My husband and I left the wedding for a couple a minutes to step away from all the hustle and bustle, and he was able to sniff us out! It was honestly a blessing because he capture some amazing couple shots of us in the nighttime with a beautiful background. Joe and Vickie were extremely prompt and sent us some "sneak peek" photos within 24 hours! They were amazing and cannot wait for the photos and video! From the very beginning, Vickie and Joe were extremely professional and personable to work with. Joe traveled to Philadelphia for our engagement photoshoot. My husband and I wanted some fun couple photos in the city we love (where we met). Joe made us feel very comfortable and captured beautiful, candid moments. He's truly an artist! After seeing the results of that day, my husband and I were so excited to work with Joe and his wife Vickie on our wedding day. We got married on June 23, 2019 in New Jersey. With this being the first wedding in both of our families, we greatly appreciated Vickie's suggestions throughout the planning process and incorporated them into creating the perfect wedding day schedule! We had a multicultural wedding, and Vickie and Joe did an AMAZING job capturing all the meaningful details. A few of our favorite moments included: reading love letters we wrote to each other, our first look before the ceremony, and sneaking away before cake cutting for a nighttime photo session. As we look back at our photos and highlight video, we are simply in awe of their work! Vickie and Joe are so thoughtful in their approach and perfectly captured all the emotions and subtle expressions of the day! You'll save a few bucks, but you'll greatly sacrifice quality. I used to do this by going to Picture People and JCP, but no longer. I would rather have my precious moments beautifully captured, because you can never recreate these moments. In fact, I now regret going to JCP and Picture People in the past, because the quality was not as good, and I can never redo newborn shots with my eldest kid. Like others, we used to go to Picture People. In a way it was good that they closed because it allowed us to find At Home Studios. Ken and Stephanie are absolutely wonderful. A few differences between Ken and your typical portrait studio: 1. At regular studios like JCP or Sears, random people are trained on how to use a camera. It's not their full time profession; it just provides a paycheck. Whereas with At Home Studios, Ken's passion is photography and that is all he has done for most of his life. The passion is evident in the fact that his pictures are far superior to anything you could get in a department store. 2. They treat you like family. At Picture People we had to wait 30-60 minutes, even with a scheduled appointment. And we had to wait another 30-60 minutes just to get our pictures on CD. Not to mention them rushing you through the photo shoot so they could take more customers. It was a dreadful experience, whereas we were welcomed into Ken and Stephanie's home like we were family, and didn't have to wait in a queue. 3. Ken is absolutely wonderful with kids, and very patient. He was patient with us as our newborn needed to feed and also change an outfit. Our toddler wasn't interested in looking at the camera, but Ken took care of that with his humor. Our toddler was still talking about him for days after we left. 4. At the typical portrait studio, they only give you about 8-10 shots, whereas Ken gives you much more (all of the good ones). I was always surprised that Picture People used to take so many pictures during the sessions, but only gave us limited number on CD. 5. If you are going to frame your pics, ask Ken to do it. He will touch it up and it will look much better than doing it yourself at CVS or Walgreens. Ken has more expertise on touching up pics than a traditional studio would. And request the frames that day, or you'll never get around to it. Ken and Stephanie aren't pushy and not after every penny like Picture People used to be; you'll have to ask if you want specific prints. Picture People never used to let you leave until you listened to their sales pitch, which was quite annoying when you've already been waiting around in the store for 2 hours. 6. By the end of the session, I felt as if we were with family. In a world where encountering rude people has unfortunately become normal, it was refreshing to meet some really nice people. 7. US Military dignity: Ken and Stephanie have a military family. Their children serve and have been stationed in various places. Being away from your family and pledging your life for your country requires honor and dignity. It is not just an individual sacrifice, but that of the entire military family. This is highly relevant, because such a high level of dignity means that you won't feel cheated. They will do their best to provide you with what you came for, and won't take shortcuts. Ken and Stephanie's art will be with us for the rest of our lives. It's so much more beautiful than anything else we have gotten from the department stores. We're so happy to have found them.

We just received our photos from our wedding on 3/21 and all we could say is WOW. My wife and I…read morewere just in awe of how amazing the photos looked, especially the portraits which looked like a work of art. We were assigned Reena and Roderick as our main photographer and videographer, and Ben and Tuck as the secondary photographer and videographer. They gave such clear direction to ensure the photos came out the way we wanted. All 4 of them were respectful, professional and very accommodating. We had an extensive list of photo combinations we wanted with the bridal party, our parents, wedding sponsors, and extended family and the Dean Michaels team managed to capture every single moment. I'd ask Reena last minute if we could take pictures at different locations and she would be so accommodating and the photos came out perfect. We are so glad we went with Dean Michaels. It's always tough picking through hundreds of wedding photo companies but my wife and I really liked the style of Dean Michaels which provided a good mix of dramatic and traditional photos without being too over the top. She doesn't use filters, the photos have such great lighting and color and her eye for editing is really pure. I used Avnida Photography for my son's first birthday photoshoot and cake smash. You will have to beg for your photos and realize you're communicating with someone who is intentionally ghosting you. I'm reaching 2 months now with no photos and quite frankly tired of chasing her down. Since the photoshoot, I never received any communication from Harshita about any timeline. I'm reading the contract agreement and there's no promised time frame either for clients to receive their photos. At this point I'm wondering if I'm ever going to receive anything????? These are precious newborn photos that can't be redone. If you read all the recent reviews, this seems to be her business model - ghosting her clients. Please read all the recent yelp and google reviews to educate yourself. She's terrible at communicating through email. I had to send 2 emails each time to get a response of what date the shoot was going to be, what time, and what the address was...which should have sent alarm bells but I gave her the benefit of the doubt. She has a talent with newborns and is a personable person but absolutely cannot be trusted to do business with. She was recommended to us through family who used her years ago. From all the positive reviews that are several years old...it tells me she may have been operating very well back then but something clearly changed between then and now. I understand she is a one woman show running this business- which I have full respect for and was trying not to be pushy. But to not communicate anything for 2 months is completely unacceptable. When I texted her asking why I wasn't receiving a response through email, she said "there's some issue with her email." Don't you love excuses? I'm now not receiving any responses through text either. I'm appalled and very upset this is happening. She is charging $799 for the "My Love Newborn" collection and all packages requires a $225 deposit you can kiss goodbye. This is by no means a cheap service and the very least I expect as a client is good communication and deliverables. Please save yourself the heart ache and not conduct business with Avnida Photography. I will update my review when I finally receive my photos.
