We eat here a lot, like a few times a week. We always get cheese dip to go with the chips and salsa. Portions are HUGE. I can't eat a whole meal, heck, I can hardly finish half! I wish they had smaller portion options. I end up ordering off the a la carte menu or splitting something. Their margaritas are awesome (and priced well, too!). Decent food and nice people but very creepy bathroom and a little dirty and very cold to the point I was shivering.

We love Jalisco's! I get the ChoriPollo (chicken & chorizo) every time. It is equally delicious every time! The wait staff is always pleasant. They are quick and accurate. The restrooms leave some cleanliness to be desired, never has been unbearable. I recommend stopping if you're in the area. read more

Not only is this the worst Mexican restaurant; it is the second worst restaurant in Salem. The food is terrible and the service is only describe by a word worse than that. It doesn't matter if there are 2 people in your party or 20. Unless you speak Spanish and are 'in', I wouldn't expect to get at least par service. I've personally waited 30 minutes for a server to take my drink order before. The food is not exemplary of a restaurant serving Mexican food. With the sometimes still frozen salsa and bland dishes, I would recommended a visit to your local Taco Bell. I have visited this dump numerous times against my better judgement to be with friends and am reminded every time why I detest everything about it. If you're looking for a restaurant with at least good food and passable service, I would recommend avoiding Jalisco Mexican restaurant and making your own margaritas and tacos at home. Better than the average Mexican restaurant. Great place in Salem for a meal and to split a pitcher with friends. I always enjoy my visits though I wish they had a half portion menu or something because like most Mexican restaurants the portions are immense. Nothing to shake a stick at. Watered down salsa every time. The burrito I have ordered many times was missing a few components, as was the person I was eating with burrito. Margarita was very good, and the service is great though. Food took longer than it should have. They were not busy and all three of us ordered the same thing. The only reason I even continue to eat at this Mexican restaurant is because it is the only one in town. The mariachi band was very good, I love the violin they had playing with them. Good food, great service. Try the shrimp Burrito California. The queso can be a bit runny until it cools a but, but the guacamole is wonderful. The atmosphere is very nice. Very bland. No seasoning. Didn't taste like salt and pepper was even put on my steak for my fajitas. My Diet Coke was the best part of my meal. My friend got a taco salad and that was even messed up. How do you mess up a taco salad? That's like messing up Frosted Flakes! You can't mess up Frosted Flakes! The El Tapatio (#56) is my fave dish. Prices ranges from $4 - $15 per person (drinks extra). Friendly servers and hosts. The food is always HOT. I've never had a sub-par visit to Jalisco's. Quick service, with fresh chips (most times) that come out moments after you're seated. My 4 year old loves Jalisco's. Allow up to 3 minutes to be seated on a busy night. This is not a quiet place- People are very comfortable when they visit. (If you feel like being alone with quiet ambiance, don't come here!) Jalisco's has two locations-- one in Salem and one in Alliance. Both have equally good service and dining experiences. read more

Decent food at best. I had the lunch special Burrito Aiteno with chicken. The chips and salsa was average, especially the salsa was bland. The chicken was seasoned well but not as juicy as I would like. The servers were attentive but spoke little English. Not sure I would come back again. read more

It's a great place to go with family (including young ones) and friends - the service is patient and expedient. If you desire you can be in and out in 15 minutes (the food comes out very quickly) or 2-hours (if you want to try your size at the California Burrito). We eat here regularly and have never had a bad experience (with the food or the staff). read more

Having spent a LOT of time in places like California and Colorado, I know what very good Mexican food should taste like and this is it! I am constantly stunned at the authenticity of the arrangements and after at least 30 visits I have never had bad food or bad service. The prices are very reasonable at about $9-10 a person. Arrived 4:30 on a Wednesday, not busy but not dead. Took eight minutes for my order to be taken after being seated. The waiter never came back after I was served except to hand me my bill. The food was delivered rather quickly, nice and hot. As reviewers recommended, I got the #55 California burrito (w/ground beef). Great value for the money, nice taste, enough for 2-3 people but bland in texture, nothing but beef & beans. I would highly recommend opening up the burrito and adding some type of salad to add some crunch unless you like moosh bite after bite. Overall, not one server smiled or offered any personality nor help, like no one wanted to be there.
