A solid taqueria in the neighborhood. We came across this place after attending a festival in the area. Drove right past to be exact and decided to stop in for a late dinner. The place only had a couple of tables filled when we got there but shortly after arriving the place filled up quite quickly and all the tables were filled. They have a wide variety of items, a little pickled veggie bar and salsa. We ordered a 3 taco combo, a 2 taco/burrito combo, an al pastor sope, a tamale and an horchata. The horchata was decent sized and was good, did not have an excessive amount of ice in it either. The tacos came with beans and rice and were good. The tacos were $3 each and if you did the combo it was $10 for 3 tacos and rice/beans. The burrito was filling and was perfect to share alongside the tacos. The sope was just as expected. I enjoyed the avocado like salsa at the bar. Everything was tasty and a great deal for the price. read more

Really enjoyed our experience to Jalisco Tacos on the day of Mexican Independence. The restaurant was prominently lit up at night and I can't help but turn around and stop for a meal. The menu is affordable and I liked the combo platters. We had the three taco, the two taco and burrito, a sope and a tamal and a large horchata. It reminded me of the Mexican neighborhood taqueria that I went to as a teen. Just good food, kind and attentive staff. They have the 'fun' meats for tacos including lengua, tripe, head, milanesa. My kids gobbled up all the food. I really liked the salsa/condiment bar that they have to jazz up your food. The restaurant was packed around 7pm on a Saturday, that means it is a winner in my book. No frills dining room, with majority 4 person booths. Large parking lot and open late! They do charge 3% additional for credit card, the menu prices are for cash. read more

Although I didn't capture a photo of my dish, the quality of everything was exceptional. I thoroughly enjoyed my taco dinner plate and specifically ordered the tripa taco well done, which turned out to be how I requested; a delightful surprise. Additionally, we ordered two large horchata drinks, which were both refreshing and delicious. My husband opted for a burrito and he expressed his satisfaction with its superb taste. We were grateful that this restaurant was open on New Year's Eve, as it was our first visit but certainly not our last. We left as content and satisfied customers. I always come here when in Aurora for their tacos dorados desebrada. I grew up in Aurora and this place is by far the best place for their crunchy tacos. It might be because I grew up here but this is my favorite restaurant ever for cause dining. Tacos are crunchy but not overly cooked and the meat is soft and melts in your mouth. Their side bar always helps spruce up your food. Salsas are all very spicy and perfect blends of vegetables to get a good consistency. I hate watery salsas lol. Wait staff has always been young men from their family or family friends that have always been very courteous for the 20+ years I've been coming here. They get really busy on the weekends as they stay open late but they have a not of booths since it's for in and out service. Definitely will always recommend! read more

Tongue taco $3 - This taco was surprisingly not greasy. The tongue was meaty but not very flavorful. Good, but my favorite is still from Las Cemitas. Excellent authentic food. Friendly and attentive service. I got the chicken quesadilla and it's was great. The cheese is quality and the chicken was seasoned perfectly. My friends got chicken, steak and chorizo tacos. They loved the chicken and steak. They didn't like the chorizo as much, apparently the meat was a little grainy and not seasoned well. In all seriousness, people who like tacos places to eat out at are weird and don't know quality because almost ALL taco places are the same. It's like desiring McDonalds or Wendy's you know it's CRAP and the crap tastes the same everywhere. The only difference in taco places being how fresh ingredients are and the slight comparison of quality of things such as iceberg lettuce, tortillas, and beans LOL. That being said this is the ONLY taco place I have ever craved. I don't even crave garbage places like McDonalds, Wendy's, or Burger King anymore as my body knows their trash much like the majority of taco places that I never crave. This place is absolutely outstanding. It's a Jalisco style Mexican place, so while there isn't really any variety in the menu beyond what you'll find at a zillion other places in Aurora, the speed that your food comes out and how quickly they turn over tables is beyond insane. You know how at a normal Mexican place you order your food, and have a while to sip on your drinks and munch on some chips? Not here. You order, your chips come, and moments later you're juggling things around on your table as your server is trying to hand you the rest of your food... Which comes direct from the kitchen so hot it'll burn your mouth if you don't give it a minute. Prices are super cheap, it's easy to get out of here for under $20 on dinner for two, and everyone is super friendly. Bring cash if you can as they charge you a 4% fee to use your credit card. Normally these kind of up-charges annoy me, but they have this posted on practically every surface and on the door when you come in, so it isn't any kind of surprise. Another tip: Skip the potato tacos. They're good, but otherwise unremarkable compared to how great everything else they serve is. The beef, chicken, and pork are so flavorful that the potato tacos comparatively are just this odd vessel for salsa, which, I guess, is cool if that's what you're into. The worst tacos! Ordered crispy tripe taco and they were soft. Tried a steak taco but it wasn't skirt steak it was really gross flavorless meat. Jamaica water was also not good it tasted like tap water and overall bad experience everything went out to the garbage. read more

A solid taqueria. I walked in & ordered to go. I didn't wait very long for my food and the employee that helped me was really nice. They did not skimp on the sauces (a lot of places do), so I was really happy with that & they were both good! I got 2 steak one chicken and both were good. This place is awesome. The food was fresh, well prepared, and delicious. I try to keep it real so I will say as a gringo first timer, it was really cool to be the minority. Staff was super friendly as were the other patrons, but it is an experience being on the other side of the equation. Love that they bring you lime right from the jump, no need to ask. I love lime on everything. Two items that will make this already great place even better: 1. Fountain drinks (admitted diet coke addict) 2. The chips are fine, but I think they can do better. I got..the worst case of food poisoning that I have ever had in my entire life from here. I've been here quite a few times, it was always decent, but somewhere in the last year, the taste of the food changed. My boyfriend noticed the same but we kept going back every now and then hoping it would be better. I get cheese enchiladas, and the last time I was there, I thought they tasted a little odd. I stopped eating halfway into my first enchilada, and gradually started feeling worse and worse. I woke up in the middle of the night and then endured about 12 straight hours of vomiting. The place was squeaky clean like the lights made the whole place light up and all you could see was blinding cleanliness. A+ for clean. The place is small and the primary people that come here are Hispanic (holla) meaning that most of the worker's first language is Spanish. Time to brush up on that high school Spanish and or get ready to mime. And no, I'm not saying they don't know English because they do. Jaliso is a little warehouse of a taqueria, situated by a large-ish parking lot off of High Street (appropriately). The set up is unusual; the menu is posted along the wall like a fast food joint, but if you actually sit down and take a table you will be waited on as with a traditional restaurant - albeit you still have to look up/over at the wall to order. That said, the only staff members who *seemed* to understand English well were the teenage employees; our waitress had trouble understanding simple requests in English, respectively. (My friend and I were the only Gringas in the joint). Now, for the food...que rico. Although you have to pay for chips and salsa, they do bring out a bowl of lime slices for free, and nothing is over $7 - cuz for $7, you get the whole platter'd sha-bang (minus chips and salsa): burrito, taco, tostada, beans and rice. You will be bringing fully 1/2 of it home, happily. Although larger than what you get on a platter, I really don't see the point in buying an individual burrito; it's only $2 cheaper. (Might as well go for variety, eh?) Moving along, you get to select a meat for each item (if you want carne)...I chose chicken for everything and it was super juicy and well marinated, covered in some sort of thin red sauce that wasn't hot sauce - but milder and much, much tastier (and I like traditional hot sauce). They also put plenty of veggies, avocado slices, sour cream, and cheese on - and in - everything. Great food, succulent lengua, sweet tasty hot sauce. It doesn't get any better than this.
