I had my consultation and heard the price breakdown, then visited other companies to make sure I was getting the best services. I came back to Wang Vision, and I'm still very happy with my choice. Everyone is very knowledgeable about the procedures and helped me feel secure in my decision. There was a student/trainee that attended my consultation with Karen, and I was glad to hear that they take so many students for training at this location. (The student did a great job, too!) Cameron made sure that I felt supported and explained my available options in a very accessible way. Dr. Jones and his assistant performed the surgery in a separate room, and the procedure itself was very fast (like 20 minutes under the laser). Admittedly I sat under the machine for a bit longer because they had to wait for my eyes to numb, so the entire consultation session (redone during day of surgery) and actual surgery took about 3 hours. Then, you go back the next day for a follow up to make sure everything looks ok. I have overall felt supported and informed in my decision to go with Wang Vision Institute. LASIK surgery is a big decision, and I'm very happy with my decision. Plus, they have a really cool lobby.

Dr. Zimmerman proposed two ways my surgery can be done, one gets both eyes to 20/20, the other one that could help me read without relying as much on reading glasses (I need reading glasses at my age). We used correction glasses and tried both scenarios, he was very detailed in explaining and informing me both solutions and what they entail in the future. I was able to make an informed decision. And finally, it was doctor Guduru who performed the surgery. It was a great success, and without any pain or adverse feelings. I was sent home with a post surgery care package and instructions on recovery. This is a very professional practice with the highest standards in vision care, I would recommend to everyone who needs Lasik or other vision procedures.

Long review but reviews here and on my healthcare website were so helpful to me when looking for a…read moredoctor I want to be as detailed as possible. For years, my eye doctor told me I was not a likely candidate for lasik. After an eye infection, I was subject to wearing glasses daily, with vision so poor I could not function unless wearing my glasses/prescription sunglasses. Enjoying time by the pool, outdoor activities, a day at the lake...better make sure you have a back up pair of glasses! Ever try snowmobiling in -14' weather with glasses behind your mask? Years of extended wear contacts and the subsequent GPC infection left me with extreme dry eye, which I had become accustomed to living with after MULTIPLE visits to my eye doctor and specialists with no relief. A poolside conversation with friends (with me in fogged up glasses) led me to look deeper into lasik, regardless of what I had been told. She recommended Dr. Horn and raved about her experience; so, he was added to the short list. He was also the #1 rated lasik doctor on my healthcare providers website, based on patient reviews. After narrowing the list to Dr. Loden and Dr. Horn (Wang was never on my list due to the LARGE number of people I have known personally who've had issues with their eyes after visiting Dr. Wang), consultations ensued and Dr. Horn was the clear choice. Dr. Horn would not operate on me unless we could successfully treat my dry eye. He could have easily done lasik, taken my money, and told me to continue living with dry eye but refused to start me behind the line knowing how common dry eye is post lasik. He cared about my results. After about a month of his recommended regime, I was ready for lasik. I was nervous; but, Dr. Horn and his staff were extremely patient and spent all the time I needed answering every single question and concern I had. I had the procedure September 7, 2017. Best $2,500 I have ever spent! Day of surgery was exciting and scary but the process is really as swift and painless as they claim. That evening I had light sensitivity and was scratchy if my eyes were open but not super uncomfortable. I awoke the next morning with brand new eyes! Went to my follow up that morning and drove myself home. The worst part of the experience was putting drops in every 15-20 minutes the first post-op day. I needed drops on hand at all times for the first few weeks to keep the dry eye at bay...moved to morning/night only after 2-3 weeks and now only need them when extremely tired or when my allergies are acting up. Had another follow up visit this week...still in love with my 20/15 vision and have not yet had to move to readers for my up close vision, although that will come at some point. I believe having readers stashed everywhere will be less restricting on my life than being unable to go about my day without being in glasses. Since my procedure, I have referred MULTIPLE friends to Dr. Horn and all have been extremely satisfied with their visits and procedures, getting the same over the top customer service and respect I did. Thank you, Dr. Horn, for my VISION FOR LIFE!!!

Horn, M.D. 4230 Harding Pike g6, Nashville, TN 37205 Lasik surgeon Paul B 291 points I rarely write a review but after this experience I had to share my story with cataract surgery. First let me compliment all of the staff. They were great. But beware of anyone who tells you they are the "Best" in Nashville and maybe in the state as this doctor said multiple times during my many appointments. This doctor over promised and under delivered!!! First appointment I asked the doctor if I was a good candidate for the lens he reccomended. His answer was absolutely. I have had two surgeries on my left eye. After the first, my vision was blurry even after almost 7 weeks. The doctor said he needed to rotate the lens. I had light flashes after the first surgery. The second surgery all but eliminated the flashes. But my vision was still blurry. At my last appointment the doctor only wanted to talk about doing the cataract surgery on my other eye using a different lens. He said you need both eyes done to see well. I told the doctor that I was not comfortable with having surgery on my right eye before getting my left eye corrected. At that point the doctor said he was not used to someone suggesting how he should do his job. I then went to my optometrist, they suggested seeing another surgeon. I have and he did not recommend doing the surgery on my right eye until we get the left (first eye) corrected with a different lens. I have spent $4800 with Vision for Life and this has taken over 3 months and now I need another surgery on my left eye. I asked the surgery coordinator with Vision for Life to ask the doctor to work out a financial compromise maybe a 50 % reduction in the cost since my surgeries did not resolve my problem. He refused and asked to see me again and try to correct my vision. Maybe the doctor with Vision for Life could have corrected this problem, however after two surgeries and the doctor's attitude and arrogance I did not have the confidence to have surgery by that doctor again.

Dr.Klippenstein is highly recommended to anyone who has complications with eyelid ptosis (droopy or heavy eyelids). Had my surgery yesterday and from the time I walked in to being wheeled out to go home, nothing could have been better. Andrea was my RN who stayed with me from pre-op until I was heading home. She was friendly, interacted well, answered all questions fully and clearly, and has a sweet personality. Scott was my Anesthesiologist. He took his time to get my IV started in my VERY tricky veins and I hardly felt the needle stick. He also explained everything that would occur from start to finish. Even after the IV was removed, my arm is not sore or tender which I can't ever remember happening from other procedures. Dr. Klippenstein did an amazing job telling me exactly what would happen before surgery, during the actual surgery and even afterwards. When you hear her talk with the staff working with her, you can tell she has a great relationship with them also because they are smiling and laughing. She is truly down to earth. I am about 12 hours post-op and can hardly feel any discomfort. I have to remind myself that I have stitches still in my eyes because I want to touch them. I can't wait to see the full results after I'm all healed.
