I came here as a new patient since my insurance has changed and arrived at my appointment time, having filled out the new patient paperwork online where I indicated that I am pregnant a couple of times. I was sat down in a room where they said I would be getting x-rays. I told them I'm pregnant and that I had mentioned it in my paperwork. They kept asking me for proof and asked how far along I am as if they didn't believe me. They said I would need a doctor's note to approve getting an x-ray or to wait until I had my baby, which is 31 weeks. Otherwise, they wouldn't be able to give me a cleaning, checkup, or anything. I get if that's their office policy, but I would have appreciated a heads up so I didn't have to drive there and back, sit in the waiting room, and my husband wouldn't have had to leave work early to take care of our toddler during his busy season. I was hospitalized for several months, and I require extensive dental work. I've been very pleased with Jamacha Dental.

So after calling around to many dental offices I finally choose to go with Jamacha Dental and I am soooooo glad I did. I went in and as previously told I needed to extract my back tooth and also needed bone grafting. I am the biggest biggest baby and terrified of anything doctor related, especially needles. Not knowing much about his work also made me very nervous. Well, Dr Al was unbelievably amazing and walked me through the entire procedure and kept me informed every strop of the way. I didn't feel a thing! He was so gentle and took time to make sure I was at ease. His work was done so clean and everything is healing perfectly so far. I am so happy and pleased with his work. So relieved I finally found my dental office!! Not to mention that everyone else I spoke to from the receptionist to the assistants and Dr Abdullah were nothing short of amazing. Went in to this dentist because they had purchased the practice from the prior owner, who had performed a root canal for me. Being post-pandemic, they said I had lot of work to do. But I had no pain at all. I had them work on just one side to start. My lower left molar she went in and drilled into the cheek side down below the gum line, and all the way into the nerve. She left me with incredible pain, and she says it will be best to extract the tooth. Without any pain when I went in, I would have appreciated it if she would not have drilled into the nerve, and since there was no pain, I would rather not go overboard with trying to treat the tooth if they are just going to say it needs to be extracted. Now, I am looking for another dentist who can do the root canal and put a crown on it because honestly it does not look that bad. I hate to think that dentists might do this just to try to earn more money, but I can't put it out of my mind. Previously, I had them do a cleaning and they did not do any flossing, after making me feel bad about not flossing every day. That is a first for me. A full cleaning is supposed to include flossing. Also during this previous visit, they had replaced a crown that was loose. She put the temp in so loosely it popped off and I had to have it put back in, as she used the assistant, the same guy that did not floss my teeth. That should have been a warning but stupidly, and went back info more. All I can say is I hope I can help some other poor soul to avoid this disaster. read more

First and foremost, I was referred to the business from my insurer. That in and of itself can be a very scary thought. Mind you, I did have my reservations about the rating initially and then when I began to dig a bit deeper... I realized that this is new management with great reviews taking over another with TERRIBLE reviews. Sooo, I called and spoke to Raghad, the front office manager on a Wednesday and got an appointment 2 days later Friday morning! Pretty cool! I went into the office, was greeted kindly and told the woman I had a 9 o'clock and I'm here for the first time. She looked at the schedule and said, it looks like your appointment is at 11...then she said.. sorry for the mix up.. lets have you fill out the forms.. and see if we can get you in.. After filling the forms out, I probably waited no more than 7 minutes and they took me back to get some x-rays with a nice young lady that took very good and careful impressions of my teeth. She was very professional and went step by step with each new x-ray... letting me know how many are left. Then the dentist kindly introduced himself and looked over the x-rays and said everything that is needed based on the x-rays and confirmed what was needed after carefully looking into my mouth. He was very thorough in his diagnosis and explanation of my teeth which was appreciated. I was then introduced to the other dentist that was going to begin with my cleaning. Very nice woman and engaged in conversation with me about the new practice they have and the mission she is on to revitalize the office from the former Dentists' terrible reviews. She proceeded to give me my cleaning and came out with some nice new chompers for the weekend. :) I have to get some more work done and scheduled myself. And after having such a great experience initially, I really wanted to let everyone know.. sometimes you need to look deeper into why they reviews are the way the are.. and in this case.. Attentive and very friendly good follow up and appointments were faster like every week they completed my job

Unfortunately, I ended up having the worse toothache of my entire life. It was so bad that I cried myself to sleep and hadn't ate in 3 days. The pain exacerbated Friday. By Saturday, an abscess formed. By Sunday, I was completely over it. Saturday, I believe I contacted Jamacha Dental for the soonest appt. Dr. Abdullah quickly responded to me within the hour and she sounded genuinely concerned. She texted and called me and I felt like she actually cared and I felt comfortable with her like it's someone I had spoken to previously in the past. The soonest I could get in was Monday at noon. I was surprised that this dental office was a 10 min walk from my house so I was happy to not have to travel far. The office is small and very clean. Front desk was very friendly and I like that paper work can be filled out online or in tablet form now. I was early to my appt and seen right away. The dental assistant (a bald, dark skinned man, possibly Hispanic) was nice, gentle, and quick. I appreciated that he knew what he was doing. I had been to a dentist in the past with an assistant who didn't know how to do x-rays and took foreverrrrr. After that, I met with Dr. Abdullah who prescribed me antibiotics for the abscess. I was then told of my options and asked for a cost estimate of each one. They were very transparent about prices with my insurance which I liked the most here. I knew exactly what I was paying for in total and there were no discrepancies or surprises. They also didn't try to push or upsell me on anything or try and get me for more than what I came in for for which I loved. The women giving us the cost estimate called Dr. Alkaseer in and he explained in depth of everything going on with my tooth and I could tell that he was highly educated and loved his job. This guy really knows his stuff! We were really impressed by him. Dr. Alkaseer ended up squeezing me in the same day for a tooth extraction and bone graft. He was very gentle with the lidocaine shots. So much so, I barely felt them. He turned on a movie for me when I told him I was feeling anxious. Once the shots set in, the dental assistant came in and the dentist started to work on me. I did not feel a thing and he was really tugging in there. He was very gentle and he ended up cutting the tooth out in pieces and the stitch job he did, according to my mom is the best stitch job she's ever seen. She was so amazed by his stitching work! At day 2 post op, I had no pain. I only had to utilize a prescription pain med after the lidocaine wore off. I'm now 7 days post op and I feel perfectly fine although. I go back in today for a follow up appt. I'll update then. read more

I was greeted by kind, very professional front office receptionists. l was also called back to an exam room within 5 minutes after my arrival. The dentist that I was seen by was very kind, professional, and informative. I had a " unique" amount of roots in my tooth, so He referred me to a specialist to schedule an appointment for the problem that I needed addressed.
