When I needed to get a gift for my girlfriend, the owner made a special trip to New York to find exactly what I needed. I was shocked to hear that anybody customer was so disappointed, but I guess maybe the voicemail she deleted without listening might have changed her mind. The gem of a place was mainly a garden center with plants and flowers both inside and out. However, scattered amongst the branches and blossoms inside were a coffeeshop with homemade baked goods, cafe tables and lounge-like couches, a bar making drinks with freshly-grown herbs, and a shop with upscale home decor, kitchenware, and gourmet food products. Outside resembled an elegant rose garden with plenty of seating, as well as rotating food trucks and musicians. After we explored the grounds, we grabbed drinks from the bar (a herbaceous, citrusy mocktail for me and a cherry margarita for my companion) and sat outside among the flowers. It was a great experience at one of the coolest venues I had ever seen!

Everything you see as you explore is for sale and we love that they show off everything in a useful way amongst the property. The garden center sells plants, flowers, gardening tools, planters, baskets, structures, and so much more to make the garden of your dreams (check out the teepee!!). There is also a cafe serving up coffee, tea, pastries, with more options coming soon. We are letting the secret out, there is a hidden bar with a seasonal menu open on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays. And, if that wasn't enough, there are food trucks. We were welcomed when we entered the store but weren't offered any assistance until we were leaving the store. Even told the sales clerk that it was our first time there. We were your prime audience, your target market and we didn't feel like it mattered we were there. Ask how old our child is, know what sorts of things kids that age need! Pay attention to your customers! The sales clerks were very interested in talking to each other about their Christmas store design for the 20 mins we were shopping. Hope it's as cute as you say it is - we won't be coming back anytime soon.

I went to one before The Papery, and thought that maybe I should have budgeted much higher for invitations. But at my appointment with Lara, I cancelled my other appointments at the other places and bought my invitations on the spot. Not only did they have great prices, but Lara was so knowledgeable on wording, etiquette, and elegance. She knew exactly what I wanted. I got so many compliments on my beautiful invitations! They even printed the addresses for me at a low additional cost. Thinking I would be done with The Papery, I kept going back for everything else! They did my welcome cards, ceremony programs, place cards, etc. Most of these were provided by my venue, but I wanted that extra special touch that Lara put into my invitations.
