I went to Dr. Andreas because I wanted to lose weight for the summer. The inital visit cost $410 dollars for blood work and exam. He wears a dirty old mask. Then he prescribed diet pills that are a insane amount unless you have insurance. He doesn't have a contract with Kaiser so you have to pay full price for the pills. Yes suppose to monitor you weekly and for this it's $200/month. When you go in his office is hardly ever open making it very unaccesusble. He doesn't help with any questions about the diet. Even lost his temper and slammed his fist against the desk and shouted. I went to Dr Andrews as my primary care physician for a couple years. When I hurt my back, he said I need an MRI. He filled out the request, and said for me to call to schedule it. The insurance company denied it,(sop), and said the doctor needed to do a peer to peer review before they would reconsider the denial. I went into his office, (you'll never get anyone on the phone), and explained that to him. He got very upset, insisting he didn't order the MRI yet, but now felt I needed it. Over the next 2 weeks I tried to get a hold of him, so he could call the insurance company, which didn't happen. I paid for the MRI myself. 2 partially herniated discs in my lower back. Great doctor. Great staff. I have Kaiser but it is a pain. Dealing with Dr Andrews is quick and convenient. He has done more to help people lose weight than all the doctors at kaiser who do nothing but shake their heads and tell you take their classes. What a bunch of BS. Contrary to the doctor's staff's response. It absolutely was this Doctor Andrews. I am not in thier system, because I overheard the doctor on the phone speaking in one of the most abusive and unprofessional ways to one of his patients or vendors, and I knew right then and there I would never want to do business with anyone who was so abusive, arrogant and angry. There are plenty of doctors out there who offer the same services without the inappropriate attitude. I will continue to rave about Dr Andrews because he is one of the nicest doctors, but with his assistance he has helped me each time after I gave birth to my kids. I was very impressed and pleasantly surprised by how much time and personal interest Dr. Andrews took with me.

Terrible lack of professionalism, not to mention rudeness! Wow, we were referred to this Dr. by my father's podiatrist (whom we love) and since my Dad is reluctant to go to Dr's, I thought it best to take the recommendation and so made an appointment for my 83-year-old Dad to be seen by Dr. Andrews. The Podiatrist had graciously sent my Dad to have a general blood test, but wanted him to see a regular MD to get followed-up with, but he did mention that the test showed some anemia, so we were anxious to see what Dr. Andrews would recommend/have to say. They give you 2 papers to fill out, but one of them is a double-sided micro-size print of just about every question you can imagine, like I myself have never seen any Dr. ask in all my years of going to Dr.s - but we did our best and since my Dad does not have a history of going to Dr's regularly, it was not possible to answer certain things definitively, and since he is hard of hearing, I was not about to (loudly) ask him in the Waiting Room what color his BM's are, or if he has any discharge coming from his penis. I was helping him fill it out, since he did not have his good reading glasses with him. And I assumed we could answer the 20 to 25 questions that we felt sure of, then discuss the rest of it, if it was necessary when we met with the Dr. They made us wait past our appointment time by a while, but the reason didn't seem to be that the Dr. was busy, since I could see him standing there and we got to listen to Dr. Andrews chatting extensively with his staff about the Radiesse rep he didn't speak to at some recent event, telling his staff what to do about certain things, etc. It was a 10-minute chat, he with his back turned to the front desk. The waiting area and his reception desk are full of promo's about Botox and Latisse and weight-loss management, so I guess he's making money in a different way than just being a General Practitioner, but that's also fine, just mentioning in case you are not looking for facial stuff. Dr. Andrews came into the room, got extremely upset that not every single question was circled, and asked me "Can he read, can he write? Does he speak English?" At first, I assumed he was somewhat kidding, but sadly, he was not, he's just a seriously stressed-out, rude guy. I said, "Well, Dr, if YOU can read, it does say that he was born in Cupertino, California, and that he was an Engineer, so yes, he can read and write, and he also speaks English." (we have a Spanish last name, but do not speak Spanish) My father at that point said that he was just interested in getting the blood test results because the other Dr. had referred him to come. Dr. Andrews responded by saying that the papers had to be filled-out completely and stated "I'm the one who went to Medical School and I may not see you if you don't fill these out." He then left the room, left the door to the exam room open and went to chat with his staff. Next thing we know, the assistant comes in and asks me if we can handle the co-pay! My goodness, something is very wrong here - we were both well-dressed, well-spoken, etc. This Dr. has a serious problem! My Dad was so offended he decided to leave and I really couldn't blame him. I told the Dr. we were taking him up on his offer not to be seen, and we left. What a jerk! read more

I went here on Monday getting my usual botox fill for my 30th high school reunion and while I was waiting thought about getting Juverderm . My lines were really making me feel self conscience and Juverderm was the only thing that would take it away and it was cheaper then all the creams I was buying. Dr. Andrews did not pressure me at all to buy anything, he was able to do the procedure right away, he explained everything step by step before he did any thing to me and made the experience a pleasant , and nearly painless one. I have been seeing Dr. Andrews he has always been professional, kind and really takes the tine to see what the patient wants. At first I was not sure what to think! I went to Dr. Andrews for his weight loss management program. The program Dr. Andrews offers is one I had done before with another Dr. and it was very successful however I moved to a different state and I wanted to continue the treatment. I have been on the program for about 2 months and I went from almost a 14 down to a 6. Dr. Andrews staff is very sweet and I can visit the office every week for a weigh in if I want. I do not have to wait to be seen in between patients. I can go in and a nurse will weigh me in and if I need the Dr. he is available so there are no long periods of time that I am waiting in the Dr.s office. Dr. Andrews is very professional and talks with you about the treatment that will work best for you and the most important part is that it is healthy and closely monitored. I would recommend Dr. Andrews 100%! He saved my summer and his program helped give me to confidence to feel so much better about myself! read more

what I hate the most is discrimination! My mother being treated at this clinic by this doctor Andrew was very unprofessional!! She went to get a refill for her meds and because she had cancel her insurance my mother knew she had to pay full amount in cash which she did not mind. This doctor instead screamed at her face saying why she was even there or why she even came.. Said mean things to her face such as implementing that she should have borrowed money from her neighbor(God knows what he meant by that) AND (my uncle called this doctor to verify if he has said this and he said he did!) my mother crying and knowing what could have happened since her blood pressure was going up and all the secretary did was have her sit down and tells her to relax after the doctor yelled and screamed at her. She even told my mother that she should make a complain, God forbid if something happened!! My mother is very shy and does not speak English very well but she certainly can understand.. This doctor may have a degree and went to college but his behavior surely shows how uneducated, narrow minded he is. My mother was verbally abused and reviled. I just went online to get Dr. Andrews' FAX number. I did not get the FAX number, but I did some of the reviews. I could not believe what I read!!! Some of the reviewers must have been paid to write some negative.comments!! My wife and I have been patients of Dr. Andrews for many, many years and we hold him in the most highest regard. He is a highly professional medical provider who is well-equipped to diagnose and resolve medical issues, as well as a friend. I have no idea of why some reviewers would say what I read. As far as his staff is concerned, I have nothing but good things to say about them. You just could not ask for a finer medical group. Reading reviews below are funny. People are entitled to their opinion and based on how we are treated by the office. As some may have had a good experience I myself did not. Every statement I made was 100 percent accurate. If someone wants to read my review and notice I was not attacking anyone from the office but just stating the facts on what has happened to me. Nothing was exaggerated, the man answering the phone literally hung up on me when I asked a simple question. When I called back he started yelling at me without me raising my voice at all. Plain and simple just rude. And that was not the only time that he was rude while I was calling the office. Even a staff member in the office has said he is rude on the phone. So that tells me I'm not wrong in my statements. So keep your own opinions to your own review and don't bash anyone else's that has had a bad experience. It seems really funny to me when people write reviews and try to make other peoples reviews seem like lies. I was shocked to see a bad review for Dr. Andrews!... I did the 30 day cycle of hcg, and lost over 30lbs. Dr. Andrews explained to me, how this diet only works if you follow it exactly (which I did). It is super restrictive but it works. I'm deathly afraid of shots, and Dr. Andrews was very helpful with calming my nerves, and showing me techniques to make the process easier. The staff was so encouraging! Every week when I came in to get my refill shots and weigh in, they would get excited with me over my weight loss. I actually looked forward to going to the doctor for once! I have kept the weight off with the exception of a few pounds (5lbs) which was due to me wanting to take a break- I have about 15lbs I'd like to take off, and start my next cycle of hcg on Monday. If you're looking for a doctor who truly cares and wants to see you succeed, with a staff who is very helpful and encouraging don't hesitate to contact them. Dieting sucks, this one is definitely the hardest but if you commit yourself you will get the results you want. read more
