My visit was impromptu and unplanned, but I was one happy kitten once I cracked the styrofoam box open. I ordered the oxtails with cabbage, rice and peas. While there is never enough oxtail for me, the portion was generous, tender, tasty, and well-seasoned. While waiting for my food order, I perused the beverage selections. I chose a Ting for myself and a ginger beer for my DH. In hindsight, I should have taken a few of these home as they are difficult to find otherwise. Wow! Amazing experience. Wait time was pretty normal for hot, authentic, and fresh Jamaican food. The plates were massive and well worth the money. The oxtails were smothered in the most delicious oxtail gravy I've tasted this year. The gravy was the perfect consistency for me to smother my rice but still stand alone on its on. This is definitely the SLOWEST Jamaican restaurant in town. And after actually visiting Jamaica this past November I can honestly say this food is trash! Most people raving over these oxtails and other items have more than likely never tasted authentic Jamaican cuisine. The wait is too long for the food, even when you call it in. I ordered a large oxtail and large curry goat, when they opened my plate to show me , it look like they might as well had put it in the smallest plate they have. DO NOT ORDER A LARGE THINKING YOU ARE GETTING A LARGE , IT IS THE SMALLEST LARGE I EVER SEEN IN LIFE & IT WAS MAYBE 4 PIECES OF EACH MEAT ! The biggest thing on the plate was the piece of mac and cheese and that wasn't even big . I didn't eat my plate of food cause it wasn't enough for me so I gave it to my boyfriend.
