Dr. Thomas is the BEST! His chair side manner is out of this world! I had a Root canal and he made it painless. I recommend

Original Review Reposted After Unfulfilled Refund Agreement and untruthful…read more I originally posted a review of this experience on March 18. I had agreed with the dentist to remove the review in exchange for a refund. Since I never received the promised refund, I am now reposting the review. Here it is: I am deeply disappointed with my recent experience at this dental office. I scheduled a tooth extraction after being told over the phone that my out-of-pocket cost would be $90 with insurance. Instead, I left with a $910 bill. The lack of financial transparency was extremely concerning. I was initially told that a bone graft would cost around $600, but during the procedure, that amount suddenly increased to $850--and I was required to pay immediately. What made the situation worse was the pressure I felt while still in the chair. The dentist pushed me to make an immediate decision between an implant or a bridge--both significant medical and financial choices that require time and proper explanation. I was also told that a bone graft was necessary right after the extraction, even though a bridge typically does not require one. When I questioned why these options and costs were not clearly explained beforehand, I was dismissively told, "We told you so," referring to information that had never been clearly communicated to me. At no point were the cost differences properly outlined. I also want to note that I never had any issues with the previous owner during my care, which makes this experience even more disappointing. At this point, I expect I may hear more explanations or even an apology, but that alone does not address the core issue of transparency and patient communication. Overall, I felt rushed, dismissed, and treated like just another number. Patients should never feel pressured into making major, permanent decisions on the spot. I would not recommend this office to anyone who values clear communication, transparency, and professional patient care.

Everyone is welcoming, friendly, helpful and courteous. The office is beautiful all year round, up to date equipment and very calming. My family and I have been long time patients and I have referred friends and co workers. Highly recommend.

It was our first time at this practice. Mitchell Solverson reviewed x-rays for my 9 1/2 year old and determined that she had four cavities between baby molar teeth. Typically, I would trust such medical advice but Mitchell Solverson wasn't acting as a trusted professional. He came off very pushy and urgent to get these "cavities" filled asap, even though my daughter was in no pain. He was also insistent that my 11 year old get an already loose baby tooth removed for no apparent reason--no crowding or issues with the tooth. As he was discussing this he came off like a used car salesman. It was obvious that he was looking for ways to increase his billable work. I decided to get a second opinion. I had the x-rays sent to another dental practice. Upon review they found ZERO cavities. The dentist said even if there were cavities the permanent molars will be arriving in months based on the x-rays. There is no sense in filling cavities in baby teeth that are about to fall out. I am glad that Mitchell Solverson gave off such alarming red flags so I could remove my children from his care but am sickened that he was trying to push unnecessary procedures.

Ok so I've been seeing Doctor Solverson for over 20 years. Let me tell you his father was a great…read moredentist but he is a money grubbing you know what!! I got a few cavitities filled and was told by his office staff that my co-pay was $80 which I paid the day the work was done. Later I got a bill for $160...three times the amount they quoted me!! When I talked to the rude woman in the office for the first time she said that the office doesn't follow my insurance's payment plan. Why that wasn't disclosed to me I don't know and I certainly did not understand how the co-pay they told me was only a third of what they really were going to charge. Anyway, things got crazy at work and being on 14 hour days with literally not even a lunch break did not leave me much time to deal with it...that's my fault I know. They called me a few times and I missed the call but when I did get back in touch with them the girl I talked to this time wasn't helpfull either. I made it pretty clear that I wanted to just get this resolved but I did not agree to pay the entire charge when the office was so far off on quoting me what the work would cost me. After a few minutes of getting nowhere I said I'd write a letter to the Dentist and she said snydly "ok if that's what you wanna do". I found out later that the dentist doesn't get involved in the finaces with the patiends and he has an office manager that the girl should have forwarded me to but she didn't suggest that. So I wrote the letter. I just said I really didn't understand why his office didn't figure out before hand that they don't "follow my insurances payment plan" as the first girl had told me. I let him know that I felt his office had dropped the ball and asked if he would he possibly consider settling the bill for a lesser amount. It was clear that I really just wanted to get to someone who could answer that question so we could all resolve this and move on. A few weeks passed and no responce. Then one day a process server comes to my door. I wasn't home so he knocked on my neighbors door and asked if they knew where I was...as if I'm hiding from him like some criminal. It was early afternoon on a Wednesday so I was at work, shouldn't be hard to figure out. When I get home there's this note on my door from him saying he has to serve me legal documents and my neighbors asked what was up. How embarassing! The guy couldn't come back untill the next day and I spent the entire night up crying wondering what the heck was going on. It even caused me problems with my husband since I couldn't help but wonder if he was serving me surprise divorce papers. I just couldn't figure out who would want to sue me! So when the guys serves me the next day, turns out Solverson was sueing me for the $160 bill!! I called him immediately and left a message, he called me back and left me a message saying to talk to his office manager. The next day she got back to me and we went around for a while. She kept focusing on the fact that I had missed a few calls from them trying to collect the debt. I pointed out that I talked to them twice and sent a letter which was hard enough to find time for. I asked about the letter, she admitted that they got it and had put it in my file but never tried to contact me with a responce So what kind of person gets a letter from a patient who makes it clear they want to resolve a bill, and just ignores it and go sues the person?? She wouldn't answer that question so I asked to talk to Solverson. She said he wouldn't talk to me about it, he's too busy. I bet, too busy draining his patients pocket book! I told her I would pay the bill, that was never the issue and my two calls and letter should have been proof that I wanted to pay it but I wanted some answers first and no one cared to help me. At this point I don't care about the bill, I'll pay the whole thing. I'm really just upset with the poor integrity and buisness practice of this office.
