NEW OWNERSHIP SUCKS! I WAS a patient for over 43 years and started going to HTD when Dr. Fox…read morestarted the practice in the 1980's. Dr. Brayman took over keeping Bonnie (dental hygeniest) on board who were all10 stars! That's why I was a patient for so long. After the new owner took over they called me to try and reschedule my exam with Bonnie who said she didn't work there anymore. After pressing them and insisting on NOT changing my exam day they said I could come in and incredibly enough, Bonnie was still working there! I discovered they FIRED Bonnie after over 44 years and my exam date was her last day, don't know why. They actually cancelled many of her appointments to get her out the door ASAP. I got the feeling new management's "brand" of dentistry didn't include one of their most loyal, kindest and best employees and adopted lying to patients as a business practice. I suspect the true reason behind these changes but won't speculate publicly here. I was told they canned Bonnie without cause, cancelled as many of her scheduled appointments out from under her and LIED to me as a patient that she was no longer employed. The new management or office/counter staff is dishonest, terminates excellent employees and I won't do business with people like that. You can't get a better person or employee than Bonnie and she, along with their customers deserve much better. I WILL NEVER GO BACK TO HTD WITH THAT STAFF IN PLACE. The new owner hijacked a wonderful practice started by Dr. Fox then carried on by Dr. Brayman but sadly that fantastic 45+ year plus legacy is GONE.

The dentist suggested that I go out to a endodontist to get a second opinion on my teeth before we started my treatment plan. That endodontist took almost 2 months before I could see them. I went there to the referral appointment . Called back to Oakridge to make my appointment and she said they no longer take my insurance all of a sudden. She was very sarcastic with no apology. The office staff never really made me feel welcome there . Why dental offices do this to people is absolutely ridiculous to make someone feel less than because of insurance. This situation was absolutely unacceptable.

I'm SO grateful to finally have a great Dentist! We've lived in the area for more than 30 years,…read moreand I'd previously tried many (more than a half dozen) of the supposed "best" area Dentists without finding anyone that consistently did good work or that I was happy with. Dr. Boltwood on the other hand is absolutely fantastic. She's gentle, compassionate, meticulous and detailed - something I very much appreciate as someone who's experienced exactly the opposite with so many other area dental offices. But aside from doing really solid work, I've found her to be a very down to earth, genuinely nice person who's easy to talk to and who takes a sincere interest in her patients. Even though I (like most people) never LIKE going to the Dentist, I'm a lot more comfortable going to Dr. Boltwood than I've ever been going anywhere else - because I know she'll do a consistently great job, take very good care of me while I'm there, and will frequently follow-up afterward to make sure I'm still doing OK. Others in the office including her assistant Dawn, office manager Kathy, hygienists Annie, Beth and Dee Dee are all great as well and it's just an all-around good group of people. My wife is also a patient and has had the same great experiences. In short, we can't recommend Dr. Boltwood and the rest of her team highly enough.

Original Review Reposted After Unfulfilled Refund Agreement and untruthful…read more I originally posted a review of this experience on March 18. I had agreed with the dentist to remove the review in exchange for a refund. Since I never received the promised refund, I am now reposting the review. Here it is: I am deeply disappointed with my recent experience at this dental office. I scheduled a tooth extraction after being told over the phone that my out-of-pocket cost would be $90 with insurance. Instead, I left with a $910 bill. The lack of financial transparency was extremely concerning. I was initially told that a bone graft would cost around $600, but during the procedure, that amount suddenly increased to $850--and I was required to pay immediately. What made the situation worse was the pressure I felt while still in the chair. The dentist pushed me to make an immediate decision between an implant or a bridge--both significant medical and financial choices that require time and proper explanation. I was also told that a bone graft was necessary right after the extraction, even though a bridge typically does not require one. When I questioned why these options and costs were not clearly explained beforehand, I was dismissively told, "We told you so," referring to information that had never been clearly communicated to me. At no point were the cost differences properly outlined. I also want to note that I never had any issues with the previous owner during my care, which makes this experience even more disappointing. At this point, I expect I may hear more explanations or even an apology, but that alone does not address the core issue of transparency and patient communication. Overall, I felt rushed, dismissed, and treated like just another number. Patients should never feel pressured into making major, permanent decisions on the spot. I would not recommend this office to anyone who values clear communication, transparency, and professional patient care.
