I have avoided dentists for a long time, going once every two years for a cleaning. I went nearly 4 years before going to see the Dr's as Zorillas office. They did not shame me, they reassured me this was a wonderful step to taking care of myself. That I deserved to take care of myself. For the office being labeled as cosmetic, they do not push at all for whitening or straightening, or anything you didn't book for. They did my cleaning and asked if I had questions about additional services, gave me a goodie bag and booked me for a cavity fill that I paid my copay for, and after that appt they booked me 6 months out. Truly wonderful, kind, compassionate, understanding and reassuring people work here and I am actually excited for my upcoming appointments

Dr. Payal is the best dentist I have visited. She is very detailed oriented and knows her stuff. Inverness Dental office is conveniently located across from Harper College. The office has multiple patient areas with super friendly staff. Dr. Payal and her hygienist are working in parallel in two locations while her staff gets the next patient ready. The office has all the latest technology to take detailed photos of your teeth. Unlike some of my past dentist Dr. Payal would not just tell me I have a cavity and force me to get a filling. Dr. Payal will review any possible cavities with you using instant tooth photos. Based on the situation, she will first suggest preventive measures before taking any corrective actions. I was thrilled that I was able to eat over the Thanksgiving holiday. I called about 15 dentists last Wednesday looking for someone to help me out as my dentist was out of town and I could not reach him. Dr. Walther was the only place that was able to fit me in early enough to get home to start celebrating with my family Wednesday night. I had to wait quite a while to be seen and even worked on once seen, but he DID squeeze me in. I can't complain about that! This is a very fancy dentist office. The chairs are automated and your xrays show up on a computer monitor next to you rather than hung up in front of a bright screen and viewed that way. The ladies that work for him were all very kind and personable. I really enjoyed this trip to the dentist, as much as one can. One weird thing is they do not have a little sink next to your chair for you to rinse and spit. The assistant will rinse out your mouth and suction up the excess. It was weird because I had the urge to spit, but had no where to do so. Kinda interesting how that is suppose to work. I did not care for this part. Not gonna lie, you will notice the increased cost of going to this dentist rather than your old fashion guy that holds a button down to move your chair up and down and doesn't have big fancy machines throughout the office to build teeth. This is a very clean and well maintained office. Much more advanced than what I am a custom to. Dentistry is dentistry. I am not impressed with all the showy stuff, but impressed if you can make my pain go away and repair my issues without much cost to me. His rates are little on the higher side, but they were pretty darn great!

Sure, the front desk and initial visit feel overly welcoming, but that quickly fades once you're actually in the chair. The quality of care during treatment is completely different; rushed, inattentive, and honestly frustrating. There's a clear disconnect between how they present themselves upfront and how things actually run behind the scenes. Another huge red flag is how often the staff changes. Every time I've been there, it feels like there's a whole new team. That kind of turnover says a lot, and it definitely affects the consistency of care. The doctor herself is very avoidant. It's hard to get direct answers or feel like your concerns are being taken seriously. On top of that, not even wearing loupes during procedures feels unprofessional and careless & especially in a setting where precision matters. On top of everything, the office itself is noticeably dirty. It doesn't feel clean or well-maintained, which is the last thing you want in a medical or dental setting. It had been a long time since my last cleaning and checkup, but from start to finish, the experience was great. I was warmly welcomed by Galilea and the ladies at the front desk, both when I arrived and as I was leaving. Big thanks to Tiffany and Smita for handling my overdue cleaning--they were incredibly professional and made the whole process bearable. Dental cleanings are never exactly fun, especially with my teeth sensitivity, but I never once felt uncomfortable in the chair. After the cleaning, I met with Dr. Dabah, who was attentive, easy to talk to, and took the time to go over my X-rays and address my concerns. He was both professional and personable, which made a big difference. Thank you to the entire Smile Standard team! I'll definitely be back in six months for my regular cleaning. They're very organized and offer great reminders in advance of the appointment. They're very up to date and use e-forms which help expedite the process when in the office. Dr. Cho herself is wonderful! She adds details to the appointment that help me informed about my oral and dental hygiene. She may comment on tongue, saliva, etc. in addition to the teeth, which helps me know my own health and shows she's paying attention well! She explains everything and remains very honest with regards to if a procedure is absolutely necessary or not. I trust her judgement and expertise. Very happy with Dr. Cho and her office!!
