Patty w/ coco bread and cheese
Holly B.

I have been wanting to try this restaurant out for some time now and I finally was able to make it happen. As this was my first time, I thought it was a walk in restaurant where you could place your order and eat in and or take out but it is take out ONLY. If you aren't sure what you want to order in advance, luckily there is a full menu taped to the front door and they will help you through the order process, then you wait in your car and they will bring out your order directly to your window once it is ready. I ordered the large oxtail plate with cabbage and white rice but they were unfortunately out of white rice so I was given rice and peas. It also came with a few small pieces of sweet plantain. I also ordered a patty with coco bread and it was good as well. The service was great, I can't recall his name but very helpful and patient. The quality and amount of food was great for the price. I will definitely return to try out some of the other items on the menu.

Such pleasant customer service. My bf and I stopped by last night for their Brown Stew Chicken and some Coco cheese bread... there was a minor mistake in giving me the wrong plate which was totally fine because I would've eaten those ox tails too if I ate red meat LOL but I just wanted to leave my review on how apologetic they were both the man and older woman who I think might be the chef came out to our car and apologized. THE FOOD WAS AMAZING!!! LOVE YOU GUYS WILL BE BACK AS ALWAYS

Amazing food and even better customer service. The lady who takes my order is always so nice! They have great prices too. I love coming here; definitely my favorite place to get Jamaican food.

I am not an expert on Jamaican food so I cannot comment on the authenticity but the food here was great. The jerk chicken had just the right amount of spice for my taste, hot but not scorching. The jerk seasoning was rubbed deep into the chicken so that every bite was tasteful. The meal comes with rice and beans and plantain. The menu has some American options and some American and Jamaican deserts and sides.

I would get two large Styrofoam containers filled with rice and beans, pastelitos, some potato ball with cheese in the middle (starch and dairy, my two loves), and a barbeque type chicken which is extremely tender and falls off the bone. All of those delicious nom nom's for like six bucks max! If you aren't from lynn or an area similar to it, you might feel a bit uncomfortable because of it's location and the language barrier, but the food is really good and you get your money's worth. There isn't much room to sit. just about 8 stools with a little bar type area, mainly people will order to go.

La Fe has 2 locations in Lynn: the first one is on Union Street, their second location is on the Lynnway. This is a small hole-in-the-wall kind of place, with seating (stools, tables), so you either do takeout or dine in. Prices are very reasonable and the food is excellent with many options to choose from. The have many fresh different dishes to choose. They have pork , beef, chicken broths and stews to choose. The Food is served cafeteria style, so deciding what you want to try by looking at the dishes is best. My family and I really enjoyed there food and will be visiting soon! This place is a gem! P.S. Their food is not too greasy, which sometimes happens with Caribbean style restaurants. Most dishes are not hot or spicy, but make sure you ask first!
