I went to them for two months, 2-3 times a week and even paid for the magic $90-a-session table they told me about after I paid for adjustments. Didn't do a thing, no change. And the adjustments they do are fairly worthless, and the tests? Forget about it- no scientific proof they work. Plus, it seemed like every time I told them nothing was helping they would encourage me to stick with it, or buy another thing from them or someone else. They told me it would take months to help my back- but they have no idea. Their main goal is to keep you coming in and paying them. Dr. Simms is the worst in this regard. Nice guy- just doesn't think about value for his patients. It was also like pulling teeth to get a defined list of exercises, I basically had to do it myself. They're no worse than other chiros, and I'm sure they help people, but not people with my problem. Wish I hadn't spent so much money finding this out. Now I'll try the medical route, no shortcuts.

It is the type of care that is related to previous physical health, such as injury physically and mentally. Dr. Colby has the knowledge of how to properly treat me, who's had sciatic pain, at a young age. He did nervous tests, x-rays, etc. With those tests, he discussed how I would be treated based on current conditions and how to stretch and exercise at home. My alignment improved over time. After those tests and initial adjustment, I got the best care from Dr. Colby! My sciatic pain has went down tremendously. He knew how to locate pain points. He is gentle and very precise with how he adjusts. No matter if he was over in Granite Bay, or the other location in El Dorado Hills, he made sure I didn't go out until I was in relief. He has a great saying "move it, shake it, don't break it." I was sentimental having to move across the country after the care Dr. Colby has given me for months on end. He was understanding and helped me find a chiropractor in my new hometown to be sure I was getting the same care I've been receiving. The chiropractor recommendation became a smooth transition. I owe it to Dr. Colby for his education and whit of knowing how to properly treat his patients. If you've been looking for a truly effective treatment for your back and neck pain, that keeps you stiff day and night, look nowhere else. This accident resulted in sever pain to the right side of my neck, shoulders, and back. On top of this I had daily headaches and was waking up multiple times a night in pain from my neck. After about a month of this, I decided I should try out chiropractic care for the first time. I finally went on yelp and luckily found Dr. Fowers. Dr. Fowers worked with my schedule to get me in as much as possible early on to jump start my treatment. Her method was very surprising to me and I was skeptical at first, but after a few visits I started seeing improvements. Dr. Fowers does not do the typical cracking we think of when we think of a chiropractor. Her adjustments seem subtle, but they are direct and effective! The office also had an amazing laser technology that aided in my recovery and reduced my pain. Today I had a reassessment and my results were awesome. After finally figuring out that it was approximately 30 visits and only 60 days worth of proprietary supplements sold only to doctors. So I did the math and it turns out for the 35+\- minutes of in office treatment, EACH visit was approximately $100.+ After sharing my experience with my firefighter brother-in-law, (who deals with a lot of pain) he told me about Planet Fitness Black card that includes a spa section that has all the same Red Light Therapy, hydromassage tables, massage chairs and also hybrid red light that includes tanning. Dr. Mountford is different from most other chiropractors that I had seen previously in that he truly cares about the overall health of his patients. He addresses all of your complaints, and then presses a little more to inquire about your overall health and well-being, offering constructive advice and moral support as needed. He also has the tenacity of a Jack Russell terrier, and I mean that in the best possible way. I have been considered something of a challenge because of my condition. When I first met him, instead of shying away from my issue, he latched onto it determined to resolve it. He did research on his own, and developed a set of techniques that proved to be a tremendous relief for me. I credit him with saving my job, and giving me back my life. My condition isn't curable, but with his help, I am able to function at an almost normal level. In addition, he resolved a long standing mystery that had plagued me for years. I had intermittent severe pelvic pain. I'd had all kinds of medical tests and even surgeries to resolve the pain, to no avail. When I explained of my condition he was clear what kind of problems I have and then even he insisted on taking the X-rays. Most chiropractic charge $29 for initial visit and X-rays but he charged $58.00. I gave credit card and she charged $2.00 credit card fee. She should have said that if you use credit card there is $2.00 fee. They don't tell clearly what they are going to charge. Every thing they do is told after the fact. They do not disclose the charges upfront even the visit charges were not disclosed upfront. Since I have insurance which pay for chiropractic visits. I asked this question that do you accept insurance before the service was provided and then he wanted me to come for second visit. After I get there he tells me I should go to chiropractic who would expect insurance. He could he told me before he provided any service. In fact they should ask this question on the phone at the time of making initial visit and advise that if your I insurance pays for the service they must go to chiropractic who except insurance.
