They forget to invoice you for things, then send you bills for nonpayment, then when you do pay the bill they forgot to send you in the first place the front office doesn't communicate with accounting, etc etc. Or they overcharge you for services you didn't receive and you have to argue with them over the phone about it. If you pay at time of service make sure to inspect your bill very carefully because it's a pain to try to get it corrected later if there's a mistake. I'm feeling generous so the clinic as a whole gets 4 stars instead of 3, but that's entirely being driven by the quality of actual care providers not by the rest of the office.

However, attempting to make an appointment with him is a HUGE negative experience. Expect to wait weeks/months. I was even told once, when the first appointment I could get was 3.5 months out, that he limited the number of patients he sees who have my insurance. I am double covered with insurance and also have an optional buy up vision plan! Today the scheduler was downright rude to me, grilled me about both my medical and vision insurance, and audibly "snickered" when I asked her name. I believe that some of the office staff definately need some retraining on customer satisfaction. Tip: try to get an appointment as early as possible in the day or don't be surprised if you get seen much later than expected... BUT. Dr. Potampa is well the worth the wait and rude staff. Totally trust him and will continue to schedule my eye appointments with him!

I came back to the Dr's office the next day and he told me that it was "Just" dry eye and basically invited me to go home and put eye lubricant regularly. I know that I have options for my eye condition (including surgery), but they brushed it off quickly when I asked about that and contacts. I asked to be scheduled with Dr. Flaherty, but was seen by someone else instead, with no explanation. I also had other questions about my eye health, and they seemed brushed off quickly. I had better explanations and care at the Costco eye center. You pick up your prescription for your glasses and lenses at the desk by the eye glasses and not the front desk. The lady at the back desk seemed annoyed when I asked for my prescription, and offered me zero assistance with glasses (but they had no issue chatting up and being very friendly with another customer). The new location is in a business park and there is free parking. You have to go up the stairs and take a left, and you'll see the glass doors. I'll probably go back to Costco because they didn't rush, and took time to answer my questions thoroughly.
