I've made a couple appointments here and I left feeling so satisfied with the results! I'm currently pregnant and have been experiencing sciatica back pain. I'm also in the military and have had a couple injuries that have affected my body. Dr. Tanabe helped me so much! He is super nice and really knows what he's doing! I like that he took time to ask me questions about myself and he really helped me get an understanding of what's wrong with my body and what I can do to make things better. Although the back pain from sciatica still comes back, his visit relieves pain for the rest of the week and it's nice because I love being able to be active and walk around. Ive been suffering from back pain from a gym injury for a few years now and have tried everything, physical therapy, acupuncture massages and i still have bad flare ups. I called to confirm the appt but she didn't actually book it. When I reported this incompetence to Rosita--the office manager-- she was unprofessional and said she was sorry I was upset but that my coming to your clinic was not going to work out. I found Dr Tanabe after 5 weeks of suffering with back pain, that my Primary Care, wouldn't or didn't want to help me with. I went to him, described what was going on, he listened, knew how to help. 1 Day a week, for 2 weeks solved 85% of my issues. I continued to see him, another week, and I feel so much better now, I'm able to walk, bend , get back to my normal life. He was even able to help with a chronic headache issue. No longer a customer and it wasn't because of the chiropractor care I received, as that was decent. Why I left and cannot recommend them is because of their policy for massage treatment. I was shorted twice by 15 minutes. This was unusual as I have been getting massages for 10+ years and was never shorted. I questioned them about it and was told the 1.5 hours I paid for includes my time to undress/dress. What? The doctor gave me a credit and only charged me for an hour. However, in a later conversation, he basically told me he didn't see anything wrong with how they charge and short their massage clients. read more

Dr Tanabe has been treating me for approximately 4 yrs now. I go about every 2(maybe 3) weeks for maintenance. Once, I couldn't go for about 6 weeks and I suffered because of it. He is professional but in a relaxed style. I STRONGLY recommend him if you need a fix. Don't expect to go once or twice and be all better( unless you're really fortunate not to be in chronic pain like I am). Because of him, I can live with manageable pain level without medication. We knew the previous chiropractor before Tanabe took his practice over, my husband would see Dr. Koban on a regular basis. We started seeing Dr. Tanabe 2 years ago, we just love the attention and the immediate response the staff and Dr. Tanabe give. He takes his time to know what your current concerns with pain from head to toe. The staff is just as wonderful and they have the knowledge to help you when you have any questions as well. Now in the recent, I heard that there has been very apparent false Negative reviews here on Dr. Tanabe business page. He tried to contact Yelp, you pretty much said buy into the advertisement of your business(extortion) and then we will remove the false Negative reviews....this portion of my review is to say to Yelp....HOW DARE YOU! He is a small business trying to keep his business afloat and yet you will not remove all the false Negative reviews, I will blast you some very negative reviews on social media and I am thinking about calling a consumer advocate like Call Kurtis or KCRA 3 in regards to the extortion end of this type of business dealing between you and Dr. Tanabe. They will lie & say they take your insurance, then 3 months after the Dr recommends you go 3 times a week, will bill you because his incompetent office staff does not know what they are doing. Dr. Tanabe would not work with me on giving a discount, but sent me to collection without a courtesy call. He even asked if i could get his wife a job. Blamed his office staff for the error and said it was my fault. HE IS A RIP OFF, LIAR. He adjusted me in 10 minutes the laid me on some old machines in the back so he could see more patients. $401 dollars later, my neck still hurts, shoulder pain and he could not adjust me right. I started at Sac Spinal Specialists as some of the customers did. I had a pinched nerve that built up from umpteen years of being a mechanic. Man, that kind of ailment was a 100% SUCK. I saw Dr. Perry and Dr. Tanabe really turned the problem around. Doc Tanabe started doing more of my visits and rose up to get his own office. He's still my chiro. I've been happy with the staff and their willingness to work me in. Some people act like a few visits should fix you instantly, like voodoo magic, but it does take some time and consistency. That said, I just show up every month or two, (or three) now, because I'm still quite active. I've never had a relapse of that initial incident. I had to stay fit to keep my career and lifestyle. That's pretty huge. A few friends who've had back surgery--they're still in pain, stiff, and leery of what they can do--I do whatever the heck I want and am good with it. read more

DO NOT SEEK SERVICES AT TANABE CHIROPRATIC!! I couldn't post a review without atleast giving them a 1 star rating which I didnt even think they deserved that. This is about the worst Chiropractic facility I have yet to come across. On the first visit Dr. Brian Tanabe stated he was an in network provider for our Medical Insurance carrier obviously in order to obtain a new client. After several months of adjustments we began to receive invoices stating that the services rendered were not covered, we immediately contacted his office to resolve the discrepancy in billing. When we contacted his office, he himself stated that his inadequate biller who was also new had obviously made errors & that this would be taken care of & for us not to worry. With the outstanding invoices at hand we opted to stop seeing him temporarily until this was resolved, the next thing we knew we began receiving notices that the invoices had gone to collections, ultimately reflecting negatively on all credit bureaus. THIS PLACE IS A SCAM, I WOULDN'T SEND MY WORST ENEMY THERE. Should you opt to go to this facility, consider yourself warned!! read more
