I needed a couple of extractions and Dr Yaldo said he would have one of the other dentists come in and do them. I was skeptical when this petite female dentist came in, I questioned her strength based on a prior dentist who had a hard time getting a tooth out. Dr Yaldo was confident she could handle everything and said if I got uncomfortable during the process he would finish. I am not the type of person who thinks a woman can't do the job but she was very petite and said, "it's all in the technique!" She was right! I had been in excruciating pain, nausea and vomiting prior to the appointment. The next day I had hardly any discomfort after having 3 extractions. She was awesome and I am sorry I didn't get her name. Going back for crowns and a few other things but very pleased. I absolutely recommend this dental practice. It was determined that a $2,600 bite guard was needed to address snoring issues I have had for many years. Due to the cost of the bite guard, Dr. Banda's office approached my insurance company and obtained approval for work to begin. After the work was successfully completed, a claim was filed for payment which my insurance company NOW DENIED. For over 1 year my insurance company found every way possible to not issue payment for work they had already approved. Barbara and Cyndy relentlessly pursued my insurance company to make sure they would make good on this claim. Thanks to Barbara and Cyndy, Dr. Banda's office received full payment this past week. I had given up looking for a solution until my previous dentist recommended Dr. Haddad. I am now chewing without pain for the first time in decades. The price was astronomical, ( I actually waited a year to get the financing together for the crowns and the nighttime appliances) but worth every penny. The offices are competently staffed, extremely clean and professionally run. Dr. Haddad was extremely helpful in keeping my stress levels down by prescribing me some meds before the work prepping the teeth was done. A special thank you to each member of his team. This was probably one of the best dental experiences, and I didn't pay a fortune ! First, I was a little nervous, when I arrived, due to the fact the waiting room and office area were a little outdated. (I had been going to a dentist in Bloomfield Hills that was very high-tech, but I was paying a fortune!)The receptionist was very welcoming and friendly and upon conversing with her, she noted that the facility was going through renovations soon- felt more at ease. The hygienist was very thorough and kept making sure that I was comfortable during that lovely probing. My dental exam from this dentist was great. She examined all the X-rays with me and gave me some suggestions, so that a very minor tooth issue would not get worse. The best... When I was old enough to have my own insurance coverage, I tried other places closer to home, but I've always come back. I've returned to this office after years of not having any dental work done, and realized the ownership change and all my previous dental hygenists have retired. I'm now seeing Dr. Rollins. I had a chipped central incisor (lower front tooth) and he did a quick repair on it. The work he did was absolutely perfect. It was so good, that the next time I was in their office, he wasn't sure which tooth he had repaired just by looking at my teeth! :) I'm really glad I decided to give this office another try under their new ownership. It's every bit as good as it was before, dare I say even better because I don't feel like this office is only out to make money. Years ago, the previous dentists decided I needed to have work done on all my rear molars and after all the sealant has fallen out or worn down, I have deep crevices that are somewhat bothersome, mainly because in hindsight, I don't believe I should have ever had that work done but I was too young to know that there was an option to decline. I was still in K-12 school at the time. I don't believe Dr. Rollins would even attempt to suggest that I have work done that I don't need. In fact, I asked about an area of concern in one of my teeth and he thought it would be better if we wait, because the work he would have had to do, would have done more damage than the wear and tear that I already have on that tooth. Love it!! IDEA: If you have sensitive gums, be sure you ask about using gas. They are skilled at administering gas which can take the edge off the pain if you're sensitive. I don't have to use gas for my cleanings, but I always ask for it if they're going to drill and it works! It wore off quickly for me, once they turned it off and I was able to drive without noticing any difference in how I felt before I arrived versus when I left the office after having gas administered.
