Picked up some food from here yesterday. I ordered the jerk chicken, and my sides were rice and peas and collard greens. They had no more baked mac and cheese, so that was upsetting but I did go an hour before they closed. The jerk chicken was very good, and it definitely had a kick to it. it was flavorful and juicy. DELICIOUS. I'm so happy to have found this spot. I got two jerk chicken patties and a mild, along with a cream soda. ($10.20) I went around 5pm and at most places they'd be dried up. But at Jamaican Paradise they're still moist and full of flavor. I'll definitely be back this week and many more times to come. After wanting oxtail but just was not in a mood to cook, I went to good ole yelp for some assistances. Jay O found this place and suggested we go. I was ready to head to Queens for some good oxtails! The place is more of a take out place they probably have just about 3 tables. We ordered right away! Prices are reasonable and range from $6.50 to about $12.00 small,med and large. We ordered a medium oxtail w/rice and peas, and Mac and cheese, a small jerk chicken with gravy, rice peas and yams. Everything smelled really good. Man the oxtails flavorful and juicy! Enjoyed a very delicious meal from Jamaican Paradise thanks to Uber eats. Ordered the curry chicken patty. The dough was soft and flaky and there was plenty of tasty filling. Tried the oxtail meal: with rice and peas and vegetables. Oxtail was superbly flavored and tender, not chewy. The rice and peas were a bit dry. The vegetables were tasty too and also had nice flavor. Tried the Jerk Chicken meal: white meat jerk chicken, mixed vegetables, rice and peas. Tender chicken, very nicely marinated and seasoned. All the food was delicious. It was also packaged very well for delivery so that nothing spilled or got crushed. They also sent napkins and utensils which is rare these days. Thoroughly enjoyed the meal. I had a taste for some oxtails and wasn't in the mood to cook them myself so there are a lot of Jamaican restaurants in the area and I decided to go to this one that I've been passing by for a while And I'm so happy I did I got the oxtails that were tender and flavorful and falling right off the bone and they're rice and beans we're out of this world as were there collard greens They also had some beef tripe that I just had to try it was hot and spicy and just plain yummy. The food is really good...sometimes when your order online you take a risk in getting half the order right.. however in person it's always hitting. My favorite thing is the cornmeal porridge. This is my absolute FAVORITE for Jamaican food. The staff is friendly and the food is the best! Curry Goat with cabbage is my go to. I havent tried anything else simce I know what I crave, but I am sure everything is just as great. Try not to go too late, as they do sell out of dishes. read more

I placed an order for pick-up through GrubHub. I got there a few minutes before the pick up time but was still made to wait for 35 min. I ordered the fish roti. The roti was delicious but I found bones and a pit in the fish. The flavor tasted like home cooking and it reminded me of being in the Caribbean. I would definitely order the roti again with something besides fish. The collard greens and jerk wings were average, as was the vegetable patty. I did like the chunks of veggies in the patty. The beef and curry chicken patties were amazing! Excluding some minor looks that I got, the people there were extremely friendly. It is worth repeating. I ordered one medium jerk shrimp with rice and peas and some curried veggies, one medium oxtail with rice and peas and Mac n cheese, a small red peas soup and a vegetable patty. Being West Indian I am very snobby when it comes to Caribbean cuisine however the food here did not disappoint. I ate the patty in the car on the ride home. It was well seasoned with pieces of broccoli, cabbage and carrots. That set me in the right type of mood. I rushed home and dug into my shrimp. Absolutely delicious with a nice bit of heat. My husband said his oxtails were scrumptious as well. I haven't touched the soup yet, but I'm sure that will be great as well. It's a small little Jamaican Restaurant; the food is behind a glass, and you pick what you'd like on your plate. They also have an assortment of drinks, as well as cakes. You can choose from a small, medium or large. They have 8-10 dishes, and 8-12 sides to choose from. They also tend to be very busy during lunch, so plan accordingly. This place is mostly for takeout, but they do have a couple tables if you choose to dine in. The only downside is that they have a small parking lot which they share with other businesses. Many people coming in and out so be careful! If entering from Sunrise Highway, sometimes there's a truck that blocks your view of the entrance. I decided to go anyway... I get there, and there is a nice guy working, and a transgendered woman/man. She/He did not say hello, just asked me what I want. She sloppily put my meal together, spilling sauce and she was just not a pleasure to deal with. I have been here numerous times before she/he started working here, and there was a really nice woman who worked there, always friendly and hospitable. So I was truly shocked to deal with this unfriendly presence at my favorite Jamaican restaurant in the area. Besides that, my food was meaty with good sauce, but the rice was dry and crunchy. The WORST rice and peas I have ever had in my life. Sadly, I ordered these meals to serve a visiting friend, and I vouched for this place, saying it was great and better than the local Golden Krust. But perhaps I should have just went to Golden Krust, because when I called them to ask questions, they were so polite and friendly on the phone! Knock out Jamaican eat in/ take out spot in a small strip in Copiague serves up mouth watering cooking by a warm, welcoming staff. Curry chicken was spicy and full of flavor as was the stewed chicken. The sides of rice and beans was super tasty and the cabbage added a nice sweet and sour contrast. This place has the best Jamaican beef patty I ever tasted. But they will sell out. They'll replenish them and they're worth the wait. Service couldn't be sweeter and prices are a bargain. The food was okay, not that great. I tried the jerk pork and it tasted more like stew pork, rather than jerk. It doesn't seem like it's cooked in an oven or grilled. The rice and peas was hard, the plantains were overcooked, and the cabbage had a funny taste to it. They also seem a little overpriced compared to other locations. Food was awesome! I was running late to pick up a catering order for my cousins 30th birthday party. The owner kept the place open for me and they were so nice! Every time I called to either make a change or add to my order they we're quick to respond and they were very accommodating, And everyone at the part loved the Oxtail and Rice(that's what we ordered). The price was also very reasonable I called a few different places and this was by far the best value on the island everywhere else I would have to go queens.
