I placed an online order for Flavacol to pickup at the store…read more I received a phone call letting me know they didn't actually have any in store and would order it for me. then i would receive a call when it arrived so i could come pick it up. i got another call from another employee letting me know the same thing a different day lol. very nice they were on it! and when my order was ready for pickup i was notified immediately by phone and email. when i walked in i didn't have to say much someone was already walking to grab my bag. obviously this is a hardware store but they do sell a variety of ends!

You can buy nails and screws buy the pound! There's a working bottle coke machine from the 1950's. And you are surrounded by high-end tools and other hardware needs. They also carry gardening products and chemicals. The store has somehow managed to maintain the original Victorian shelving, floors, interior and exterior brick facade. We talked with one of the owners that has owned the store for about five years. She has decorated the store with antique and vintage hardware items. She told us that people bring her stuff to display in the store. In terms of products, there were a lot of Dewalt tools, Case knifes, Milwaukee tools and Porter Cable. I found a wall of canning supplies and kitchen ware that would be used on a farm. This store plays a vital roll to the nearby community. I recommend and I'll return.

Contracted installers wittingly had a remedy. This created extra pad and the need to order more lament flooring. The salesperson went to bat for me for a concession for the error. However the owner certainly did not put the customer first. Coming from a family who owned businesses locally, I strive to stay local. However, customer service from our family's perspective always comes first. This is clearly not the goal for Stevenson's. I would not recommend doing business with a business that doesn't stand behind their employees or put customers first.

Other stores are making an effort to make the shopping experience safe for everyone, and it does not seem like Home Depot is doing enough. We did also have difficulty getting to a few of the items we needed. The boards we were trying to sort through were very warped and actually frozen together, which made it a little difficult and more time-consuming to get what we needed. Employees were helpful and willing to retrieve the next set of boards for us. The staff is always very kind and we can generally find everything we need here. My only real issue is not adhering to COVID precautions -- hopefully they can make a change and create a safe place to shop!

Today I was costing fertilizer and the price was just slightly higher than Home Depot. Good enough for me. There isn't a ton of staff there but the place is never too busy either.

They are not Lowes or Menards. Their prices are sometimes high, but they don't sell cheap gear. I wished they'd sell lumber and plants, but maybe it's better that they don't. They get five stars for being the best HARDWARE store in the area. You don't have to buy a huge blister pack to get just one or two of an item. Their clerks know what they have, and it's a good idea to ask them. They sometimes have better alternatives in mind, and their selection is vast for the size store they operate; they can save you a lot of time, unlike the big box stores, where there are no real specialists except the Big Item sales people.
