The staff was friendly and there were lots of options for the specials. 3 types of rice, 4 types of chicken, two types of shrimp and a host of veggie options. I opted for the curry chicken with rice and peas. The gentleman/owner also gave me some nice steam veggies on the side. There are a few small high tops to eat at, so dine in was the option for me. Everything was tasty, well-seasoned, fresh and just the right amount of spice. Lunch combos cone with a free soda or water, so ginger ale was a must. Jerk sauce is a bit spicy while the q sauce is sweet. Meat falls off the bone. We typically get a half or full chicken. They'll chop it up with a cleaver. Finger licking good! We love stopping by their tent and smoker setup on the way back from Gateway shopping, the beach, or the restaurant coming or going to 5 towns Costco. For the street side locations, the lines are frequently long, cash only, and they make to order. It's fun watching them smoke or grill the food. Typically standing only... and take out. I decided not to make a fuss out of it, and ordered by delivery two weeks later. Once again, my order was wrong. I called and told the woman who took my order, and even told her that this was the second time that my order had been screwed up, and she said that I would have to come into the restaurant for a refund. Mind you, I had ordered via delivery. Since I was starving and wasn't feeling well, I decided to take a loss (again) and eat what was delivered. The food isn't that great neither, but I don't know of any other Caribbean restaurants that do take out in my area. I will never go back to this restaurant and I wouldn't advise anyone else to go as well. The Door is so much better than this place, but I'm sure that the Hummingbird Ristorante will be out of business soon.
