I don't like to give harsh reviews. However, I feel it is my duty to make fellow Yelpers and potential Jamba Juice patrons aware of the concerns I have with their baked goods. Specifically, there has never been an occasion, in which I have not seen little black gnats flying around the pretzels in the baked goods case. What-how can this be? I came in for a beverage made of fresh fruits and vegetables! What does this say about their standards for overall quality/freshness. What's even more unnerving is trying to keep a straight face when the trained staff asks me, " Would you like to purchase a baked good with your juice?" Are they blind? Or is up-selling more important than the health code? My advice to patrons: stop by for a drink and a smiley,well-trained Jamba Juice employee, but stay away from the baked goods! My advice to Jamba Juice: NOBODY WANTS TO BE BUGGED BY YOUR BAKED GOODS! read more

They dont ever pick up the phone for orders ahead of time, and then take 20 minutes to make 1 smoothie.

They are understaffed and slow. Don't online order from here if you can help it. Save yourself the time and just order in person. They didn't look at their online orders and I had to reorder everything. Took 30 min for what should have been a grab and go. read more

Place is currently shut down not sure why maybe cause it sucks? Majority of the time you have to wait I'd say on average 10-20 minutes for one drink regardless of how many customers are inside. They are always short staffed and the manager seems inept, overall waste of time read more

This is a perfect spot to go to on a hot summer day. The staff is friendly and greets you when you walk in. My favorite thing on the menu is a Strawberries Wild smoothie. I got a Chunky Strawberry bowl for the first time and I would recommend it. On another note, it is conveniently located in a big shopping center so stop in while you're shopping. read more

I wish I could give this place no stars. It's about 3 in the afternoon and I went for a drink. There is about 8+ people waiting in line to order and only two employees working. One of the employees has only been there a week and has no idea what she's doing. The other employee was a tall guy with curly hair he was constantly checking his phone when he should have been hustling and helping out the new girl. Extremely poor management to understaff during peak hours and on top of that to have one of those employees new without a trainer. Went in at 10 50 on a Saturday. My order was taken right away, it was just an Orange Juice. There were 2 orders in front if me, but people kept walking in... no problem. I waited 10 minutes. A third employee came in and took over one of the orders in front of me. To my dismay the lady after after who had a smoothie got served next. Still no Orange juice. People stopped coming in, the cashier went to help. He was told to prep the next smoothies for the 3 groups that came in after me. I'll never go back. Came here around 1 pm today and there was a long line. My husband and I ordered 2 chunky strawberry bowls. We waited over 20 minutes and got one bowl. Then we waited as customer after customer came and went with their orders. Finally, when we were the only ones left waiting, I walked up to the counter and asked for our 2nd bowl. None of the three kids who currently work there seemed to be able to figure it out. They hadn't even started making the 2nd bowl, so I asked one of the kids to refund our money and cancel the 2nd bowl. The kid asked with an attitude "you want a refund? She's gonna make you the 2nd bowl." I said "yes, she hasn't even started making it yet." The kid shook his head and started making another drink and asked one of the other kids to do the refund. Meanwhile, I could see the girl using leftover stuff that had been sitting on the counter to make the 2nd bowl. The 2nd kid was about to process the refund when the girl gave him the 2nd bowl. I didn't want to wait any longer so I just took the bowl and said to hell with the refund. The stuff in the bowl was pretty much mush 'cause it had been sitting out for at least 10 minutes. None of the kids ever apologized for anything, and my husband had given them a 20% tip to be nice. The whole experience was a waste of time and so upsetting. I know they're kids, but hire better kids, ones with better attitude and efficiency. read more

Just writing a review because someone needs to read these and do something to save this business............I was going here two to three times a week but have switched my business to another smoothie place in Escondido. The place is so dirty. There has been a bookshelf sitting empty to the right of the cash register for a long time...........could you just put something on the bookshelf or move it to the back? Why oh Why are the baseboards around the place so beat up? It just looks like the owners gave up. I ignore that though because usually the smoothies are really good. The service is bizarre it is so bad. Just like other reviews have commented--you walk in and someone immediately says there is a 10 or 15 minute wait. Sometimes I'm told there is a really big order ahead of me. Once or twice I went to order and was asked if I was certain I wanted to stay--obviously they did not want me to stay. I agree with another reviewer that one of the females is very aggressive when she says it. The guy is usually nicer about it. Recently there were 10 to 12 people in the store--three workers. One girl must have been new, but for some reason they had her making the orders while the two who have worked there longer were doing dishes or the register. The guy would pour the drinks--drinks that are usually thick--and they would be sloshing everywhere..........way too runny. The girl handed a customer a drink that was only 3/4 of the way full. The cups all had drink splashed down the sides and the guy was mopping everything with handfuls of napkins. It was like an "I Love Lucy" skit. My drink finally, finally was done...........and it was tasty and I felt so much better because I walked in thinking my job was stressful...........nothing compared to this place. I just stopped in for a smoothie after an extremely long day at work and I was greeted by a young woman by the name of ocean, she had an extremely warm,genuine and contagious smile! She instantly lifted my spirits and made and everyday exchange extraordinary. She had a trainee badge on but i will keep going not only for the smoothies but the out of this world experience! Love that it's so conveniently located near my work place. When I'm rushing, I usually just stop here and get something quick. Rather filling, not the best for me since it has lots of sugar, but it does give me a boost to last throughout the day without caffeine. I sometimes get their fruit parfait as well and get it on the go. Love it here. It lost a star because on certain days, I get a rather confused teenager ringing me up and can't quite figure out who got what. read more

I've been going to Jamba since I was a kid and to this location since it opened. There's a smoothie there to fit almost every palate, and they also sell other foods now, like bakery items, oatmeal, and packaged food/drinks. If you find yourself with a smoothie you don't care for, try a different one next time. My favorite is the Strawberry Surfrider (which was renamed from the Tsunami after the incident in the Philippines). It's sweet and tart and has my favorite fruit! There is a lot of sugar in the smoothies (fruit, duh), which adds up to a high calorie count This location is a very well-lit, contemporary decor/feel space with modern-looking chairs. The customer service is great (if there's ever a problem, they go above & beyond to fix things. They're also great got fundraisers and are involved with the community. Check them out! read more

This location in my opinion is above average, not the best location I've been to, but good none the less. I typically visit on weekday mornings and service is quick. The lobby is spacious and can seat many people. There is also plenty of close parking. I've never had any problems with my drinks here. One thing I don't like about Jamba is their customer loyalty program. It wasn't designed well. You have to enter your phone number when you reach the register and simultaneously say your order to the employees and type in your phone number and follow prompts on the small screen. Perhaps they could have a membership app, that allows you to check in and store points, or link the account with Apple pay etc. something to streamline. read more

Walked in, stood to the side. Customer in front of me got called up, I moved to where she was standing. The cashier rudely told me to move back to the side. I tried to explain to her I was just standing where the first customer was standing so I could read the menu. She interrupted me, wouldn't even listen and again ordered me to move. Curious why the other customer was allowed to stand there the entire time but I'm not? I get that it's Covid which is why I followed examples. No need to be rude to a customer! Just called and they answered the phone with "Hello" don't be fooled and think you called the wrong number! I love their smoothies but the service is hit or miss. Sometimes they spend more time talking to staff who are not actually working but just there to hang out than they do making your drink. In view of what happened to me, I can't give this place even one star. Be careful if you take your children there. Below is a picture of what was in the last drink I ordered... shredded pieces of plastic bag. I almost choked to death and had to have the Heimlich performed. OK OK...Sometimes even fat kids need a good wholesome smoothie. A week or so ago I needed just this sort of "pick me up" and my local Jamba delivered in grand style. This location does get crowded from time to time, but I have always found the service to be quick and on point and have always gotten something I like. Slowest Jamba, with poor customer service. I went in at 2pm on a Thursday and waited in line for a few minutes, which wasn't so bad. After placing my order, I waited for another 15 for my smoothie! During that time, two orders were made incorrectly, and had to be redone. The communication between the staff is where things fell apart. No one took responsibility for getting each customer in and out. For example, the cashier took my order and started my smoothie, then took somemore orders. Meanwhile, the manager who had been helping to make drinks started taking inventory even with a long line of customers who came in after I did. One employee was making drinks and another was washing dishes yet they were flirting with each other. The one making the drinks walked away while my smoothie sat in the blender. I nearly reached over the counter and poured it myself. When the manager walked by, I asked him if he would pour my drink. He ignored me and walked away, and the cashier apologized and poured it, rudely cutting off the customer who was placing an order. Luckily, my smoothie tasted great, or it'd be a one star review and I wouldn't go back to that location. read more

They always have such great drinks and now they have acai bowls and more breakfast options (awesome) my favorite drink to get is the "white gummy" smoothie on the "secret menu" I also love that they do wheat grass shots! Ordered over the phone and was told at this location they don't like to take phone orders because it makes the employees look bad to the customers inside for being on the phone. Not sure if management is to blame for this because at any place duhhh there's gonna be phone orders unless specifically stated that they don't take them what so ever & people know that. I work at chipotle and yes, we have an app too but ordering through the phone when it's only an item or two even three is fine. Even when extremely busy and understaffed. It's just making smoothies and an occasional Acai bowl lol I also happened to call because I'm on break from working at a local clinic in the area so I'm running off a 30 min. Break and with places that are slow I'd like to order in advance so I'm not late. I'll order through the app next time but fr don't leave places understaffed. I seriously try to never leaves bad Yelp reviews. I try my best to pull any positive experiences from a dining/business interactions as possible, however, this was just the last straw. The Escondido Auto Parkway Jamba Juice Location is horrendous. Every single experience I have had has been horrible and I will not be back. I understand that server and technology issues arise uncontrollably, but this location may as well not have a phone number listed because they never answer the phones even when they are not busy, and this is the only location that I'm aware of where you can't place an online order. Because of these unresolved issues (it's been at least 3 months minimum), there is always a major line when you go in to place an order. My issue is not the line, but it's the lack of communication between employees with no real system in place that works. Orders are constantly being messed up, employee frustration is being shown to customers, and each time I have been in, I have waited over 20 minutes for 1 to 2 smoothies. This isn't even an employee issue at this point, because quite frankly, leadership and example begins at the top. Shame on management for operating a franchise this way. It's incredibly unfortunate because this is a prime location, and who doesn't love Jamba Juice? I hope that constructive criticism can be taken, and these issues can be resolved so that more business isn't lost. read more
