There is also a camaraderie that develops with the other students in the class. Although none is painting the same thing, we all learn from each other by listening to the directives given by Sheri. Her studio is spacious, and coffee and snacks are available. This is not a "one-lesson go home with a painting" place. You turn out a professional, beautifully detailed painting that may take you 4 weeks to complete, but it shows the work and talent which went into creating it. It is a relaxing 3 1/2 hours a week (you can certainly take more than one class a week, she offers 3) in which you create something of beauty and enjoy other people's company. 6 of us decided to do resin boards as a fun Sunday activity! We made a reservation, picked out…read moreboards in advance, and we arrived and everything was set up and ready to go. The staff was so helpful with the process as we didn't know what we were doing. They walked us through each step and gave us a lot of choices for colors and also images for inspiration. We took over 3 hours to create our boards and we were all super happy with the final product. They close at 5pm on Sundays but we ended up there much later completing our projects and we never felt rushed. Thank you, Craftworx! The studio is bright and clean and welcoming. They service wine and drinks and snacks! There are so many different projects to choose from! We can't wait to pick up our dry resin boards (they have to sit and dry for a few days) and we are already planning our next projects!

He was nervous during the first lesson, but came home singing praises for not only how fun the drums were,but also how kind his instructor treated him. We've been at SOR for roughly 2 years now! Lessons are great, Prices are reasonable, Opportunities to perform are abundant, but the best part, the Instructors become friends, and the Fellowship of families become home. But the instructor gave great instructions, was patient, and made the experience so enjoyable. And my painting came out fairly decent. Walking in, we were greeted inmediately and signed up. Grabbed an apron and picked a spot. The instructor gave enough direction so you know what you are doing and guides you jn the right direction but you are free to make it your own. It was interesting to see how everyone interpreted their paintings. In the middle, we took a quick break to play pictionary. That was unexpected but really fun. At the end, there is a drying station and we even got to pick extra paintings to take home. You can bring light snacks and drink to complete the experience.

I feel like I just turned my head to chat with a mom and suddenly my daughter reappears with glamorous flowers on her face, with magical glitter and sparkles. Heidi pays great attention to detail, she takes time to ask and observe what the child likes by chatting (and maybe looking at their outfit choice ex: colors, cartoons, etc).
