This was my third pregnancy, and like my second, I wanted to do a maternity shoot and newborn shoot by a professional photographer near me ( I live in Willow Grove, PA). However, this time I wanted something different. I wanted a maternity shoot that made me look and feel not only beautiful, but sexy. I did the shoot where I looked earthly and dainty, and I wanted this one to be unique. Candy certainly rose to the occasion. She's not only gorgeous, on the inside and out, but her calm demeanor and gentle smile made me feel comfortable and excited. Upon arrival, in which I was a couple of minutes late and Candy completely understood, my makeup artist (setup through Candy's services) was already there and ready. I got my makeup done, laid out a couple of my own props and outfits, and then Candy with her plethora of clothing, helped me pick out a couple of more items to wear. I took my pictures in a beautiful light-filled room and posed in lingerie, a white gown, a ball-gown like skirt, and even nude! It was the best photo shoot I've ever done; my wedding included! My baby girl was born in August, and we came to Candy for the newborn shoot. Again, she was warm and very skilled; I was amazed with her techniques in wrapping the baby, rocking her, and creating an environment completely baby friendly. I especially appreciated the notes she gave me prior to photo day to help make the shoot go more smoothly. This woman truly is the baby whisperer. Her prices are very reasonable, and when you see the images she captures, it's very easy to want them all! I booked the maternity and newborn sessions with SugaShoc Photography after reading reviews about SugaShoc and Candy (the owner and photographer). I just had the maternity session early this month, and was certain that I had made the right decision to go with SugaShoc Photography. Candy has been really responsive to my e-mails and questions since the beginning. The maternity shoot was done both inside her studio and at the Peace Valley Park. I enjoyed the sessions with Candy as she made me feel at ease, and was giving me good instructions so that my photos would turn out great and natural-looking. When I showed up for the in-studio session, Candy had available an assortment of gowns and wraps from which I could choose a few from. She also offered to bring any gowns and/or wraps to the outdoor session. Candy is very good at what she does and you can tell that she is passionate about her work. I have to add that Candy was heavily pregnant at the time of the shoot, but she still gave it her all, making sure the photos turn out well. The turnaround time was very quick. I received a "sneak peek" in less than a week, and all of the digital files within a week. I am looking forward to the newborn session after my baby arrives! I still can't get over how beautiful our photos turned out! We did a maternity session and our newborn session and so glad we picked Candy to capture these memories. She is a true professional and one of the most gifted photographers I've come across (and trust me- I searched high and low for a photographer that could take maternity and newborn pictures that are worthy of hanging on the wall). From the moment our sessions started to the end where you get to see all of the gorgeous photographs, my husband and I felt so comfortable and knew we were in good hands. Candy was so accommodating and flexible with timing, especially with our newborn shoot since our nugget came two weeks early, and she was always prepared and ready for a scene and wardrobe change (which, by the way, she has a great selection to choose from!) she knows exactly how to pose you and baby to get the best photographs and has the magic baby touch when your little one gets a little fussy. We are so happy we decided to get our maternity photos from SugaShoc. The pictures are beautiful. Candy was great to work with! She responded quickly to all of the questions that I had and worked with our schedule to accommodate a wardrobe consult, the photo session and the photo selection meeting. We had to have a few photo shoot reschedules due to uncooperative weather in the Spring (we were doing an outdoor shoot) and it was easy to coordinate with her. I also used the hair/makeup service that Candy works with and was very pleased with that. My hair and makeup looked very natural but more glamorous than I could have ever done myself. It also made coordinating photos and hair/makeup a breeze to use that service since Candy and the artist coordinated with each other frequently on dates and times. My husband and I just finished our maternity shoot today. We opted to get the maternity/newborn package with hair and makeup. I cannot rave enough about Candy. She was warm and welcoming. We had never done a photo shoot before and I certainly didn't expect it to be as fun as it was. We laughed the whole time! Candy was great about giving me all the info I needed beforehand through email. She set up my hair and makeup (which came out WONDERFUL) and I was able to go there a few days early and pick outfits. Her studio is impressive and she allowed us to use 5 different outfits. We had plenty to pick from. She promised a couple pictures early and I received them the SAME day. I highly recommend using SugaShoc for all of your photography needs. You will not be disappointed. I cannot say enough good things about Candy. I found her website after a frantic search last year when a photographer I had booked backed out last minute for my daughter's new born photo session. Candy was able to get me an appointment within the small window to do the photo's. She also was very helpful in working with us to incorporate my western saddle in her photos. My Mom and I were so impressed with Candy that we booked her Grow with me package to get pictures of my daughter throughout her first year (6, 9, 12 month photos). Candy and Nicole were amazing to work with! Scheduling my appointment was seamless, they both reached out before the shoot so I was prepared. Candy suggested what outfits and props to bring to bring for my branding shoot and Nicole helped with inspo for my hair and makeup. I have to say first and foremost, my experience with SugaShoc Photography has been amazing. Candy and her team are so talented and professional. I just completed a boudoir photo session and I am blown away by the end product. I think Candy's portfolio is beautiful and sexy at the same time. I spent a long time researching photographers and reviewing portfolios. I came across many newborn photographers but Candy's portfolio honestly stood out above the rest when it came to quality/artistry. From our first discussion she was very thorough and easy to work with. When it came to the day of the photoshoot, Candy did an amazing job. Candy is very easy to work with and does a tremendous job photographing. She did both maternity and newborn photos for us. I told her what I was looking for in our newborn session and she did an over the top job putting together the scene. She created a image that I would have never expected.
