I booked the maternity and newborn sessions with SugaShoc Photography after reading reviews about SugaShoc and Candy (the owner and photographer). I just had the maternity session early this month, and was certain that I had made the right decision to go with SugaShoc Photography. Candy has been really responsive to my e-mails and questions since the beginning. The maternity shoot was done both inside her studio and at the Peace Valley Park. I enjoyed the sessions with Candy as she made me feel at ease, and was giving me good instructions so that my photos would turn out great and natural-looking. When I showed up for the in-studio session, Candy had available an assortment of gowns and wraps from which I could choose a few from. She also offered to bring any gowns and/or wraps to the outdoor session. Candy is very good at what she does and you can tell that she is passionate about her work. I have to add that Candy was heavily pregnant at the time of the shoot, but she still gave it her all, making sure the photos turn out well. The turnaround time was very quick. I received a "sneak peek" in less than a week, and all of the digital files within a week. I am looking forward to the newborn session after my baby arrives! I whole-heartedly and without hesitation recommend SugaShoc Photography! read more

I still can't get over how beautiful our photos turned out! We did a maternity session and our newborn session and so glad we picked Candy to capture these memories. She is a true professional and one of the most gifted photographers I've come across (and trust me- I searched high and low for a photographer that could take maternity and newborn pictures that are worthy of hanging on the wall). From the moment our sessions started to the end where you get to see all of the gorgeous photographs, my husband and I felt so comfortable and knew we were in good hands. Candy was so accommodating and flexible with timing, especially with our newborn shoot since our nugget came two weeks early, and she was always prepared and ready for a scene and wardrobe change (which, by the way, she has a great selection to choose from!) she knows exactly how to pose you and baby to get the best photographs and has the magic baby touch when your little one gets a little fussy. Her patience is admirable and so appreciated - especially for new parents 9 days in! We love, love, love our photos and the experience we had capturing them and can't recommend SugaShoc enough! read more

My husband and I just finished our maternity shoot today. We opted to get the maternity/newborn package with hair and makeup. I cannot rave enough about Candy. She was warm and welcoming. We had never done a photo shoot before and I certainly didn't expect it to be as fun as it was. We laughed the whole time! Candy was great about giving me all the info I needed beforehand through email. She set up my hair and makeup (which came out WONDERFUL) and I was able to go there a few days early and pick outfits. Her studio is impressive and she allowed us to use 5 different outfits. We had plenty to pick from. She promised a couple pictures early and I received them the SAME day. I highly recommend using SugaShoc for all of your photography needs. You will not be disappointed. We can't wait until our little girl arrives so that she can wow us again with our newborn shoot! read more

We are so happy we decided to get our maternity photos from SugaShoc. The pictures are beautiful. Candy was great to work with! She responded quickly to all of the questions that I had and worked with our schedule to accommodate a wardrobe consult, the photo session and the photo selection meeting. We had to have a few photo shoot reschedules due to uncooperative weather in the Spring (we were doing an outdoor shoot) and it was easy to coordinate with her. I also used the hair/makeup service that Candy works with and was very pleased with that. My hair and makeup looked very natural but more glamorous than I could have ever done myself. It also made coordinating photos and hair/makeup a breeze to use that service since Candy and the artist coordinated with each other frequently on dates and times. We will definitely be using Candy again for photos of our daughter! read more

I cannot say enough good things about Candy. I found her website after a frantic search last year when a photographer I had booked backed out last minute for my daughter's new born photo session. Candy was able to get me an appointment within the small window to do the photo's. She also was very helpful in working with us to incorporate my western saddle in her photos. My Mom and I were so impressed with Candy that we booked her Grow with me package to get pictures of my daughter throughout her first year (6, 9, 12 month photos). My husband and I have already booked our next session with Candy. We are expecting a little boy in July 2016!!!!. We will be using Candy for many years to come to capture our family memories. read more

Candy and Nicole were amazing to work with! Scheduling my appointment was seamless, they both reached out before the shoot so I was prepared. Candy suggested what outfits and props to bring to bring for my branding shoot and Nicole helped with inspo for my hair and makeup. They work so well together, Candy has the eye behind the lense and Nicole helped position me throughout. The space is incredible with many different backdrops, I love how Candy even brought me outside for some candid pics! The pictures turned out AMAZING and I cannot wait to start building my brand with all the photos!!! Highly reccomend if you are looking for a one stop shop - hair, makeup, photos, good vibes and great people! read more

What can I say?! I am speechless with how beautiful my photos turned out!!! Scharle did my hair and make up and was out of this world made me feel so so pretty and then Candy did the photo shoot and knew exactly how to pose me for my body type and would tweak things here and there to make it absolutely perfect. They were an awesome team together! I really stepped out of my comfort zone doing it but once I got my photos back I couldn't help but smile ear to ear and fall in love with my body. My husband is obsessed with the photos and I can't wait to officially give it to him for our 10 years together! Thank you so much for making me smile. Loved working with you! read more

I spent a long time researching photographers and reviewing portfolios. I came across many newborn photographers but Candy's portfolio honestly stood out above the rest when it came to quality/artistry. From our first discussion she was very thorough and easy to work with. When it came to the day of the photoshoot, Candy did an amazing job. She really has it down to a science when it comes to the prop and costume changes, styling everything with an artistic eye. She is so patient and knew what she needed to do in order to capture the best pictures for us. I am beyond happy we asked her to photograph our daughter! We cannot wait to return for her next photoshoot! read more

Upon recommendations from multiple colleagues and friends, we hired Candy and SugaShoc Photography for our newborn's first photos. From the moment we walked into the studio's doors, we felt a comforting, warm welcome. Our sweet little boy was treated as if he were Candy's own; she had such a special way of calming him, and ensuring our photos turned out exactly as we imagined. Candy was patient with us as I fed our son when he was hungry, and as we made last minute decisions about props and colors. SugaShoc offered us an array of beautiful, truly one-of-a-kind products. Candy is very easy to work with and does a tremendous job photographing. She did both maternity and newborn photos for us. I told her what I was looking for in our newborn session and she did an over the top job putting together the scene. She created a image that I would have never expected. She is patient with the babies and knows exactly how to calm them. She also offers a package "grow with me" that captures your little at 3, 6, 9 and 12 months. We definitely plan to return for more images! read more
