Before braces

We had the privileged to have gotten all three Doctor Sys. Dr. James Sy and his two sons, Frank and Alex who helped Jade on her 2 yrs/2 mos journey with braces. They were professional, nice, friendly, kind, helpful, caring, and also a very supportive staff. I can't imagine going anywhere else except for this orthodontist. As long as you clean, maintain your braces per their instructions and go to all your appointments, you can definitely get excellent results. We highly recommend this orthodontic. We were very pleased to know she doesn't have to wear retainers all day, only 2 hours a day and while sleeping. She went home with clear and wired retainers. My 14 yr old daughter is super happy with her teeth and is proud to show them off. Thank you so much for these amazing results!!!

I got my braces removed recently and I am amazed at the results. They look truly beautiful to me and I'm so happy and thankful that Dr. Sy & Alex and their team were able to make this happen for me. Backstory (if you are interested): I had both of my lower 2nd molars coming in sideways causing my teeth to slowly overcrowd more on one side. It wasn't really an issue until aching and a particular odor coming from my mouth started to occur which is when I decided to seek help. All the other orthodontists I was referred to or met with all suggested that I get them both removed and remove the top teeth as well since the upper molars wouldn't have anything to bite down to. However, I did not think removing healthy teeth was the solution to my problem. I waited it out until it was unbearable which I think was bad because the sooner the better. After meeting with Dr. Sy in 2019 I was pretty confident after the first consultation that he was the man I wanted to help me get my "perfect smile". He showed me previous cases that he's done with similar situations which made him very credible and trustworthy. He even guaranteed me that no healthy teeth had to be pulled which I was very happy about. I think a few months in Dr. Alex started to treat me as well. I started coming before COVID-19 (September 2019) but had to stop coming so frequently when the pandemic was at its peak. The office closed down for emergencies only, but even with that, I was still able to get my braces off around the predicted time which was 2 years (September 2021). Dr. Sy is a very friendly and nice man. He really wants to best for his patients and I truly admire that. Dr. Alex is also awesome! We have great conversations and he's really informative on dental tips and procedures if you ask him about it. They are both absolutely great at what they do and you can tell they really want what's best for you. The assistants/staff are really pleasant. They are very helpful and are nice to talk to. The office is upstairs above the nail salon. The atmosphere is very mellow. The parking lot is very tight during the day, but luckily there's street parking. Overall, would definitely recommend anyone who's looking for orthodontists who are truly dedicated to getting you to feel the best about your smile. You won't regret it.

Love my new Invisalign !!!

I think Dr. Sy is absolutely the best orthodontist around. He's efficient and always make the effort to accommodate his patients.

I came in to repair a bonded wire metal retainer on my bottom teeth that I got done in Minnesota about 7 years ago. The glue and metal was damaged from wear and tear / chewing over the years. I loved their transparency, open honesty in their work. The staff are all patient to explain the process and let you decide if you want to move forward. Primrose was one of the rare few offices open on Saturdays so save yourself time calling a bunch of other offices and come here! Affordable prices, prompt service and kind staff from front desk to techs and Dr Luu. The space is airy welcoming clean, air purifier in every room and smells like amazing of an aromatherapy space. I was able to get an invisalign bottom clear retainer impression for future proofing and extra added assurance on top of my bonded retainer repair. All within one hour which is fantastic as their office is well staff and works efficiently. Their paperwork are all very organized, easy to read and they give you a folder of the records to take one. They work with kids, adults and speaks Chinese as well. 10/10 would absolutely recommend them!

This was disappointing to hear since I had braces as a teenager and diligently wore my retainers after my braces were off, yet some issues were left unresolved by my previous orthodontist. I heeded my dentist's advice, and I visited two orthodontic offices, one of them being Primrose Orthodontics. Both offices did confirm my dentist's concerns and that I would need braces. I ended up choosing Primrose Orthodontics for my braces treatment! Their quote was more affordable, and they also had newer, more advanced technology that the other office did not. However, what stood out to me the most was that Dr. Luu and his staff were very friendly and kind, so I felt at ease during my consultation with them. I just had my braces put on at their office, and the process was pretty quick (around an hour). After I was done, they went over some guidelines I needed to follow. They even gave me a tote bag full of goodies which was so sweet! I feel very confident I chose the right place to do my treatment, and I'm excited to start my braces journey with them. I fully trust that Dr. Luu and his team will give me that healthy smile I've been dreaming about!

I remember when he pulled one of my teeth out in our early sessions and said: "I'm not going to lie. This will hurt a little bit." I was in 6th grade at that time. Before seeing Dr. Niu, my prior orthodontists had often lied about pain level and claimed nothing would hurt. Dr.Niu is honest and direct with patients. You can tell he does this line of work because he genuinely loves it. He won't try to overcharge you for unnecessary services. Instead, he'll tell you exactly what you need and work on your teeth diligently. Thanks to his careful planning and excellent treatment, I won't need to pull my wisdom teeth out. He's great with kids and adults. When I have kids one day, I'll bring them to Dr. Niu's office. Would highly recommend!

After months of frustration dealing with this dental office, I feel other parents should be aware…read moreof my experience. My dental insurance has a $2,000 yearly maximum, so I am very careful about treatment costs and insurance usage. When I scheduled my son's appointment on March 5, I clearly stated that I did NOT want a cleaning. Despite that, the office still performed one. Since everything had already been started, I did not stop them. I was also told to wait for insurance pre-approval before proceeding with treatment. Later, I was shocked to see my insurance paid $620 for a check-up, child cleaning, fluoride, and 5 X-rays. The claim was processed on March 10. I followed up several times on 3/13, 3/16, and 3/18 requesting the treatment plan and pre-estimate because I had already confirmed with my insurance that the claim had processed. I finally received a response on 3/27. The office manager, Jenny, presented two treatment options with large upfront deposits because pre estimated come back $0. However, I only wanted my son's two front baby teeth extracted. Jenny told me I needed to pay a $300 deposit for extracting teeth O and P. I specifically asked twice whether the deposit would be refunded if insurance paid more than expected, and she confirmed it would. At no point was a deductible mentioned. I scheduled the extraction for April 2 and paid the $300 deposit. Insurance later paid the office $412.80 for that visit. On April 20, I called to follow up and informed them the insurance claim had already been paid and that I had resolved the previous pre-estimate issue. The front desk told me the $300 would be refunded once they received the insurance payment and that they would resubmit the pre-estimate. I called again on May 7 and was told the pre-estimate had finally been approved and Jenny would call me back the next day. After waiting two more weekends without a response, I called again on May 18. During that call, Jenny first said they would refund the $300 deposit but keep $100 for a deductible that had never previously been explained. She then discussed another treatment plan involving teeth L, S, K, and T and demanded a $1,430 deposit upfront without clearly explaining: * how much insurance would cover * which charges applied to which teeth I specifically asked about tooth #S because the dentist had previously recommended extraction due to my child's discomfort. Jenny shifted the discussion toward fillings and said the treatment depended on the dentist's preference to complete multiple teeth in one visit so my child would not need anesthesia twice. However, the explanation was confusing because the teeth L and S she mentioned were on opposite sides of the mouth. I then asked a simple question: if tooth #S was extracted and there was bleeding, could the dentist still perform a filling on adjacent tooth #T? She could not answer. Instead, she said extracting tooth #S would require a $150 deposit. I asked: "If insurance pays more than $150, will I get refunded?" Her response was: "It depends on how insurance pays." I then asked: "How much does insurance need to pay for me to receive a refund?" Again, she could not answer. What concerned me most was that she said she had worked there for 39 years, yet still could not explain the cost of a simple extraction or how refunds were determined. At that point, she said they would only refund $200 from my original $300 deposit because they were keeping $100 for the deductible, then told me to "go to another dentist because they couldn't answer my questions" before hanging up on me. I later went to the office to pick up my $200 refund check and copies of the X-rays. I attempted to speak directly with the doctor to clarify the treatment plan and costs, but another dentist, possibly the owner, instructed the office manager to simply hand me a treatment plan dated March 5. After months of follow-up calls, insurance delays, confusion regarding deposits and refunds, and constantly changing explanations, I was ultimately handed the same treatment plan created on the first visit -- without any updated cost breakdown or finalized insurance estimate. Insurance covered $1,032.38 and I paid $100 out of pocket, making the total $1,132.38 for a child's cleaning, check-up, fluoride, 5 X-rays, and extraction of two baby teeth. Others can decide for themselves whether that seems reasonable. As a parent, I understand dental work can be expensive and insurance can be complicated. However, patients deserve clear communication, transparency about costs, honest explanations regarding deposits and insurance payments, and respectful treatment when asking reasonable questions. Unfortunately, that was not my experience here.

But this "doctor" wanted to make a big deal saying he had to bill me just to take X-rays of my WHOLE SKULL , I have a nearby dentist I told him I could just email recent whole jaw x-rays to him.
