I took my daughter to Dr. Schochet for the first time and my experience was okay and nothing…read morespecial. First of all, the front office staff are rude, unfriendly, unhelpful, and unprofessional. I am specifically talking about the old lady that sits in the front window and the one who gives appointment on the phone. It could be that both of them are the same person but I am not sure. Front lady wanted to charge me almost $200 for our visit instead of $10! She started to argue with me but good thing I knew my benefits and did not come under her pressure. She then printed out the benefits and as she was about to show me how she was right all this time, she realized her mistake by herself and quickly end the conversation by saying, "Well, you can pay $10, but will send you bill in the mail if insurance doesn't cover." No apology, no remorse, no shame or anything like that. I was simply shocked with her behavior. Of course, no bill came in the mail whatsoever. Dr. Schochet came in the room and instantly handover his business card to us. I found this to be an odd behavior on why he would do that as he is already famous and a busy doctor. Extremely poor way to market yourself. We know who he is and where he is. If we like the service then we would definitely recommend him. What is the point of handing out the business card then? I felt like I was in a some kind of sales office instead of the doctor! During our conversation with Dr. Schochet, he would say random stuff that he think is funny. In fact, I realized that he just think he is funny and doesn't know the limit or when to stop, etc. Honestly, I found some of his statements along the lines of sarcasm and did not say anything because I wanted my daughter to feel better as soon as possible. Maybe that is why this doctor will say anything to take advantage? What I like about this doctor is that he would listen to you and answers all of your questions. He does rush and you have to be quick with your questions but you will get answers. I also liked that this doctor would not just jump into assigning medications but would like to try alternatives first if feasible. My daughter was referred to speech therapist and she recovered after 2 visits without any medications. This doctor and his office can do so much well with adjustment related to front customer service and bedside/office manners. Nonetheless, I highly suggest you to know your medical benefits before you visit this office!

His asthma was not well controlled until we started seeing Dr. Schochet. Upon our first visit, (almost 10 years ago), he put us on a proper maintenance plan and it changed everything. I cannot remember the last time we had to use a nebulizer. Dr. Schochet is thorough, professional, and takes the time to get to know his patients. We highly recommend him!

I was referred to this office called and scheduled an appointment for the following morning. I…read morecalked that morning to cancel the appointment and only got AI to answer the phone. This practice doesn't have a receptionist that ever answers the phone. It is super difficult to get a live person on the phone. I left the message that I need to cancel and call back to reschedule. I received a bill shortly after for non cancellation and no show. I have called numerous times and finally got a live person yo call me back and I was advised that the fee will not he removed because I did not cancel within the 24 hour cancellation police requirement, I reminded them that I scheduled the appointment less than 24 hours before the visit, I was told I would still have to pay the no show fee. This office personnel have a strong language barrier snd no customer service at all! I have never been seen by this practice, they don't care for you they just want your money. Save yourselves a big headache. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS PRACTICE.

STAY FAR AWAY from this UNETHICAL practice!! They charged me up front for "new patient testing",…read morewhich they never performed. After MULTIPLE attempts over the course of 2 weeks to get a return call from their billing department (who by the way you are not allowed to speak to), I finally did receive a return phone call. At the time of this call they informed me that I would not be able to obtain a refund for these NON-PERFORMED services until they submitted a claim to my insurance company and received payment for my OFFICE visit. My office visit had NOTHING to do with unperformed services! They did not even submit a claim for these services, so why would I need to wait??? After their refusal to refund my payment for these services, I was forced to send a certified letter demanding immediate payment, which I finally did receive. However, not long after, I received a letter from them saying that they would no longer see me as their patient... Like I would anyway! LAUGHABLE! Now I found out from my insurance company that they also overcharged me by $166 for my office visit. So here we go again...

I walked out of this facility before even being seen, and I am glad I did. The lack of professionalism and total disregard for patient privacy is alarming. While sitting in the waiting room, I could clearly hear a woman I'm not sure if she was a doctor or not diagnosing other patients through the thin walls. Even worse, the front desk staff were openly discussing another client's medical results right in front of me. One of them actually called the patient dirty. This is a blatant HIPAA violation and incredibly unprofessional. Imagine coming to a facility thinking your information is private only for a complete stranger to hear everything you're going through. To top it off the facility itself was not clean I saw one roach And bugs flying around. I would not recommend this place to anyone who values their privacy or their health. Avoid this office.
