can see, I could go on and on and ON about Adélaïde and just how amazing of a person and professional she is. If you have the chance to work with Adélaïde you have to take it! She makes the entire experience a dream and you will have the dreamiest photos of your memories to last a lifetime. Adélaïde, we will love and adore you forever and wish you all the success in the world! You are a true star and an absolute gem of a human being!

She is a dear friend and one whose talent and loving gaze I respect greatly. I generally loathe being photographed but after meeting her through mutual friends and having her do some headshots for me several years ago, I knew there was no one else I would rather have around on this special occasion... she's one of the few people I am comfortable being photographed by, probably because she is magic. She is super knowledgeable about weddings and I was more than happy to listen to her advice about the day of schedule, first look, portraits, etc. Carey helped us make good decisions! Yay! Carey came to our wedding (6/9/18) both as friend and photographer. There is something SO cool about seeing a friend in her element. She is a professional in every sense: wrangling family, staying calm and collected throughout the whole day, finding just the right tree to take portraits under, helping us move along whenever we got off schedule or got distracted. She captured intimate moments without being intrusive. She was somehow everywhere all at once, with cameras strapped all over her like a badass. My husband and I are so grateful that the memories made that day and the love that was all around us have been preserved by her for years to come. To us, that is priceless. Thank you Carey, we love you!!!

I set up my shoot with Carey (who is quite swift in responding) via email and she was willing to work with me to find what worked for me and my needs. For the purpose of my shoot, I was looking for new yoga photos for my website and social media. We settled on a package that worked for me, a date and a time. She suggested places where we could take our photos and gave me pointers so I can do my own research in finding a place to take my photos too. On the day of the shoot, she was warm and inviting. She allowed me to warm up while she warmed up with her shots. I felt comfortable in front of her and her camera (let's face it, it's tough sometimes!). With "...and fake laugh" prompts, they turned out to be real laughs! Finally, the photos. They are stunning. Her lighting and the angles in which she took her photos really made the photos pop and gave me exactly what I wanted for my website, social media and business. TL;DR - Professional yet comfortable and superb quality shots; 1000% worth it. I highly recommend Carey!
