Is there a way to give zero stars? Yesterday, i placed a $700+ order online and paid for Next-Day-Air delivery via UPS. Today, when i logged in to check for the tracking order to know when my delivery would arrive, i saw "Shipping Cancelled." When i called the 800#, i was told that because of the "high shipping" that the warehouse cancelled my order. Wha-a-a-at? After a very confusing (and rude!) conversation, i ascertained that the Jam Paper employee was asking me to call UPS or Fedex and MAKE MY OWN DELIVERY ARRANGEMENTS?! After being transferred to "supervisor" Anne-Marie (see other reviews mentioning this employee) I was told that yes, the warehouse is part of the same company, but no, she had no control over what the shipping department did. When I asked her to simply cancel the whole order (did I mention that I needed this order in my office today???) she replied, "fine - your order is cancelled." And then hung up on me. So, I emailed the company: Subject: Re: JAM Paper & Envelope: Cancelled Notification This is to confirm that Supervisor Anne-Marie cancelled our order due to your company's inability to fulfill Next Day Air, as originally ordered via your website. We expect all charges associated with this order to be voided in full: $724.73. Customer satisfaction is not 100% and there was no "Can-Do" attitude displayed with either of your employees today. It defeats the purpose of offering Next Day Air as a shipping option and charging me for Next Day Air delivery, if I need to call back the next day to make my own shipping arrangements with UPS or Fedex. Nowhere during the checkout process online yesterday, was I told that "high shipping" would negate my order. Your website and your staff have failed to deliver the ordered product as promised online yesterday. ***** And below is what I received - not exactly sure HOW I dropped the ball. Sheesh! I only found out about this by logging in to check for the tracking number and that is how I discovered your shipping department had cancelled the order. Emails did not arrive until AFTER I had called your 800# and was treated to the rude hang-ups of your employees tasked with 100% customer satisfaction and a "Can-Do" company attitude. There is NO WAY that those envelopes were going to get to my office today: the NEXT DAY from when the order was placed. There is no "next step" that I can take today to get the order here today. Your website incorrectly sold me a product and a delivery time that your company cannot fulfill. That is your company's mistake - not me dropping the ball! Here's my experience with JAM paper and envelope. I realize it's a novel, but this is what appears to be their typical MO. Plus it's pretty incredible that it turns out in the end the obnoxious employee isn't some rogue, disgruntled kid, but rather the owner. That's right, the owner of the company. Here it goes. I ordered 25 recycled portfolios on a Tuesday morning. I placed the order online and provided my FedEx account number and selected 2-day shipping. I needed the portfolios for a huge PR event on Thursday morning, so I needed them Wednesday at the latest. Just to be on the safe side, I opted for the expedited shipping. Once I placed the order, I called JAM paper and spoke to a CSR. I asked if the order would ship that day since the website indicated the were in stock. I was reassured by the CSR that they would ship Thursday and arrive Monday. I received no email confirmation of the order, but referenced my order number from the website as I called immediately after placing the order. On Monday evening once our last FedEx delivery failed to deliver my order, I called the 1-800 number. The following is what took place: Me "hi, I wanted to check on the status of my order. It was scheduled to arrived today and didn't." JAM Paper "What is the order number?" Me: I didn't receive a confirmation of the order, it's under "Blank Advertising." JAM Paper "Oh, that's shipping today, I know because I just followed up with them in California." Me: I contacted you guys after placing the order and was reassured it would arrived today." JAM: "nobody would have told you that!" Me: Why do they have to ship out of California? JAM: "BECAUSE THEY HAD TO BE MADE. DON'T COP AN ATTITUDE WITH ME. " Me: I'm not copping an attitude, first of all you just told me I flat our lied. Listen, I need you to ship overnight to me and I should not have to pay for that up charge. JAM: Well you're not going to get them unless you pay for overnight shipping. DO YOU HAVE ANY IDEA HOW MANY SHIPMENTS GO OUT OF HERE A DAY?!? Me: No clue, but I do know that this isn't usually how people treat their customers. Why wouldn't you have notified me that the item wasn't in stock instead of assuming it was ok to ship a later date? I'm looking at the website now and it says that it is in stock. Can I get your name? JAM: It's Michael Jacobs, Can I get yours? Me: It's on the order. Michael: Do you want me to tell them to ship overnight? Me: Unless you're covering the difference in shipping, I'd rather cancel the order. Michael: YOU WANT ME TO CANCEL THE ORDER?!? Me: Yes. Michael: (hangs up phone) (one minute later, my phone rings) Michael: Do you want me to ship these overnight? Me: Yes. I did receive the shipment the next day and called to attempt to dispute the shipping charges. The employee was TERRIFIED. She lowered her voice and said she would ask him. I ordered an item online to be shipped to a PO Box out of state. It doesn't say anywhere on the website that they are unable to ship to PO Boxes. When I placed my order, I was contacted via email informing me that I needed to choose a physical address to ship to. I was unable to provide one as the PO Box is the only business address that I use. I was told that my order would be cancelled and I would be refunded. Fast forward approx 4 weekdays later- I had not received a refund on my credit card or any follow-up email with a confirmation number to state the cancellation on record. I called and spoke to a guy (who sounded like a college kid that I had seriously annoyed by calling to bother him while at work- my apologies!!) who assured me that the order was cancelled. I asked for a confirmation number but he refused to provide one and was just very rude overall. I have never experienced such poor customer service. He told me to "chill out" when I had not raised my voice or spoken over him, and was simply requesting a piece of information that should have been provided to me to begin with. Fast forward another 2 or 3 business days later: I STILL hadn't received a refund on my card and STILL hadn't gotten any sort of confirmation number via telephone or email. I send an email that was clear, polite and to-the-point explaining my situation again and requesting some sort of confirmation that this was even being handled. I received a generic, automated response back stating that the return would be issued. I finally saw the credit back on my card almost 2 weeks after cancelling this order, and after dealing with some bad customer service. Let me remind you again: it doesn't say anywhere on the website that they do not ship to PO Boxes. If it had, I wouldn't have this issue to begin with! The items are overpriced anyway- I ended up purchasing the same enveloped on Party City's website for half the price and cheaper shipping. I won't ever be dealing with this company again. read more

I am astounded at the pride in which 3 separate people at this "company" were exceptionally rude and patronizing and insulting. It's stunning actually. I ordered 18 dollars worth of envelopes but needed them in a hurry so was perfectly happy to spend the 66 dollars for next day delivery. Got terse email the following morning saying something I didn't understand: "Cancel order because HIGH, please send Fed Ex number". I sent back an email saying I didn't understand, and thatI I didn't have a FedEx number, please process the order. They sent back an email..One of the owners said "Lose the attitude, send your Fed Ex number, and get over this minor issue." I was astounded. He then proceeded to tell me the entire staff was laughing at me for being incredulous at their rude and disrespectful manner. Meanwhile they still billed me for the entire thing. This company should not be in business. Do NOT ORDER ANYTHING FROM HERE. Unbelievable. I am writing also to the BBB, not that this "company" would care. I see from their Yelp that their manner in which they treat customers is consistently awful. As they've adopted a COMPANY WIDE POLICY of insulting and treating their customers like crap. read more

Good products, customer service stinks. Training would go a long way. I ordered a large quantity of products. When I called to tell them that there was only 1 envelope in the box they shipped, the woman who answered the phone replied with "am I on candid camera?" I don't think she had a clue how to deal with the dilemma. Once I got someone who actually understood the problem she was not helpful in getting the order expedited to meet my deadline. I asked if she could ship next day air (no, she couldn't). I asked if she could ensure the product would be delivered by 10:00 a.m. the following day so I could meet my deadline, her response was "I don't know how to do that" (guess she's never heard of FEDEX).
