When I returned, I learned she had an emergency and had to leave quickly, which I completely understand, but overall the experience still felt disconnected. Every Madison Reed location is different, and I've had some really wonderful experiences at others. This one just didn't have that warm, welcoming feeling I normally associate with the brand. I've been going to Rumm for about 4 years now & will never go anywhere else! I had gone to a salon in Atlanta, where a colorist completely ruined my hair by turning it orange instead of brightening and lightening my blonde highlights for the Summer. It was quite shocking (and upsetting!), so I quickly googled "master colorists" in & around ATL, & that's when I found Russell Baggett @ Rumm. Russell spoke w/ me on the phone & addressed my concerns, Q's, & reassured me that he'd seen and fixed many hair color nightmares! Although he said he couldn't "promise" my color would be back to "normal" after only one color treatment, he did say that my hair color would be much improved. Of course, he needed to see the damage in person, so I booked an appt. Upon seeing the color, he again assured me that he could fix the problem & that, in fact, he'd seen worse. I think he even said that some of his clients found him the same way I did -- they had bad color experiences & searched the net for the nearest Master Colorist. So, Russell went to work on my hair & actually, it turned out so beautifully after only 1 color treatment that one would never have known I'd had damaged, orange hair 2 hrs. prior! I was absolutely elated!!! But, as Russell is a perfectionist, he told me that I was about 75% of the way there .... with 1 more color treatment/appt., my hair would be back to it's normal blonde.... but, to me, it was PERFECT!!! Since then, I've always gone to Russell & his wife, Millie -- an equally talented Master Colorist! With either, I walk out of Rumm with fabulous, natural-looking hair color! I especially love that, because both Russell & Millie are phenomenal, I have always been able to book w/ one or the other, even during the busy holiday months or Saturdays. For my hair cut, I always book with Layla Little, a Sr. Stylist. She is a very talented stylist & a great, upbeat person! She makes excellent recommendations to enhance my hair & cut as well as suggestions on great hair products that are best for my particular hair type. I'm so glad to have found Layla -- I always leave Rumm with a beautiful cut & blow-out! Everyone @ Rumm is wonderful -- always a smiling face to greet you in the beautiful reception area, complete with a nice beverage/snack counter. Rumm is one of the few hair studios who FAR EXCEED expectations in customer service, despite their busy schedules & popularity. They not only call to remind me about an upcoming service but they also understand when something comes up -- last minute -- resulting in my need to reschedule OR my having to arrive a little later than my appt. time. They're incredibly organized & thoughtful & always do their best to fit me into Russell's/Millie's & Layla's schedules if I'm in need of booking an appt. ASAP. If they can't fit me in, they're always happy to put me on a wait list & most times I've gotten a call the next day, letting me know of a cancellation that's come up. The physical environment is lovely -- a tasteful, artistic and clean design. There are several flat screens throughout, featuring popular movies. Through subtitles, one can enjoy both viewing the movie, while relaxing to nice, low-key music playing in the studio. I highly recommend Rumm Studio to anyone who seeks perfection in hair color, cut and style! They are far and above all the rest, have the very best customer service & a relaxing, beautiful atmosphere!. Russell, Millie & Layla are my personal faves, but Rumm is chock-full of great, talented & caring hair professionals. Having gone to almost every "popular" hair salon in ATL over the past 11 yrs. -- Carter Barnes, Van Michael, Key Lime Pie, etc. -- there is NO ONE that compares to Rumm! If you live in the city of ATL, it may seem like a hike to go to Alpharetta, but believe me, it's not only worth the road trip (approx. 30 min. from Midtown), but you'll love Rumm so much that you'll start looking forward to stopping by other great places in this part of Alpharetta -- Costco is just down the road, as are great eats, like Cracker Barrel and Ray's NY Pizza, shopping & much more! Millie, from RuMM, has been coloring my hair for 7 years & I won't let anyone else touch it! She does a superb job. I've never been disappointed. The entire staff is very talented. Meredith cuts my hair, and does a fantastic job. She listens to me when I explain how I want my hair cut. I can't imagine finding a more skilled staff. I compete in pageants & do various modeling jobs...I can always trust RuMM to keep my hair looking beautiful for the various events I attend. I have been going to Rumm Color for over 4 years, and Kristine by far is the best stylist I have ever had!!! She is a true artist when it comes to color/highlights and cut. The staff at Rumm are friendly ,and helpful. I love the consistency when it comes to the massage you receive when they wash your hair (my favorite). Rumm is very welcoming, and extremely clean!!! I also get my hair colored and highlighted - and have been going to a different hairdresser for color for years. But I've begun to make the break from that hairdresser and had Robyn do my color for the first time a month ago. The color match was perfect, and she used a good quality product - don't remember the brand. Robyn has a comfortable salon room located inside the large Salon Solera building close to North Point Mall. I sat down for just enough time to take in my surroundings, visited the ladies room which was clean and my stylist was ready for me. It has been some years since I have been in a salon. The energy from most I came in contact with or had the enjoyment of being around was great. Their attentiveness lets you know they understand you have places to be and they are taking you and your time seriously. Love it here. Already made my next appointment to return!

I don't think it's fair for anyone to spend their time and hard-earned money on poor service, so I'm sharing my experience. I came in for a flat twist with two-strand twists, a simple style I've had done at Texture before and loved. Unfortunately, this time was very different. My two-strand twists were not completed properly. Many were left unfinished at the ends, and some were already unraveling by the time I got to my car. I also noticed shed hair trapped within several twists, and I was literally pulling loose clumps of hair from my twists as soon as I got to my car. This made sense because after the stylist finished, they put me under the dryer for just a few minutes, then quickly ushered me to the front desk to pay before going back to another client. I wasn't given the chance to properly check my hair in the mirror before leaving. The stylist also didn't clean up the shed hair sticking out of my twists, which made me feel like they didn't really care about the quality of the work. I've had bad salon experiences since I was young, and Texture was the one place I felt I could truly trust. I've been coming here since 2022 because of that trust. After today, however, I feel taken advantage of, and unfortunately, that trust is broken. I don't think I will be returning.
