Urbanant Handpull - Cask Ale style, a stronger flavored beer. Eddyline - New Zealand Hefeweizen, crisp and refreshing. They also have it in an apricot wheat ale, interesting. Parrot Dog - Okay. Panhead APA - American Pale Ale, good flavors, medium to light beer. Sawmill Hefeweizen - Good and refreshing. Also the beer of the week. Many specials, see pictures. Food, full bar, and wine are also available. Atmosphere - Super convenient, to the cruise ship, dock, shopping for my wife, etc! Indoor, outdoor seating. Interesting and cool decor throughout. Got really busy as it got later. Of course I was here for a few hours while my wife shopped, lol. Events available. Open 7 days a week from 11am till 10pm or 1am. Service - Bar service. They table service, but by then, I already got my flights. Yes, that was plural. :) Price - $30AUD a flight, $19.60US + tip. Expensive, but for me it was worth it! Great way to end the day. Owner Comment - Congrats on all your success. You will be our regular go to place when visiting/docking in Auckland.

I really enjoyed the salads/sides that came on each plate. It was nice to have some freshness with each bite. I really liked the Thai beef salad. We had been eating pretty heavy, so this was nice to have something with bright and light flavors. My Mom thought the duck had a mushy texture. Located around the corner from Giapo so good location to get dinner and dessert. Miann is also across the street but unfortunately I didn't get to try it.

It…read moreis situated on Fort Street, which is fast becoming a foodie mecca, with the likes of Ima Cuisine, Miann and Beirut and around the corner, my favourite ice creamery, Giapo. The first time I dined at Lucky Buddha, I didn't quite know what to expect, but after learning that the owners are Korean, the head chef is Filipino and that they are serving Asian fusion cuisine (namely Japanese, Korean, Thai and Filipino), I was really excited. I have since dined at Lucky Buddha four times, and each time has been a very memorable foodie experience. The food is fresh and flavourful, and the cocktail list and service is excellent. Below, I list my favourite dishes and drinks at Lucky Buddha. For food, I recommend the following: * Sriracha Pork Steamed Buns filled with tender pulled pork, fresh herbs and a cracker spicy peanut sauce. This is my favourite entree on the menu as it has that melt in your mouth wow factor. The bao comes in a pair, so I recommend sharing it with another dining companion, so you can share a few other entrees! * Wakame Salad with Cured Salmon served with creamy avocado, crispy nori, foam and puffed rice. This dish incorporates two of my favourite foods - salmon and avocado, so I knew it would be a winner. The puffed rice and crispy nori gives the dish great texture. * Soba Noodle Salad with Avocado and Teriyaki Chicken - this is the perfect lunch dish! It is another great combination (soba noodles, avocado and teriyaki chicken), is extremely filing (carb + protein x2) and will keep you going for the rest of the afternoon. My favourite part of this dish is the fried crunchy soba noodles on top! * Bibimbap with Korean mixed rice, seasonal vegetables, soy beef and gochujang. Bibimbap is a classic Korean dish and also one of my favourite meals, so I was super excited to try Lucky Buddha's version. I tried this dish only a few weeks' ago, and it is now my new favourite! I loved the presentation, with the brightly coloured veg, flavoursome beef and semi-raw egg. The fun part of Bibimbap is that you get to mix all the ingredients together! Just one sad note - no kimchi. For drinks, I highly recommend trying one of their cocktails. Their cocktail list changes frequently, some of which are only on the menu according to the season. I have so far enjoyed the Dark Stormy Asian cocktail with Mount Gay XO rum, ginger, herb bitters and citrus (a highlight the first time I dined at Lucky Buddha) and the Heavens Surprise cocktail with Herradura Plata tequila, watermelon, mint and elderflower - I just HAD to order this cocktail as it incorporated my favourite food and my favourite spirit! It was refreshing and delicious. Lucky Buddha also has a small wine and sake list and a range of Asian beers on offer, including a beer of the same name. For a non-alcoholic option, try one of their iced teas or house made sodas. If the above is not enough to tempt you, then another reason why you should dine at Lucky Buddha is because of their excellent service. Each time I have visited, staff are friendly and efficient, water glasses are always topped up and you don't have to wait long for your food. Overall, I LOVE LOVE LOVE Lucky Buddha. Thinking about it now, it definitely makes my top five list in Auckland, for its Asian Fusion menu (featuring Japanese, Thai, Filipino and Korean classics), refreshing cocktails and consistently good service. I highly recommend dining at Lucky Buddha the next time you're out!

Grilled beef steak (19) is my favourite but I've kindly let my friends choose dishes this time. Squid & Couscous ($19) tasted succulent and fresh as always. I love this dish too! It's somewhat very refreshing and tastes healthy. We've tried the Prawn ($19.9) for the first time but I wasn't impressed. The sauce was too overwhelming the taste of prawn. Display was a bit awful too. Not a dish I wanted to try again! My friends have a love for eggplants but all we could taste for this Baked Eggplants ($14) was pesto. We also ordered Risotto balls ($8) but nothing was special about it. I didn't really enjoy the creamy cheesy dip. Maybe because I'm not a cheese lover. Their dish seems a bit expensive to be a tapas but I do want to defend them - the amount is huge. And you wouldn't regret ordering it at its price (if you order right things I mean).

I love coming here as it always means catching up with good friends and eating delicious treats. We usually just get dessert and they are so good. My favourite is the raspberry sorbet but the espresso crème brulee and chocolate tart are also amazing! The place is MASSIVE so it's perfect for big and small groups. The loft area upstairs really makes you feel like you're having dinner in an intimate house whereas the downstairs area has the feel of a bar. It's a great place for a cozy evening and it's often not super crowded either which can make a brilliant change from most places in Auckland.

It was a great night - the restaurant had a lovely ambience, the service was good and most importantly, the food was delicious!!! So delicious that I really wanted to come back and try their lunch menu. When a recent Grabone deal popped up, it was the perfect opportunity! I booked a table for two ahead of time and I'm so glad I did! We arrived at 1pm on a beautiful sunny Saturday and the place was absolutely packed! Our table was right by the huge windows that open out onto Nuffield Street. They have ample seating, with a great indoor/outdoor flow and it definitely felt like we were in a European city - such a cool vibe! We ordered a Mojito ($14.50), the Mussels ($18.50) and the Moorish Eggs with Turkish Pide Bread ($17.50). The mojito was very refreshing on the hot summers day and instead of being overly sweet, it was minty and had a good amount of lime in it. My Mum had the mussels and she thoroughly enjoyed them - the flavours were a perfect balance of garlic, chilli and lemon. The Moorish eggs were delicious as well. After seeing many Instagram photos of the Moorish eggs, I just knew I had to order them! At $17.50, one would think it is too steep, but it was actually very filling! The dish consists of 3 eggs and 6 meatballs in a rich tomato sauce, plus Turkish Pide bread on the side. It was very yummy and it would make a great comfort meal in the winter! The service was friendly and we didn't have to wait long for our food. Highly recommend Tasca - it's a great place for all occasions whether it be a function, a birthday, a date night or best of all, a lazy Sunday afternoon!
