I opted for the full order, and then realized once I sat down that I probably would have been better off with the half option. My smoothie arrived at the table at 11:49, whereas my panini arrived at 11:53, so the wait in total was about 15 minutes which is not bad at all for how busy it was. My friends ordered the Greens 5 with prosciutto, Toast 4, Bowl 1, Bowl 6, and everyone agreed that we would definitely come back. One thing that was funny to us is that we felt like the photos on the menu looked smaller than the portions that actually arrived. My friend ordered the Greens and a Bowl thinking it would be small, and she realized very quickly that she was going to need a takeout box for her salad. (This is a good problem to have, rather than the other way around!). The service was also top notch. Even though I ordered on the kiosk, I was still able to interact with the employees, as they frequently came around to ask if they could clear off plates from our table. I also went up to the front to ask for a box, and she kindly directed me to where the boxes were located that I could just grab. Next time, I would definitely mentally prepare myself for how busy it is, but for the quality of ingredients, and the portion size, I think it is great and would definitely come back.

Visiting our friends from Long Beach, they recommended we go to Nautical Bean over by Trader Joe's on the south end of the San Luis Obispo city area. Love the classic 80s feel of this location. Everything from Farra Fawcett, Johnny Cash, Depeche Mode, the classic clash poster, Darth Vader, a beautiful Bowie wall mural, and a Sesame Street skateboard collection. When I travel, I love finding a café that has an alternative vibe, friendly staff, really good coffee, really good food, and a vibe that says, "Hey--you bought an espresso like 5 hours ago. Stay as long as you want!" In other words, it's not a snobby café. It's real. It's authentic. I love it. But it's almost impossible to just get an espresso and leave it at that. The breakfast burritos here are just that good. I strongly recommend the soyrizo breakfast burrito with avocado. They have the recipe down to perfection. You have to travel 20 minutes out of town for anything that comes close. I will be honest here: they do charge a lot for their breakfast burrito... they know what it's worth, unfortunately, and they're going to charge you for it (and the prime downtown location). They also charge a very high credit card processing fee--it's more than any kickback a credit card rewards program would give back--so if you have cash, use that. It's cheaper. Their coffee is very good. You're splitting hairs here when trying to find better coffee, but if you're looking for the best breakfast burrito in San Luis Obispo, this is it.
